Mom, Monica, is a dentist. Dad, Luis, co-manages. I believe he was some sort of audio engineer, or was involved with a studio. All 3 of these ladies still live at home, in the same shared room that they grew up in. Their rehearsal space is in the basement, Dad sold his Harley to reno it from a tv room. Rudy Joffroy, their manager, has been with them since they were 11, 14 and 16.
Mom was a dentist. She probably stopped working because of the children. The two are now full-time managers of the band. That had already confused the producer of Lava because the parents are there everywhere. But they had to because Ale was not yet of legal age when the contract with Lava was signed. My impression is that they are a good cop, bad cop team. The father has a love for music, the mother has the ambition to see a successful outcome.
@@ReactionsThatRock Have you reacted to the TEDx performances there is two of them start with the one from 2016 so that you can see the progress from one year to the next. It is a must see. Many of the TWA started with these and fell in love with them.
After recording their third album the drummer said they had to learn to play again. They went to the point of the drummer and bass player practicing together with the drummer watching her sister's fingers on the bass to get her drum hits to match up with the bass. Pau, the drummer said she got really tired of her sister Ale giving her the look each time she started to get out of time. Pau has called her sister a machine & kind of scary. Both Pau and Dany the guitar player have referred to Ale as a human metronome. They do normally use a click track but even if it fails Ale will keep them on time.
As a bass player, that is true🙂, although the drums and bass have to really be connected to keep the best time together. BTW-while she doesn’t like singing lead(but will do it when necessary),Ale is the one of the 3 that has perfect pitch!🥰 These girls are SO f@£ talented, nice and amazing!
Pau, the drummer, who wrote this song, has said that 23 and mean 2023 when she turned 21 and was able to drink alcohol in the US or it can mean age 23. They have said that they leave some ambiguity to their songs to give the listeners a chance to come up with their own interpretation.
That makes sense to me. After seeing the title, I kind of had the blink-182 line that nobody likes you when you’re 23 in my head. Of course I’m sure these girls don’t have a problem being liked.
I must admit that my friends think I'm a little bit crazy, since I flew from France to Mexico only to see them play live and have a Meet&Greet with them... They might be right... Still... I'm waiting for them to announce tour dates in Mexico later this year, and... do it again ! Because the 6 shows that I'm going to next april in Europe might not be enough 😀
I'm flying over to the UK for two concerts in April, those will be my first ever The Warning shows. As soon as they announced their European tour, I was buying M&G tickets for both nights.
@@scottinokc I promise you won't regret it ! Saw them in London and Toluca last year, both times M&G (and even soundcheck in UK) and show, they are absolute sweethearts and amazing performers !! See you in UK in april ;-)
Actually, Pau has a quad processor. She handles all the background tracks and the lights, pictures in the background, and etc. She also is the lyricist for the band and the ideas woman. Dany said in an interview that Pau comes up with the lyrics or song ideas for most songs.
I’m going to agree with you. Their family, crew, management are all wonderful and they always include them on stage after significant shows or end of tours!!!😊⚡️
I've followed them and been a patron for about 4 years now and they have been amazing the whole time. I felt compelled to go see them during their 2022 tour, so I actually left the house and went to Dallas and stood almost at the rail in front of Ale. It was the first show I had been to since I saw Def Leppard in 1981. It just about killed me standing that long (I am sixty-something) but it was totally worth it.
That’s amazing! My wife won’t stand at the rail anymore as she’s discovered a great intolerance for pushy people now that she’s in her 40s. I’d push my way in though! Sounds like a good time!
Pau the drummer writes most the songs lyrics and melodys , she does them on the piano then presents to the sisters then they vote , 2 votes win and then they begin the warnify the song l
Dany's personal song is "When I'm Alone". Performed live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is the best version of it, in my opinion (at least until they release the official Pepsi Center version).
@@ReactionsThatRock The live performance of this song in their hometown of Monterrey on 10/25/23 is my favorite. Dany becomes overwhelmed by the crowd reaction and has to pause briefly to gather herself. Very powerful stuff! 🥲
@@ReactionsThatRock A little backstory on that song, that you may, or may not remember when you get to it. Written by a homesick 15 year-old. They were all at Berkeley, in Boston. Dani was feeling extremely homesick, but had an assignment due in the morning, so she used that and wrote the song. It is the only Warning song with no backing vocals.
There are literally 5 people in this band Mony(mama) Luis(papa) Dany Pau and Ale. With Rudy and the team they form a united front and are probably one of the most impressive and cohesive group of people in the rock world.
@@ReactionsThatRock how many or have you ever heard of rockstars that have toured the world and still live at home with their parents in the house they grew up in and share a bedroom, the same bedroom that they have shared all their lives?
14:00 This is a Great band that happens to be composed of a family from Mexico where all the members happen to be female sisters. While that helps them stand out, it is the least special thing about them! Their music is great, no matter their age, gender and nationality. Viva The Warning and the Villareal Velez Family!!!
One may think that the songs that are going to be sang by Pau are designed with the drums around that, but at the same time whenever Dany isn't feeling well (or forgets the lyrics) Pau takes lead like it's nothing without missing a beat.
Great reaction Seth! Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Nothing is set in stone until it makes it through the gauntlet. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. And yes, their parents are so sweet. I've talked with them on #2 occasions and they are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. 👋☺️
Literally everything you said was awesome! Especially your first sentence! 🤣 I’ve GOT to watch some behind the scenes stuff here. I find this so insanely interesting. They’re like Mexican Lady Chevelle… with better hooks. EDITORS NOTE: Chevelle are honestly some of the nicest people on the planet and have always insisted on buying my wife’s drinks! 😎🤘
*23* *23* , like many of their songs, is left open to interpretation... some have speculated the title is for the year "2023" while others have thought it references someone's age... i was not sure but have come to see it as being about the year "2023" because that's when Pau turned 21 years old... the lyrics "barely old enough to drink" are fitting in many locales where 21 is the drinking age... in DPA/TW's home area, the drinking age is 18, IIRC... anyway, this is certainly a song about caring deeply for someone from afar, holding back, and then realizing that, in the future, they will meet that someone again... how they will handle their feelings and memories and what may possibly happen... then again, while it sounds personal, maybe this song is about something they might have read or seen in a movie or TV show... after all, their song *Amour* comes from a 15 second clip of a scene in the movie _"Ratatouille"_ ... that scene has the camera looking through a hole in the wooden floor... there are two characters down there having a fight... maybe a lover's quarrel? i don't remember... anyway, they are arguing, they suddenly hug each other, and it is done; end clip... there's also their song *Wildfire* which was inspired by _"The Hunger Games"_ movies... i think at least the 2nd one titled _"Catching Fire"_ ... DPA/TW have drawn inspiration from a lot of places... IRL, books, movies, games, etc 😹 this song has brought tears to many eyes... while being a powerful drummer, Pau is also a fantastic and very emotive singer... i don't go a day without hearing DPA/TW... they possess both, my heart and soul... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
OMG! I love hearing about the inspiration! A good writer can find it almost anywhere and turn it in to magic! Side note: now I need to rewatch Ratatouille.
You guessed everything pretty much right. This is just a great rock band period. I think this will be a big year. Not only are their parents nice people but the three sisters are the nicest people you'd ever meet, They don't need to rely on gimmicks, everyone that works with them has nothing but positive things to say. You'll definitely be seeing a lot more of them.
I think your take is spot on. I’d like to see them do a spring tour with a big headliner. Maybe hit 35-40 cities. Then come back and headline a fall tour. I think getting on the road and in front of people will win everyone over. Their live performances seem amazing!
Thanks! I would if I could but I’m actually no longer working in broadcasting. Most of us have been replaced with computers and voice guys covering 10 stations while pretending to be local. 🥲
I agree with you regarding fakey, melodramatic reactor posing for thumbnails. Many even recycle the same handful of them repeatedly. I appreciate it when the pose is taken directly from each reaction. It doesn't seem to be too impossible to be real about it. 👍
I get it. You may see a reused thumb pic from time to time here but I try not too. Sometimes the screen grab just doesn’t work out the way I want it to. I actually have my phone set up beside my camera snapping pics every 3 seconds in hopes of a great thumb image.
I always recommend the Allison Hagendorf interview as a great place to learn about the ladies. It's one of the best interviews I've ever watched, she really covers everything with them. It's definitely worth an hour of your time. th-cam.com/video/hKS2tKQiU-M/w-d-xo.html
They are so tight because, for one reason, they took nearly 2 years off from touring for Covid and used the time to rehearse their material, improve it, and work on new tunes. Pau is the beating heart of the band. Not only is she just as good in her own way as Dany when it comes to singing, but she beats the crap out of the drums at the same time, and as you note she's not doing very basic drumming as she sings. Beyond all that, she's the main arranger and lyricist of the group as well as the one in charge of the electronics (yes, they do use tracks, very subtly). Notice, too, that the song doesn't musicsally resolve at the end. Dany's last note leaves you wanting a return to the tonic. (I'm not a musicologist, so hopefully I didn't make a fool of myself with this comment.)
I’m also not anywhere close to a musicologist. I’m just a guy who fell in to a job because I liked music and talking. 😂 I did like the way the song ended. It had me hanging on for a bit wondering if something was coming. Maybe they’ll release “24” on their next album. 🤣😂🤣
@@ReactionsThatRock I think they ended 23 the way they did to convey the sense of unease the subject of the song was feeling. They often play with their songs in nonstandard ways. One notable example is the "Mayday Mayday this ship is going down" section at the end of Animosity. The first time I heard it I had to play the song over again to make sure I hadn't missed a prior use of it. Nope. They tagged it on the end which was unexpected and brilliant.
💥💢💥💢 Hi🤘🤘🤘 I'm a fan of THE WARNING since 2015 and I want to share some facts you'll like: ⚠️ "THE WARNING" ⚠️ They are three sisters from Monterrey🇲🇽, The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal Singer. They were inspired by "Rock Band" the video game, and two of their songs are available on "Rock Band IV" the video game, they were on The Ellen Show in 2015. They are fully bilingual ass they attended a bilingual catholic school in Monterrey MX. Later, all graduated high school through homeschooling. And you won’t (find a bad song). There’s 50? Songs in their catalog (& covers). I’ve NEVER skipped a The Warning song. & that includes their (not rock or metal) EP written by literal children. (The song ‘Escape the Mind’ composed with piano & strings… amazing) Pau is generally in charge of “the feels” department but piss her off & you’ll get her feels right between the eyes. When you get to ‘Narcisista’ you’ll see what I mean😊 & yes, that is EXACTLY their parents.
Hey Dude! You are totally right about their parents. They are lovely, humble, charming people, and are always with them while touring. I have three sisters and I cannot believe how well these three get along. They are each other's best friends and there is no ego on stage with them. Each of them do what is necessary to serve the song, not to grab the spotlight. And as you said, they are each amazing musicians and songwriters in their own right, yet are more than the sum of their parts when together. They are very special indeed, and like nothing I have ever seen in my 50+ years of being a huge fan of rock. Future Legends!
Nice reaction... as you mention many Warning fans have traveled the long mile to see them... personally the longest for me was going from Texas to Colombia to see them perform at Rock al Parque Rock Festival back in 2022... but the one I remember the most is a guy from Guam that went to an LA in 2020 at the Whiskey a go go just for the concert... but like that, there are many fans accross the globe traveling and support them for years now... see you in the next one!!!
I agree - The Warning does not use or rely on any gimmick or qualifier, just great rock and great performances. As you know, back in radio-only decades The Warning would be chart climbers when nobody would know where they are from or what they looked like - they would be jamming to the music.
The sisters are each other's best friends. They only fight while deciding how to do a song. I've seen a couple of videos with Pau baking a cake and them teaching each other their instruments. Except Pau learning the bass
if you haven't seen any of their vlogs you might be interested in seeing their "Mayday in the Making" set about creating the Mayday/Error album... it is like 6 parts... 20 minutes long... a lot of information and look at them and how they perform the magic they do...
DPA are their own biggest cheerleaders and always have been supportive of each other. They have sibling things at times, but they still share a room at home, which is very similar to how they travel on tour. And yes, Mony and Luis, their parents, are still together, are the nicest people you will ever meet, and they have foremost always been supportive of their daughters' ambitions. Certainly, they did a lot of things the right way in raising them.
The sisters, having attended a bilingual school and learning English at a young age, are absolutely fluent in English with little to no accent. Rudy is also fluent in English due to his prior career. Luis and Monica (parents) are conversational in English but speak with a noticeable accent. Most of the crew is also conversational in English so they don’t have many problems when they tour in English speaking countries but they obviously prefer to speak Spanish when together. If you’ve ever seen the rare picture of Monica when she was young you’d swear that she was a 4th sister and is obviously where DPA got their “looks” from. IMO, Ale is almost a dead ringer of her mom, Dany takes after her Dad more and Pau is a combination of both parent’s appearance wise. Their parents seldom ever miss a show and usually travel with them. Monica did stay home for their recent South American leg of the Error Tour. Pau is roughly 5’ tall, Dany around 5’3” tall and Ale is somewhere close to 5’7” tall. You hit the nail on the head when you said they don’t show off onstage. It’s my assertion that they all play what is needed in the moment for the song and are all likely playing far below their actual skill levels as instrumentalists for the benefit of the band as a whole. They do give us brief glimpses every now and then of how skilled they actually are as musicians and those moments are treasured by TWA. Most people say their superpower is playing live onstage but it’s really how amazing they are as people. The way they treat their fans is incomprehensible. They have basically grown up in the public eye and TWA may know more about them than any other fanbase but simultaneously they keep their privacy intact. They absolutely treat their fanbase as part of their extended family and trust that their fanbase will respect them and act accordingly and it works out surprisingly well as you have seen how amazingly loyal their fanbase is. DPA have million of “aunts and uncles” across the globe that want nothing but the best for them because they have earned that by who they are as people. Whatever “it” is, DPA has “it” in spades and that’s what makes them incredible in my book.
Great reaction (apart from the mic noise ☺). Please shift back a few seconds after every video pause to ensure you don't miss an important moment or transition.
Thanks! I’m still a bit new to using hotkeys in TH-cam but I started doing this on my next set of videos and will be sure to do it going forward. Thanks!!! 🤘😎🔥
During their second album they worked with Larry King (the musician of course, not the talk show host) a bit and he gave them lots of tips on singing. Also, someone else has probably mentioned this by now, but Pau sings while running to help build up her stamina.
Pau es capas de moverte el sentimiento cuando interpreta 23 un tema verdaderamente bello ,este tema es mucho mejor que los temas ganadores de los Grammy
Love this Song since the first Time i heard it. Thank you 👍 What else about Pau should I write, anything was said from the others before. I call her the Human Octopus 👍🤘
Enjoyed your reaction despite the scratchy mike. 🙂 Kidding. It was fine. Nice breakdown and analysis, and impressed by your correct assumptions. I won't bother making a suggestion since there are already 127 comments as I'm writing mine, but... okay changed my mind. Do the official music video for S!CK just released last week. I can't get enough of it.
Solid recommendation! I actually recorded this Friday morning of last week. By Friday evening, S!CK came out and I was kicking myself in the head. Almost didn’t put this up because of that and the scratchy mic, but figured it was at least an average reaction to a great song. 🤪
Great reaction, as usual. I really like the way you note interesting things that not a lot will notice. You have a great balance of appreciation and critical thinking. They have a few songs with guitar solos, but not a ton. If it doesn't serve the song, then it doesn't belong. That is their philosophy. And most of the solos are the soulful melodic type. As opposed to the flashy, blistering type. Though Dani has shown she can shred when she wants to.
If I didn’t already pin my comment about the sh!tty microphone I’d pin this because I’m a huge fan of flattery! 🤪 I like that they are willing to to push back a bit against conventional songwriting methods (solos) to the benefit of the song. I noticed that their bridges get a little showy, but for everyone and not just a spotlight moment. I dig it!
@@ReactionsThatRock Showy bridges, showy fills, showy bass lines. Gotta spice things up. Gotta flash that talent for the people that notice little things like that.
If you want to be really blown away by The Warning, give a listen to them covering Metalica's Atlas Rise when they were just kids: Ale 12, Pou 14 & Danny 16.

They all three were musical prodigies (it does not feel fair that much talent in a single family, right?😂). They were playing at big festivals when the youngest was 11 years old and released their first album when the bass player was in 4th grade! Disney and others wanted to sign these three prodigies but they wanted to change them "from the business point of view" according to Dany's own words. They said: "No" One of these guys asked them , "do you want to play in front of 12 people or 12000?...Pau said: "we prefer to play for 12 people to betray ourselves"...
Yes TWA Rocks!Pau the mastermind and PauerHouse also drummer of the year and TheWarning Live band of the year! Yes 5 feet of nuclear Pauer! 10 years of playing together as a band!
The sisters have always emphasized close vocal harmonies beside their obvious musicianship - Pau is the principal songwriter and they were already developing their original style in these performances from 2018 at the Dakota Bar in their home town of Monterrey MX - They were 17, 15 and 13 at the time 🎵 th-cam.com/video/YwbYUT3A1po/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1Q5JKNeew3cYLVli th-cam.com/video/lM8KeQ_tNQc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ra9BhQTzrfF6xNUz th-cam.com/video/MQVJs5PG_AM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KKtUyGZnrRWFD2nR

@ReactionsThatRock Performed as an encore, after already playing for 2 hours, as a treat for the club owner, because he was a Metallica fan. 3 teen girls outperforming 4 grown men.
Looking forward to seeing you react to Disciple also from the Teatro Metropolitan concert. In that both Dany and Pau share the vocal lead while Pau beats the hell out of her kit. All three sisters can sing lead and Ale has done so on occasion but she does not like to be lead, but does so if Dany needs a break or is ill. I've liked a lot of bands in my time, but I have never followed a band at the level I follow these impressive young women. They dress stylishly and eloquently, but don't sexualize their appearance, they let their music and skill do the talking for them not their looks and that is something that really impresses me the most. I'm sick of artists that can barely sing gyrating and twerking on stage in skimpy outfits with little talent other than that, so these girls are really refreshing and really good. They also have a great deal of intelligence, they held out for years until they got a record deal under their terms, they get to keep all the rights to their music past and future and also have full creative control, something rarely allowed in signing record deals. The negotiated for seven months before signing and turned down some big labels in the past because those labels wanted to change who they were, their look and their sound. They know who they are and what they want to achieve and won't allow the industry to run roughshod over them.
Thanks! Disciple is on my list for sure!!! I’m surprised by how grounded they are and how they were able to keep control. That’s VERY hard to do for a young band! Good for them!!! 🤩
Yeah, but, you can react to Dust to Dust PERFORMANCES you haven’t seen before. 😁 My guess is that you saw the Teatro Metropolitan performance. You need to check out the original performance from 2018 Lunario CDMX, just to be blown away by a 16 year old Pau who performs Dust to Dust like she was a 30 year veteran rocker! And if you do that, you might as well continue reacting to the entire concert which showcases their iconic concept album, Queen of The Murder Scene!
Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra... They have nothing to do with commercialized and artificially inflated bands around the world. They themselves are the authors of their original songs, they are studied musicians... and they no longer make covers, by the way. They are the youngest veteran artists in the rock world. Metallica, Foo Fighters, Def Leppard, Guns 'N' Roses and Muse are just some famous bands that have been very pleasantly surprised by TW's talented proposal, like all those who have sold out their concerts in the US. Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina… In addition to Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic and United Kingdom. NO, I'm not mentioning the rock festivals, where they were also very successful, but where they headlined and were the main attraction. Muse was so impressed by the girls, who opened their concerts in America, that they invited them to continue with them on their tour of Europe and even in their own country of United Kingdom. It's redundant to say it but they were also very successful. Among their TW fans there are musicians, music producers, sound engineers, roadies, etc., from all over the world. Furthermore, and no less important, they are the first Latin American band to sign with a top international record label (UNIVERSAL). And just superficially mentioning what happened at the MTV VMAs where they very positively impressed (impacted) the production staff and everyone who witnessed it. All over the world, budding rock groups are covering the band, including Asia and Australia of course. And that DPA are doing all this at their very young age and on their own merits. What they did not do was stagnate solely in the field of rock in their own language, which is the "ceiling" in which other Spanish-speaking groups have always limited themselves. It’s such a talented female band that does not “exploit” its sexuality, they’re educated, humble and such good human beings with a truly exemplary attitude. This year they will play in several European countries in which several have already sold out and have even had to change venues in others. Yes, you continue with the TW presentation "Live at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX", please. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️

After recording their third album the drummer said they had to learn to play again. They went to the point of the drummer and bass player practicing together with the drummer watching her sister's fingers on the bass to get her drum hits to match up with the bass. That’s so crazy! I played bass a hundred years ago and always relied on the drummer (who, in hindsight, could NOT keep time!). 🤪
Yeah, that is something most don't pick up on. The bass, not the drums keep the time onstage.
As a bass player, that is true🙂, although the drums and bass have to really be connected to keep the best time together. BTW-while she doesn’t like singing lead(but will do it when necessary),Ale is the one of the 3 that has perfect pitch!🥰
These girls are SO f@£ talented, nice and amazing!
She drums harder while singing in “disciple”.
I’ll have to check that out!!!
Crazy can be fun! You don’t make many memories sitting at home!!! 🤘😎🔥
💥Pau💥 is an alien. The people on her planet all have 3 brains and they use them all at the same time..🤘🎶☮️
Ha! Now that’s actually believable!
Love that, explains a lot....😂😂
A good possible description that fits the observed data
Actually, Pau has a quad processor. She handles all the background tracks and the lights, pictures in the background, and etc. She also is the lyricist for the band and the ideas woman. Dany said in an interview that Pau comes up with the lyrics or song ideas for most songs.
@@jamesanderson5268 With hyperthreading...
Thanks for the reaction. Viva The Warning! ⚡⚡🤘🤘
🤘😎🔥
I’m going to agree with you. Their family, crew, management are all wonderful and they always include them on stage after significant shows or end of tours!!!😊⚡️
That’s awesome!!!🤘😎🔥
Drumeo: Pau... The Best Drummer of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The awards don’t lie!!! 🤘😎🔥
Pau the drummer writes most the songs lyrics and melodys , she does them on the piano then presents to the sisters then they vote , 2 votes win and then they begin the warnify the song l
Wow I did not know that! 🤘😎🔥
Great reaction to a mind-blowing song and band! You’re right about their timing and they got it the old fashioned way - they really put in the work
Really seems that way! Just incredible!!!
Dany's personal song is "When I'm Alone". Performed live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX is the best version of it, in my opinion (at least until they release the official Pepsi Center version).
Oooh. I’ll have to look that one up! Thanks!!!
That’s awesome that their folks are involved in such a way! Love it!!! 🤘😎🔥
@@ReactionsThatRock how many or have you ever heard of rockstars that have toured the world and still live at home with their parents in the house they grew up in and share a bedroom, the same bedroom that they have shared all their lives?

@@ReactionsThatRock it is cultural in Mexico..they usual stay at home until they get married but it is kind of adorable if you ask me. 🙂
@@bearkiti9974 I didn’t know that. It is totally adorable though and really just makes the whole family more likable!
If you watch closely you can see her using ghost notes on the snare on top of those funky bass drum lines
I didn’t catch that the first time around. I’ll have to watch it again and look for that!!!

Current ages are 24, 22 and 19. Paulina does a number of songs as lead vocalist. Check out Narcisista for one.

14:00 This is a Great band that happens to be composed of a family from Mexico where all the members happen to be female sisters. While that helps them stand out, it is the least special thing about them! Their music is great, no matter their age, gender and nationality. Viva The Warning and the Villareal Velez Family!!!
🤘😎🔥
One may think that the songs that are going to be sang by Pau are designed with the drums around that, but at the same time whenever Dany isn't feeling well (or forgets the lyrics) Pau takes lead like it's nothing without missing a beat.
That’s just mind blowing! Raw natural talent refined with years of hard work!!! 🤘😎🔥
Do you want to take a trip to the 80's, check out their concert the did at liceo
Wait. What? How did it take me this long to hear about this?!?
I’ve GOT to watch some behind the scenes stuff here. I find this so insanely interesting. They’re like Mexican Lady Chevelle… with better hooks.

*23*
*23* , like many of their songs, is left open to interpretation... some have speculated the title is for the year "2023" while others have thought it references someone's age... i was not sure but have come to see it as being about the year "2023" because that's when Pau turned 21 years old... the lyrics "barely old enough to drink" are fitting in many locales where 21 is the drinking age... in DPA/TW's home area, the drinking age is 18, IIRC...
anyway, this is certainly a song about caring deeply for someone from afar, holding back, and then realizing that, in the future, they will meet that someone again... how they will handle their feelings and memories and what may possibly happen...
then again, while it sounds personal, maybe this song is about something they might have read or seen in a movie or TV show... after all, their song *Amour* comes from a 15 second clip of a scene in the movie _"Ratatouille"_ ... that scene has the camera looking through a hole in the wooden floor... there are two characters down there having a fight... maybe a lover's quarrel? i don't remember... anyway, they are arguing, they suddenly hug each other, and it is done; end clip...
there's also their song *Wildfire* which was inspired by _"The Hunger Games"_ movies... i think at least the 2nd one titled _"Catching Fire"_ ...
DPA/TW have drawn inspiration from a lot of places... IRL, books, movies, games, etc 😹
this song has brought tears to many eyes... while being a powerful drummer, Pau is also a fantastic and very emotive singer...
i don't go a day without hearing DPA/TW... they possess both, my heart and soul...
@@ReactionsThatRock They have toured the U,S as headliners this past year,
Their parents are amazing too. You can see one of their first show that it was in their high school. Their father was always around to help them.
That’s so nice!!! Love it!
You need to listen to Pau's drumming on Survive especially the TEDX show.
Ooh! I’ll check that out! Thanks!!!
Thanks for reacting to this. This performance of 23 will be a TW classic. Only Pau could pull this off. Chills and goosebumps every single time.⚡⚡⚡

Good reaction. You are a rock D.J. I hope you are promoting these QUEENS OF Rock!❤❤❤THE WARNING❤❤❤PAU💚🤍❤️
Thanks! I would if I could but I’m actually no longer working in broadcasting. Most of us have been replaced with computers and voice guys covering 10 stations while pretending to be local. 🥲
The Warning has personal values we have either forgotten or wish we could have.
Seems that way!
No words to react your comments bro. You totally rigth. The girls are phenomenal and out the box!!
Thanks!!! It really does seem that way!
Oh, one thing you forgot to mention. Not only is she singing and drumming, she is also putting on a performance while doing so.
Oh yeah!!! A bit of vamping thrown in for good measure!!!
Who does that? The Warning that's who. One of many many reasons they are so special.
Love it!!!
I always recommend the Allison Hagendorf interview as a great place to learn about the ladies. It's one of the best interviews I've ever watched, she really covers everything with them. It's definitely worth an hour of your time.

I did like the way the song ended. It had me hanging on for a bit wondering if something was coming. Maybe they’ll release “24” on their next album. 🤣😂🤣
I've heard a comment that they practice 5 hours a day. And they have always practiced in front of a mirrored wall, for the last 10+ years.
They are so insanely great …This band is soaring to the top …🤘
No lies detected!!!
Great words!

I played with my Brother in his band before, and my brother told me " bro you suck" LOL , maybe we have something in common LMAO
Sounds that way!!!
And you won’t (find a bad song). There’s 50? Songs in their catalog (& covers). I’ve NEVER skipped a The Warning song. & that includes their (not rock or metal) EP written by literal children. (The song ‘Escape the Mind’ composed with piano & strings… amazing)
Pau is generally in charge of “the feels” department but piss her off & you’ll get her feels right between the eyes. When you get to ‘Narcisista’ you’ll see what I mean😊
& yes, that is EXACTLY their parents.
That’s awesome!!! I love hearing that!!! 🤩🔥
I love hearing that! So many rock stars started off their careers by hating their parents and rebelling. Nice to see solid family roots!
That’s so awesome. Last time I did a Warning reaction a guy popped in saying he’s flown to Mexico from France 4 times! That’s some dedication!!!
I agree - The Warning does not use or rely on any gimmick or qualifier, just great rock and great performances. As you know, back in radio-only decades The Warning would be chart climbers when nobody would know where they are from or what they looked like - they would be jamming to the music.
Yep! Radio would have started them off with a 7pm “cage fight” gimmick where they’d just keep winning and get thrown in to regular rotation so fast!
The sisters are each other's best friends. They only fight while deciding how to do a song. I've seen a couple of videos with Pau baking a cake and them teaching each other their instruments. Except Pau learning the bass
That’s amazing! 🤩
The center of attention is always the song.
Always.
As it should be! 🤘😎🔥
if you haven't seen any of their vlogs you might be interested in seeing their "Mayday in the Making" set about creating the Mayday/Error album... it is like 6 parts... 20 minutes long... a lot of information and look at them and how they perform the magic they do...
I’ve not really caught any behind the scenes stuff yet! I’ll have to check it out! Thanks!!!
@@ReactionsThatRock There is plenty of behind the scenes and also sound checks.
That’s so awesome to hear!!! Nothing wrong with being level headed and having a solid support group!
The Warning!! 🔥 🤘
🤘😎🔥
All of this is 😍!
I love hearing of the strong family bond and how they do this together. Just amazing!!!
Great reaction (apart from the mic noise ☺). Please shift back a few seconds after every video pause to ensure you don't miss an important moment or transition.

During their second album they worked with Larry King (the musician of course, not the talk show host) a bit and he gave them lots of tips on singing. Also, someone else has probably mentioned this by now, but Pau sings while running to help build up her stamina.
Larry King is so underrated in the world of music and production. The guy is a genius!!!

I like that they are willing to to push back a bit against conventional songwriting methods (solos) to the benefit of the song. I noticed that their bridges get a little showy, but for everyone and not just a spotlight moment. I dig it!
@@ReactionsThatRock Showy bridges, showy fills, showy bass lines. Gotta spice things up. Gotta flash that talent for the people that notice little things like that.

They said: "No"
One of these guys asked them , "do you want to play in front of 12 people or 12000?...Pau said: "we prefer to play for 12 people to betray ourselves"...
I absolutely LOVE that attitude.

Performed as an encore, after already playing for 2 hours, as a treat for the club owner, because he was a Metallica fan.

Well I suppose that’s a solid point!!!
Also I’ll definitely be getting in to some longer videos as there’s just so much material to cover.

Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina…
In addition to Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic and United Kingdom.
🤘😁✌️
I couldn’t have said it better if I had twice the knowledge and thrice the time!!! 🤘😎🔥
It's easy to estimate that they've performed in front of a million people already.
Disapointing you did dust to dust . . Your first reaction to her singing would be the best . .
Yeah. I was actually listening to it for a reaction vid and for some delightful reason my set up only recorded the audio. Just a big black screen with music and my running mouth. 🤷♂️

Told ya right in the title. Many muscled through.
