For me, what sets you apart from the rest is that you are skillfully spontaneous. Though you follow a certain flow of the interview with your structured questions to get the important details for your subscribers/viewers benefit yet you're keen on acknowledging the details of each home, able to express thoughts into words spontaneously especially the way you wrap things up at the end of each video. Just genuine, honest thoughts expressed spontaneously, not read or rehearsed. And that's one key to having an edge on the craft that you do.

Me too! My throat got a bit tight at that part. My husband and I have made some similar decisions in the last few years. I’m grateful we had the privilege to get that perspective and the ability to make some changes, we’re all much closer as a family (2 teenagers as well) and feel more authentic in ourselves. It has changed some of our ‘friendship’ groups in a very good way too.
Yea I was also curious about the little clamping platform as well as what will become of the other tiny once both girls are off ? I’d love to come visit?

This is the perfect family living. To give your teenagers a home to start is such a loving way to allow them to grow and make mistakes but yet have your parents there to help pick up the pieces is just absolutely incredible. What a step in the right direction to teach the younger ones to be self sufficient is just awesome. And a wonderful way to let them move out of the family home and onto their own but having them just a few steps away is the perfect way to let them move out but not far away. Awesome idea
Wow. This has ideas that totally blew my mind. I love how he brought in the natural light and the pressed tiles on the outside and the ceiling. Things that I would never thought could be done in a tiny house using the pipe cut to shade the sun just brilliant! These tiny homes definitely hit the top of my favorites! Just WOW!
Family tiny homes are always my favourite videos, because we have been carrying the idea of going tiny with our small family for such a long time. I love to see how this family has built a beautiful home for themselves, that meet the needs of teenagers and young adults. It gives me hope, that we will one day be able to achieve our goal too! Without question, for me, the most unique homes to date. The richness of the materials and the eclectic design and features was really beautiful. The architectural design was really impressive, but so was their taste for design. Pretty interesting couple and family.

The design of these tiny homes is unbelievable and the decor is so inviting. Absolutely my favorite so far (and I've seen a lot of tiny homes!). My husband and I have four adult children, and I would love to have set up like this with a third tiny home. They have special needs and the boys will need to stay with us. I love the idea of them having their own privacy and independence with the security and comfort of being so close. They are such a wonderful and talented family!
Very interesting design ideas in these fascinating homes. The best feature effect was definitely the polycarbonate wall - just WOW. The light this brought to the entire home was amazing giving the experience of always aligning to the daylight - as though you're actually outside. Truely epic. Love to find out more about these amazing walls & the insulating qualities. This wall concept really does make small Tinys so much more appealing to live in.
Agreed! You get the light, maintain some privacy, and probably reduce the overall weight of the structure (which if you really want to be mobile, probably helps there too).
This was absolutely phenomenal!😍❤️ The design of each was fantastic and the use of materials outstanding! The wall of light was absolutely fantastic, then the windows with the filtered light 😍 The pressed metal which is rarely seen in the UK, that looks absolutely gorgeous! These homes are just brilliant! So many creative design elements and wonderful uses of materials - the polycarbonate, the denim, the seaweed (I'm assuming that's what those lampshades were!), the PVC pipe rounds. Human ingenuity is boundless! I do wish you had shown inside the entryway where the fridge appeared to be, and that very cool rooftop patio! Very excited to have seen these amazing houses, and how this family is living together.

Definitely the architect touch! I like how he combined the different materials, the industrial feel with warm and romantic details that make the house very cozy. The shower is interesting and essential, the copper taps are beautiful. All of the exposed pipes remind me of my loft in Tribeca, NYC where they were all horizontal near the floor and some even vertical. Same mix between industrial and lots of wood. Their surrounding property is immense, I don't know how far they are from a town but for me it would be a bit isolated. Definitely a good choice of living, we should all learn and have the courage to make it, it's good for our health and soul.

So glad you have visited my part of the world! There are some amazing examples of wild, weird, diy and tiny homes tucked away between the dreadful swathes of soulless ‘Mc-estates’ across the Surfcoast. So inspiring to take a peek inside this family’s brilliant set up.
Think I would turn one of them around so the doors face each other, then create a covered walkway, somehow, for those rainy days. Perhaps even top it with additional solar panels.
I love the creativity, the DIY, the experimentation, the materials, the design, the high quality. This must have been so much fun and so satisfying to do. Great result.

Polycarbonate is good insulation which Japanese often set out. The house is most favourite ever for me. So artistic, modern and traditional, nature, functional, comfy cozy house. I would be so happy to wake up every morning!

Like many, I spend far too much time scouting tiny home videos and this one has been time well spent. There are architects… and there are architect designers and this is clearly a creation of the latter; an artful collaboration that takes form and function to a higher level. The thing that I suspect many find so enchanting about these homes is they possess a sort of contemporary, avant garde, gypsy-like feel that is conveyed by an eclectic collection of shapes, spaces, materials, textures and colors they have chosen and brilliantly assembled into a cohesive habitable and cozy home. Authentic living - truly a higher ideal. Thanks, Bryce.
Wow...utility has its own beauty, love getting value and practical function at same time... elegant design with basic commercial materials...he understands concept of maintenance, "self managing", "passive benefit" design... REALLY well! i.e. built in shade windows, creating a thermal layer, 'greenhouse" walls on the south side, open copper plumbing, metal countertops, old style metal wallpaper material...(Covid proof) wow! brilliant, original... would love more feedback on effectiveness /efficiency of each design implementation, that double pane window alone, or those part wall/part windows creating a greenhouse effect... balancing cost, weight, to spend extra on copper plumbing, ss countertops, solar, etc... great presentation Bryce
Theres a lot of creativity, I really amazed with the tiny houses. Especially loveeeeeeees the gradient jeans wall in the parent house. The shower is also very cool, with a doom for skylight.

Your "Short" brought me here. Loved so many of these ideas they have in their two tiny homes. Totally going to steal that demin idea! All the use of textures in the space was very attractive.
What I love about this architects design is the innovations he brought like the window/shade ideas to bring more light in. One thing I would add though that I saw you feature is another home is a deck for dining as it did look like they had the big open window from the kitchen- are bugs not an issue in NZ? We’d be swarmed here is .25 seconds.

I say this about every house, but this one is my favorite! Such an Innovation from a actual architect! I would point out the stand out feature that I love, but there are too many for me to choose . It is truly a masterful off grid home.

Like many, I spend far too much time scouting tiny home videos and this one has been time well spent. There are architects… and there are architect designers and this is clearly a creation of the latter; an artful collaboration that takes form and function to a higher level. The thing that I suspect many find so enchanting about these homes is they possess a sort of contemporary, avant garde, gypsy-like feel that is conveyed by an eclectic collection of shapes, spaces, materials, textures and colors they have chosen and brilliantly assembled into a cohesive habitable and cozy home. Wow...utility has its own beauty, love getting value and practical function at same time... elegant design with basic commercial materials...he understands concept of maintenance, "self managing", "passive benefit" design... REALLY well! i.e. built in shade windows, creating a thermal layer, 'greenhouse" walls on the south side, open copper plumbing, metal countertops, old style metal wallpaper material...(Covid proof) wow! brilliant, original... would love more feedback on effectiveness /efficiency of each design implementation, that double pane window alone, or those part wall/part windows creating a greenhouse effect... balancing cost, weight, to spend extra on copper plumbing, ss countertops, solar, etc... great presentation Bryce
Theres a lot of creativity, I really amazed with the tiny houses. Especially loveeeeeeees the gradient jeans wall in the parent house. The shower is also very cool, with a doom for skylight.

Loved so many of these ideas they have in their two tiny homes. Totally going to steal that demin idea! All the use of textures in the space was very attractive.
What I love about this architects design is the innovations he brought like the window/shade ideas to bring more light in.
One thing I would add though that I saw you feature is another home is a deck for dining as it did look like they had the big open window from the kitchen- are bugs not an issue in NZ? We’d be swarmed here is .25 seconds.
