Everyone knows that the Jet Boss fight is a race. It's very clearly written in the EULA

Just one more left. The most confusing one that only makes sense if you're really into your NieR lore. Which is to say NieR Automata, NieR Replicant, and Drakengard 1 and 3. In short: Do not worry about it. Don't question it and just strap in for the wild ride. If you're into the lore, you don't know what's happening either but you just might crap your pants at the final boss.
Had FC friends freaking out during the 3rd raid. I was like: so pretty
I heard the bells that play at the beginning of the song for the final boss and I immediately thought to myself “I. Hear. A. Sound.”
Very pretty raid, but terrifying if you’re a DrakeNier lore junkie ;~;
@@shadyblooms For real. I saw the area and went "ohno". Then I heard the bell and went "Oh no!". Then I saw her and just went "OH NO!!!". I loved seeing the Last Song mechanic though, that was such a great homage.
Just to summarize the entire franchise:

Honestly playing through the entirety of Automata and learning why they’re No. P(uppet) and why the Machine Lifeforms made a copy of it all makes so much sense with the lore.
Pray elaborate >.< Cuz' ... this raid made me so mad... It made no sense >.

YoRHa androids are created with Machine Lifeform cores, making them fundamentally the same as their enemies. They were also designed to be a death cult who would die at a moment of victory via a back door that allows the Machine Lifeforms to infect them and destroy them from within.
They are, in essence, Puppets. Model P are made as a mockery of this truth.
9S even had to fight a bunch of 2B copies in the last area of the game as a boss fight. Designed to torment him.

Personally I figured that the Puppet's Bunker was a jab at YoRHa being "puppets". They unquestioningly follow orders and are told to kill, literally blindfolding themselves. Yes yes, in lore it's a combat visor, but the metaphor is pretty heavy-handed. That's why those who "cut their strings" like A2 have no blindfolds, and why they take them off during moments of revelation. The Bunker is literally the YoRHa orbital bunker. I do like the idea of 2P being P for Puppet though.
@@markup6394 So there is a few things in this raid. First: The Bunker itself. It is the YoRHa orbital bunker, which gets taken over by the Machine network and subsequently destroyed during NieR Automata. The White Androids are tools of the Machine Network. Once you have descended down the bunker and the environment shifts, you're in a different place that wasn't supposed to be connected to the Bunker: The Alien mothership. The Aliens are the creators of the Machines. The Aliens themselves were killed by their creations, as the Machines wanted to free themselves of their given purpose.
And this leads to them evolving rapidly and developing a strange persona: A girl in red, who seeks to create a Seed of Destruction. The final boss, the Compound, seems to be somewhat similar to the Seed of Destruction, and indeed they seem to have one after this questline. But how/why is unclear.
If this makes no sense, it's probably because I tried to condense Automata lore to one paragraph and then tied it back to Drakengard lore in 3 sentences. This franchise is a rabbithole.

You can use Interject during the mob fight before you get exploded into the Bunker to negate the Paralysis attack before it goes off.
The third boss's Pod attacks uses the same number indicators from the Pod attachments you get in Automata.
Compound 2P's battle theme is a Nier-ified remix of Torn From The Heavens, a recurring theme used for boss FATEs, the ARR Relic quests, and a part of Castrum Meridianum that didn't survive the 6.1 changes. It also gets an orchestral reprisal in one of the Ultimate raids.

Fun fact: This raid proves that these people are in fact from _Earth,_ not just somewhere in general, because they actually use English letters, not Eorzean ones.
Also, time for my favorite raid joke in the game. The Compound appears, and every time I do this raid, I say, "Oh look, it's Ozma, if Ozma were more of a 'people' person."
The disgusted responses from the other raiders fuel me.

Man, considering how much Kyle loves to dig into magic systems and worldbuilding and the like, someone needs to convince him to play the Nier games (and maybe Drakengard just with a disclaimer of how Yoko Taro had to fight Square for ever bit of money spent on Drakengard and... it shows )
Hmmm I cannot in good faith recommend anyone play Drakengard 1, it plays like ass, there no camera controls! You have to do a full character turn to swing your camera. Thankfully I knows there full playthroughs of all of them on LPAchive with all the endings if anyone wants to go down the Drakenier hole.
Puppets Bunker is just so exhausting. I do like it but I feel like I've just run a marathon every time I finish it. I like Copied Factory more. I was so sad I couldn't get in on Copied Factory, I've been watching since before you guys streamed (just before actually) and that was the one raid I wanted to get in on... but I was swamped at work and didn't have a chance to do it.
What's great about Garrett's anti-troll, they can't damage his till theirs is dead 😂

Its funny to see that, even after not playing for around 1.5 years, I still remember every single mechanic of the first Nier raid, because I love it so much, and played it so often, but I dont remember a single thing about the 2nd one, because I only played it like twice xD
