Courtny, I just finished Can't Spell Treason Without Tea last night. It's so cute with romance, found family, small town charm but also action and adventure. Hope you love it! I'm excited to pick up book #2 soon.
I'm also in a slump, and I think it's the current climate. I did just listen the audiobook - The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times (Jane Goodall) and it helped my mood. Hopefully your slump gets better.
In a slump, after just finishing a gothic horror. So now, I'm rereading "A Cup of Holiday Fear" by Ellie Alexander. Gonna keep it light and also watch a lot of holiday romcoms.
Hey Courtny! Well I read only fall and Halloween cozies for October. I decided to read some books not series, not themed just books that sounds fun. The one I am reading now is hitting that spot. Who could resist a title of Looking For Salvation at the Diary Queen! First of Diary Queen and you know it will be a fun read. It is by Susan Gregg Gilmore and I am loving it a lot. 😊
My reading slows down every year in the last quarter. I take the time to slow down and enjoy the holidays and the few books I'm reading. I'll probably be watching a few Hallmark movies and Christmas movies I own. My favorite way to get out of a slump is to listen a book or series that I love. It's like getting together with good friends. Also, I listened to the Paddington Bear series this year and it was balm for my soul and was just the comfort I needed. I'm usually not early with Christmas but I listened to Christmas music on the radio in the car today and it made me very happy.
I love that! I’ve never read Paddington Bear but maybe I should? I’ve been playing Christmas music at work today and I’m in love with my Christmas bedding!
I LOVE the Wells and Wong middle grade series. Unfortunately though the Christmas one is not 2nd think it's 4th and they are better read in order. I would love to see a video on your recommendations for middle grade books. They are always great to read especially when I'm in a slump 😊
When it’s dark… we have Courtny💕 … stars. ✨. What a balm you are !! And I do have a book rec for ya. Christmas Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini. You’ll love it. Welcome to the Elm Creek books. You’re welcome 😊
I was working on Nonfiction November when I got sidetracked by the Over Where cozy fantasy series, which begins with The Library of the Sapphire Wind. Three of the characters are women who are "of a certain age" and I think you would enjoy them.
