I LOVE the safety tips!! If it doesn’t stop it doesn’t go!! Manual, 2 door! All good!! These two are great together. I’m looking forward to the interior redo!
C4s are the ish!!!! Absolutely love them!!! The later 92-96 are legit sports cars!!! Dude the optispark thing is really getting super old!!! The optispark is a very reliable part!!! And usually only go out because of a bad waterpump!!! So its pretty obvious what that means!!! It means the optispark is MORE reliable than the waterpump!!! And waterpumps don't go out very often!!! But the aftermarket is full of garbage units!!! In 2024 only one good aftermarket optispark exist!! Petris enterprise!! Buy anything else and you'll be doing the job again in the very near future!!! STAY AWAY FROM GARBAGE AFTERMARKET UNITS AND YOU'LL BE JUST FINE!!!
I laugh when someone says negative things about the C4 Corvette, comparing it to today’s cars isn’t really a fair comparison. An 89 Corvette is 35 years old but I wouldn't try to compare it to a 1954 which is 35 years older. Likewise, I wouldn't compare a 1954 to a 1919 which is also 35 years older. Point is, a lot changes in 35 years, thus people aren't making realistic comparisons. They definitely are not appreciating the C4 Corvette for the cutting edge technology developed for it which definitely saved the Corvette & lead the way to today's Corvettes. The C4 Corvette with the Tune Port Injection was so dominant over the competition (Porsche, BMW, Lotus, etc) that it was kicked out of showroom stock road racing in the SCCA because of the manufacturers complaining & threatening to pull out of racing. This lead to the “Corvette Challenge” road racing series in 1988 & 89, and only C4 Corvettes raced in it. If one looks at the C4 history, ground breaking technology & accomplishments it real is an amazing story. Personally, I still find the tune port injection intake system to be one of the coolest looking engines & ranks up next to the look of a 1932 Ford Hot Rod with a Flathead & a 3-2 barrel carb intake. The TPI’s instant torque with the 6 speed manual transmission is a true gem in a world void of manual transmissions & full of nanny controls.
I don’t work on many cars these days but you two break it down so even I think I might pick up an old beater and turn some wrenches. Fun stuff very cool episode!
I don’t fear it, I love it. It’s “my” generation’s Vette whether or not we want to admit it. I’m just trying to decide if I want a special edition or just get a base and mod it.
Right off the bat, I love the father/daughter connection. Great idea to balance the joy and the safety here. I'm not a car guy at all, so just hearing the Lincoln test is helpful. haha. I've owned cars for almost 30 years, and I didn't know that. They also do a great job of leading into the next item by gearing up for the interior. This is fun!
Thank you so much for writing that. this show is really just like us in the garage. Dad teaching me all the time (if I want it or not) and me cracking jokes at him
I really liked the tips to parents. Get the kid a manual and they can't text and drive. I never even thought of that. Also, good tip on getting the submersible hose. Great information and great interaction between the two.
Not a fan of the optispark, but I’m always a fan when you can put another classic back on the road! Loved this first EP! Looking forward to seeing more. Keep it up Riley & Dane 🤙🤙🤙
Great video! One small thing is that isn't a regulator directly above the fuel pump. It's a pulsator, and they can leak internally. When replacing the pump, leave out the pulsator as it isn't necessary and replace it with a piece of submersible fuel hose.
I got a strong soft spot for the C4. However, when I went to look at one, there was a beautiful C5 on the lot. I only had room in my budget for 1 classic Corvette & the C5 was my DREAM car! I still would love to own a C4 one day.
@@rileysrebuilds435 I plan on owning more than one but gotta be financially responsible at this time. I'll probably own another one before 2030 at this rate.
This one is ruffffffff! You can tell just by looking at all the metal in the engine compartment! 1st time watching the channel. The father daughter thing is fun to watch. Very nice! But whenever you working around the fuel area... why not vacuum all around it first?
Those Hemmings "classic car price guide" values are pretty inflated as I see lots of cars in the 5k range that are halfway decent....the average asking price of 21k...lol.
The C4 is one of my favorite generations of the Corvette... specifically the refreshed 1991 - 1996 body style.
It was really nicer than I thought. this one was very dry cracked, but if I found a garaged one, it would be worth picking up
It is great to have a father daughter team working in cars together. Awesome show!!!
Great Job, maybe vacuum that debris around the fuel opening though...
I LOVE the safety tips!! If it doesn’t stop it doesn’t go!! Manual, 2 door! All good!!

🥰 THank you Ms. Heidi... The next one is really easy too.
Enjoyed the father/daughter team! Congratulations!

OMGoodness, that is exactly what we were hoping to make with the videos. That was so cool of you to write that.

awesome, glad you got something from it. it idea is to make working on cars not so scary
Love the father/daughter combo. You really play well off each other and the tips are great.
Thank you uncle Garth. it was a lot of fun
C4 is great for DIY daily driver types. Easy to work on, reliable, cheap plentiful parts, still good looking and sporty performance.
I agree. Super fun car
Love it! Love to see teens learning cars!
🥰 Thank you Ms. Monica
Great tips (manual, 2 door, rubber, etc) right out of the gate! Riley and Dane play great off of each other! Looking forward to the next episode!
Thank you so much for writing that. this show is really just like us in the garage. Dad teaching me all the time (if I want it or not) and me cracking jokes at him
I'm not a fan of Corvettes, but it's a neat little car!
Awesome tips for those of us with kids heading to the driving age
manual, is really good. plus they can drive any car in an emergency.
Great episode, definitely coming back for more. Hemmings needs to keep this show for more seasons.
🤞
Great episode, I’ll be watching it again with my son. Great job Riley and Dane! Keep these coming.
awesome, we are hoping to inspire more young people to jump into the hobby.
Awesome job Dane and Riley! You guys were great, very relaxed but still kept things fun!
Thank you so much. we had a lot of fun doing it.
I really liked the tips to parents. Get the kid a manual and they can't text and drive. I never even thought of that. Also, good tip on getting the submersible hose. Great information and great interaction between the two.
Yea that submersible hose is a must. the ethanol fuel eats the regular rubber hose.
great job...
Very cool Dad/Daughter dynamic!
Thank you so much for that. we have alot of fun together.
Great seeing Riley expand her career!!
Thank you....
Nice job! I am shopping for a C4 now!
awesome. find one and keep it on the road
The dad looks like Clay Walker a country singer. Love the C4 content hope to see a lot more.
My dad will like to hear that. :)

I know my dad was nicer about the Opti Spark than most... lol. what a dumb place to put a disti! right under a water pump...
Excellent video, learned a bit, just fun watching you and your Dad work together 🙂
THANK YOU so much 🥰 i hope you liked it and will watch the next episodes.
Great show! Nice dad and daughter team!
Thank you

Very nice you two share some quality time together with this project, I wonder what's Riley daily drive? 🤔
95 Jeep YJ Jurassic Park Jeep
@@rileysrebuilds435 Jeeps are no joke! You seem like the kind of person who can handle anything the road throws your way! 😉👍
Better yet find a 90-95 ZR1, that engine was rare and phenomenal!
love too, Idea was under $5000

The c4s are apparently really easy compared to the later models

Super fun!, that was a great time...
Love the dad/daughter combo. Seems like a solid show
We hope to make more kids want to work on cars with their dads and moms
WHY NOT... clean the garbage and dirt off before removing the fuel pump? Just might prevent an issue later.
Love it, Dane & Riley!! Great episode!

Not fooling around in a 2 seater either
For a second you must of forgot being a horny young guy. A C4 Vette is perfect for fooling around on that spacious hood.
