  • We all know India is the mecha for sporty little hatchbacks which don't necessarily have the nicest of engines. But, when Volkswagen came out with the now legendary Polo GT TSI, India started to get a taste of what hot hatches might be in the west. But now, VW Polo GT TSI is 12 years old and Volkswagen has now discontinued it, but fear not, as Korean automaker, Hyundai has come out swinging with their sporty hatchback, the i20 N-Line! Which sports hatch is now king? Watch the whole video to find out!

    For that i20 14 lac tag I would buy an polo and get an stage 1 mapping done with some catback exhaust for less than that

    I really wish they'd bring the full 204HP 120N to India. It wouldn't do well in the Indian market, but after 6 years of driving the Abarth, one can only dream.

      I really wish Fiat bring the original Punto Abarth in INDIA but that's a gone case now as well, I'm glad you have kept Abarth for the last 6 years. Proud owner of Punto Urban Cross and an Evo here as well brother. Soon going to get the fastest hatch in India i.e Abarth . But the thing is, no one sells it in North India. Delhi NCR

      Punto Abarth in foreign was specifically 1.6 multijet 2 was beast 118 bhp but 320 Nm torque that is way better torque than polo 1.5 tdi 250 nm
      Or new firefly petrol engine or multiair engine is amazing to drive

    Polo might not have all the fancy features what n-line offers but who needs a car with features and superlight steering wheel which is too sensitive for high speeds when you can have a lot more fun to drive car with better build quality and performance 🥵….. polo is just the king

    VW polo had a final edition HILINE model that is offered with a 1.0 tsi engine with the manual gearbox.. that would be my ideal pick if I were to go for the final polo

For last 12 years u were selling same products in the name of timeless design?if so then why stopped the production? Take any company they have changed the whole design with engine atleast 3-4 times.
      Vw skoda are know for build quality but sorry to say they fail to convince us in terms of long term reliability.

      Also yes it's quite dated but it does what it does quite well an amazing all rounder in driving
      a car is meant to drive and polo is still the best drivers car in the segment
      So it has its own fans
      Plus the design ages slowly
      It's outdated if you want a more advanced car
      But for safety apart from altroz engine and handling it's the best

    i20 offers much features than any other Indian hatch backs available today. Already 20,000+ bookings for i20 within 20 days after its launch.
    Both i20 🔥and Polo 🔥have seperate fan base and both of them are handsome.

    Absolutely agree with that body roll in the polo. I have the Highline TSI manual and the way the car hops in the ghats really has me considering a different suspension setup.

      @@derekobs9688 In straight line stability it's probably not "compromised" if you ask me. The car feels stable at high speeds in the highway in a straight line. No vibration from the steering wheel even when the speedo shows 190. However take a corner at high speeds and the instability will show up, even small bumps will show up unsettling the car. This is unlike the Chevrolet Cruze we have (which at 190+ will start to show vibrations) but is better planted at corners (less body roll).
      I'm no expert at analysing the suspension setups but it feels like the body roll is due to the increased ride height and the straight line stability is because of the relatively stiffer springs used by VW
      But the shock absorbers seem to have been softened up a bit too much which leads to a kind of rubbery ride at higher speeds. There is excessive forward movement during braking too. This is attributed by many to be because of the Indian made Gabriel shocks.

      Hey man! We totally understand that but unfortunately, it is not possible. It is very risky to do drag races and what not on public roads. In order to do stuff like this, we need a safe and controlled environment which unfortunately we don't have access to as of yet.

      Unfortunately, Hyundai India doesn't give us cars nor do we think they have a N-Line manual in their media fleet.
      No showrooms around us have a N-Line manual demo car, nor do we know anyone. If you know anyone, let us know!

      For a fast car, dynamics is the priority not being heavy.

    venue turbo petrol manual can do 0 to 100 in around 10.5 secs. the i20 imt turbo does it in 10.8 seconds. the main reason behind this is not tuning difference but the IMT. that's why i20 being a light car can't do 0 to 100 under 10 seconds and most people ignorantly tells that the Hyundai turbo gdi is a shit. if Hyundai offers a manual gearbox this car can easily do 0 to 100 in 9.3 to 9.5 seconds. Hyundai just needs to provide a manual gearbox for apples to apples comparision with polo Mt. otherwise some stupids will keep on trolling them

      nothing tune away. it's acceleration is affected by a reliability tuned dct and an imt which u can't launch hard. this car just lacks a 6 speed manual.😊

    Put some extra bucks on performance upgrades in polo and the n line will not even be close …… polo is way more into tuning in every aspect and n line is limited in that scenario…… 🤟

      Bro haven't u seen n line badged Hyundai's overseas. They are defeating everyone out there. Damn these koreans are improved a lot they haven't launched any real Hyundai's here. I agree polo has more tuning capacity but it's just gonna be a endless money pit, only japanese cars could handle those mods without breaking down. No hate towards polo and i20 but 1.0 engine not really meant for real driving.

      Hope vw launches a facelift for polo but they discontinued it.
