Actually, don't believe what the western mainstream media tells you.
Intellectual property is actually very important in China today.
I read an article last year that nowadays international companies often take their intellectual property disputes to courts in China to pursue EVEN IF the dispute happens somewhere else and has nothing to do with China!!
That is, a non- Chinese company having a dispute with another non- Chinese company outside of China often prefer to go to a Chinese court to sue the other party!!
This is what the western mainstream media never talks about.

The Chinese learned fast speaking english. I worked in China since the early 90’s now retired witnessed the dramatic changes in the landscape and the people. If they can’t speak or write well. It wasn’t their fault. It’s the environment that they don’t often use. When I dealt with them in business transactions. I knew they used translation softwares which sometimes lost in translation. Anyway, don’t worry about the Chinese learning English. They progressed leaps and bounds. 🤪
As for US. I have one shocking experience many years ago when I went to the police station to lodge a report for the lost of my passport and wallet at the LAX Terminal. The police woman could speak English but couldn’t write well. In the end , I have to write the report for her. 😩
