I have added a lot of the new natural clear versions, Hera II, Combat Troodon Gen III, Gen III with Interceptor blade, 2 Cypher II’s, a few Ultratech’s, a natural Clear Glykon, last Gen Merlot Combat Troodon Warhound… LUDT, Stitch… everything you say applies especially the stability of the company, you know they will be around where some of the newer competitors seem to make knives and disappear for long periods of time - this is a great company with great products and the new models with upgraded actions are just incredible!
I have a few Microtechs, 3 DOC's, a Kill Switch,,,,,and a 70%. Just pulled the trigger on a full size Ultratech. It's a blue D/E black blade with black hardware. I'm pretty excited,,,,I can't wait,,,,💥👍💥👍💥👍🇺🇲😎
You are 100% correct! My collection consists mainly of Chris Reeve (I have 17). Now that autos are legal in Pa (Thank you KnifeRights and Doug Ritter), I have ordered several Ultratech’s - these are tremendous value and supporting made in the USA is key these days! Great video!
I recently got my first automatic, a UTX-85. I will say I am thoroughly impressed with what I got and at that price point, it almost feels like a steal.
Have an Ultratech and my newest are Guardian Tactical’s. Both are extremely well made. The GT’s are very smooth due to their ball bearing system, however, when deploying the Ultratech there is a different kind of satisfaction. Make sense? I’m looking for another Microtech but just not sure which one. The Hera seems a little too much for what it is. We’ll see.
Hera is pricey for sure, nice body style though. To me, you go with what blade profile you most want to try, single edge has best edge geometry to me. You can't go wrong with a combat troodon if you like the big knives but a bit more expensive than the Hera.
I recently ordered my first Ultratech that arrived with no edge on it - completely dull on both sides of the D/E. Not sure how the sharpening step got missed on that blade, but I had to return it. Based on Microtech's reputation, I'm assuming I got a one-off dud so I did just order another one so we'll see..
Absolutely not. If you look at the competition across the board, American made you're not going to find much around the same price point. An ultratech is actually cheap compared to some other options nowadays.

Love my Ultratech II, just wish my states’ laws would change so I could carry it. I intend to fight for my knife rights.

I have an Ultratech but my next Microtech will be the Combat Troodon or the Socom Elite(I can’t decide between auto or manual).
@BT_Spanky you will love the manual socom elite. But auto is so cool. I like having one manual because it is less chance of a failure.

That’s crazy. Should have ground it yourself. I have a couple and they come pretty sharp. I always tune them up with the ceramics and stripe.
I just purchased a Hogue Compound w/tanto blade. A VERY good knife!

Not sure other than their website, but a Google search of knife laws in your state would suffice. I also call local law enforcement to ask.

I use to say the same thing. I carried gas station knives my whole life. I got my first microtech in 2021 and I immediately admit that I was wrong.
