Dude what inventory sale are they talking about, everything is still original price. LOL.
In fact, it's more expensive. They used to be 100 tokens, now they're 150 and 300.
They haven’t been 100 in ages. They’ve made it impossible to buy a single skin without spending more than $5. They know exactly what they’re doing.

While it's gonna be weird that the shop will eventually go away by the end of next year, I'm glad that it won't exist moving forward, there was nothing going for it after OWL closed and just an unnecessary currency that was hardly being used.
Besides, I bet 90% of people forget that it’s even a tab in the shop, just like me lmao.
And tons of people never got their coins correctly. I never received mine despite being connected and watching ... I actively watched those hours because I was entertained and didn't get anything lol.

Why would anyone be glad about this? All they had to do was rebrand to Champions and carry it on with making arguably the best skins in the game that you could get for free.
All this means is instead of a unique skin like Chained King been able to got by watching Ow they will just make future ones expensive shop bundles.

As someone who's never watched OWL, I thought I might buy some tokens to nab some cool skins but the pricing is ridiculous. The max tokens you can buy is 900 for £41.99 which is absolutely insane. For reference, that's only 3 skins. Counting in the shop, there's 3 bundles of 5 skins for 1200 and 8 other skins for 300, meaning if you wanted to get all of them you'd be paying around £280 for all of them... That's insane
You used to get them for free from watching it at a pretty good pace and everything cost half as much. No one actually bought except for special event skins and that would be like 200 credits
@@willwunsche6940 I remember a friend watching a few hours a day for a few days and got a couple of skins, though this was a few years ago. It's kinda crazy that it's 5 tokens for an hour of watch time, that seems far too long for so little. You'd need to watch 60 hours of OWL to get a skin now

You can buy the skins with the gold premium currency but they are really misleading with the pricing making it seem that you can only buy the skins with owl tokens despite being able to buy the skins with the gold currency lol. But yes still mega expensive

calling this is a sale is hilarious considering all costs for skins are artificially made and priced 2-3x higher than they probably should cost. $15-$60 for skins when they should cost $5-$10 at MOST
And everything costs more after they went to Overwatch 2. They raised the price of the Overwatch League skins by like 50%

What kind of sale is this? The 240 (individual price) bundle skins used to cost 200, and the standard 150 token skins used to cost 100!
If they were a reasonable price then I might buy one or two, but I guess they make more money by selling to the 1% of the whales rather than the 50% of players that would actually consider buying them at a fair price.
Overwatch right now, could give you 1 coin for every game you play from start to end (meaning you dont leave with 5sec left). Ive played 5000+ games. But if you had 5000 coins you still could only buy 2-3 things in the shop.... AND THATS OVER YEARS. not allowing people to get some coins just by playing is stupid

Man, i used to love watching Philly Fusion play! The idea of regionalized teams made for such a fun esports experience that, though overwatch will never actualize, i hope another game can capture. I just wish me buying some of these skins would get the money to the likes of Carpe, Alarm (RIP), eqo, poko, sado and the rest of the rosters. I think overwatch 2 is struggling so much in part that at every turn they betrayed trust and left the community out to dry, and the Pro's were often the brunt of the neglect. Glad they are doing this though.

Imagine the difficulty, pure talent and skill that went into making those skins be all the same but have different colors. They probably had to press 3, or even 4 mouse clicks. The craftsmanship. And you just cant find colors like that.
them all being recolors is kind of the point, it's so spectators watching the esports can have better readability, they aren't supposed to be high quality fancy skins

@@Seducier Ngl I don't think anybody but super fans use those skins. I see OWL skins as the 300 ones, those are actually so good and even hold up pretty well to this day. I got the DVA and Mercy one for free in OW1.
Don’t you just love how Blizzard can create artificial supply and demand? There is literally no such thing as a shortage when they can just, at any time, put the skins back in the shop. It’s not like a factory is manufacturing skins. It’s just pixels.

The legacy Overwatch League skins were somehow nicer than the current skins. Especially the Reinhardt skins! You get so much colour and the helmet still on!
That Reaper skin reminds me a lot more of Fire force demons than Hanami from jjk, the whole design is straight from Fire force, specially those horns coming from his eyes

Small tip, you can buy the skins with coins for the normal price of 1900, the option shows when you click "buy" on a skin, you can also buy skins individually in the OWL section
that's only for the featured skins though. The normal team OWL skins are tokens only

I'm surprised they even still have the shop there. Like when was the last time they even did anything remotely related to OWL.
What they could of done instead is:
Remove the OWL shop and the OWL coins
Convert those into gold coins and move the skins into the usual shop
Combine the color variants into one skin and add the "mythic" skin UI to it, so basically you could select Owl skin for example Reinhardt then select a variant of it to use/buy
Do the same to all recolours of other skins to reduce the clutter

@@jyhmz They raised the prices by 50% when we went to Overwatch 2. 100→150 for standard owl skins and 200→300 for special owl skins. And we used to get tokens for free in Ow1

The legendary skins are sold for 300 tokens, this is much more than 1500 owc (all other ow1 legendaries)

Boston Uprising Pharah is infinitely hilarious to me because it's basically the same colors as her default skin.
Personally, I lean towards the Toronto Defiant colors
But I think that the Hanzou(I think that's how you spell jt) looks awful

If Blizzard was really smart they'd make the skins EXACTLY like in game. Even your powers and stuff have your team colors just like in OWL. I saw so many calls for that in comments when these came out I think Blizzard really left money on the table.

@darren8608 It would be the same color. The only skins that change your fx right now are mythic skins and they aren't visible to the enemy for good reason.

the ability colors change because of the team color in the match. you can easily change what color your team is and what color the enemy team is in the settings

I'm new to OW2, so never had a chance to get the tokens the normal way. I also live in the UK and for some reason they are literally a $1 more expensive per 100 tokens ($6.94 converted at the time of writing this). I literally just want the doomfist skin but MAYBE would have been tempted to get the 5 skin bundle that one is in if the price of 1200 tokens for the bundle wasn't $76!
Ridiculous pricing and it's put me off buying any more OW stuff really, I don't mind buying cosmetics and supporting the game if I feel like they're a fairish price but this is just silly.

highly recommend the vegas or dynastie prideful skins for rein. genuinely some of the best skins in the game and go really well with the mythic weapon
As someone who had almost 6000 tokens, it was nice to get some of the ones I missed(mostly team variants of the special skins). What my remaining 3k tokens will become I'll just wait and see(probably white credits)

The bundle prices are ok. The team skins and token packages are are the same price, possibly more for tokens.
I love the old OWL skins, they remind me of when the game meant something. May have to pickup a few old valiant and old mayhem... we'll see.
This plus the K-pop bundle reappearing in the shop has a liquidation, "everything must go" feel to it. It's like theyve decided they're cooked and are gonna try and squeeze every penny out of us before going on full autopilot.
