I hate two part videos. But I love that it's coming from this channel. Thank you for making it multiple videos. I really enjoy seeing these restoration details. With multiple videos nothing is rushed over. I'm excited for the next one! Thank you!
I don't know, how it is in Estonia, but in Germany, where I live, there are many professions, where you have to be a "Meister", to train apprentices (Lehrlinge/Auszubildende). Carpenter is one of these professions. You have to graduate from a ca. 3 years apprenticeship, then you have to work some years as a professional (Geselle/Facharbeiter) and then you can study at a special school to get your masters degree (Meisterbrief). I guess the rules are not that different in Estonia.
Oh, Ahti, that is some serious damage you are working with. I'm glad you made it into two episodes so you can take your time and do your incredible magic. Looking forward to the completed piece!
Well, an amateur like me knew that these bubbles could be ironed out, but didn't add water and ended up ripping the veneer off and applying new. The day before yesterday. Why didn't I see this video two days ago? But here I am watching this video, constantly saying "ahaa!" out loud and smiling like a fool. Now I know where and how I messed up my sideboard! But this is how we learn, I suppose. Some from their own mistakes, some from others' mistakes, some from professionals. I am even considering applying to become Ahti's apprentice.😂
I hit the "like" button automatically when I see a new video from you, before even watching it. And this one: a cliffhanger episode to keep all of us in suspense! You already worked your magic with this sad, neglected, very damaged piece. Can't wait to see the final result.
Every time I watch your videos, it brings back wonderful memories of my grandfather who was a master furniture maker in the 1930’s. I used to watch him as a child in 1960’s as he built custom-ordered furniture. Your workmanship reminds me so much of him and how fascinating I found the process to be. I can still remember the strong smell of the varnish and the beautiful results. I appreciate your methods and attention to detail.
When I see a Notification from Ahti I have to stop and watch the video immediately. I have been watching his channel for years now and I love his furniture restorations. He is a Master Craftman. I will watch his videos no matter how many parts they come in. Ahti is a professional to be sure 😀😊😂❤❤🎉
I learn so much every time I watch your videos. I hope a master of your caliber has in-house apprentices willing to put in the time and effort to learn this craft.
You take pieces that would be discarded and make them beautiful again! You are an artist! Bravo! I know I will be astounded every time I click on your channel. Can’t wait to see your next video!
Make my day! Thank you so much Ahti, always a delight to see one of your videos. What a beautiful piece! Love the waterfall edges and burl veneer, so pretty. Looking forward to seeing your magic complete the piece Thank you so much for posting!
What a potential beauty. Thank you for using all the subtitles telling us each product you use and of course, your personal comments. Looking forward to the next episode.
Ahti, that work is awesome. Please don't keep us hanging too long. I want to see the final results. What beautiful veneering you did, but even more, the structural repairs that no one will see. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous cabinet and your wonderful work. ❤
You my friend are a truly amazing woodworking Genius wow I am overwhelmed by the wonderous work that you do thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing family !!!God Bless you ❤!!!
It’s always a good day when one of your videos arrives in my feed. Art Deco is my favourite period and I can’t wait to see how this is brought back to life.
I always look for your videos. So happy that this is going to be 2 episodes because we get to see another one soon. Love to see how amazing your projects always turn out. Until next time bye from Tennessee, USA.
The reason you make the effort to record, post, and share your art is beyond me, it takes so much effort, but is much appreciated and looked forward to. Watching you, a master of your chosen form engrosses me. I know I will never give the honor and skill to pieces of wood and craft as you are able to do, but I am enthralled by watching you do so. Thank you for this.
I was wondering how you were going to re-veneer those curved pieces Ahti and now I know how it’s done by a master. This really is an epic project and I am so excited about part 2 coming along.
Oh! Wow! I love watching you work! This one was in such bad shape. I can already see that you are going to make it look like new. It cast a lot in time, energy and money, but you make it seem well worth it. Great work! Love your videos! 😍
Це таке чудо - дивитись на роботу Майстра з золотими руками!❤ Я жінка, але відпочиваю душею, дивлячись на те, як ви творите диво !🥰 Чекаю з нетерпінням продовження!🤩
When I win the lottery I won't say anything, but there will be signs, like a piece of furniture with a walnut root veneer on the top.🤣🤣🤣 wonderful job, I cannot wait to see it finished!
The condition it came to you in was enough to make me weep! Your skills are amazing-thank you for sharing your knowledge. I look forward to the second part!
This is one of my favorite channels. I think you only have 5 videos up when I started watching. Thanks for all the tips and showing the amazing pieces you work on!
Absolutely beautiful - I am greatly looking forward to part 2. From the thumbnail this gem will look like something from the Amber Room when you're finished. Your care and love of your profession shines through in every single video you publish!
I am not a split video type viewer but when it comes to your incredible work patience is definitely worth it because your restorations are amazing and definitely worth the wait ❤️
You do such detailed and beautiful work on any piece you have. This one needs quite a bit of work but I know that you are the BEST at what you do. Can't wait to see the next part of this one, I know that your attention to this piece will be well worth the wait. You have a great day
Started watching and haven't even seen you do anything to it yet and I just got to say how much I love the shape and glass of this piece I am sure you are going to make it look phenomenal!
Your videos are a joy to watch, Ahti! I can hardly wait for the second video to see this beauty finished and gorgeous again! You are an artist with wood!
Oh wow! You’re just amazing. If someone in the U.S. had an art deco sideboard n wanted it to be restored I don’t think there’s anyone could ever do it as well n to perfection as you. Looking forward part 2. I know it had to take hours n hours of labor to restore this awesome piece. ♥️🥰👍🌟🌟
Can't wait to see the final result. Your work is amazing. I'm always glued to the screen watching every step!😃Your right about veneer being tedious. I re-veneered and old petal sewing machine cabinet once.
I hate two part videos. But I love that it's coming from this channel. Thank you for making it multiple videos. I really enjoy seeing these restoration details. With multiple videos nothing is rushed over. I'm excited for the next one! Thank you!
Au contraire. The (very seldom appering) two part format givs me that "cliffhanger" feeling 😊
Do you hate two part videos or do you like them? You contradicted yourself.
Can’t wait for next episode better than kdrama❤
I agree but! Even if this guy did a 1 part 1 hour long it would STILL be too short 😊
@mattmcilnay9609 I did. I will flipflop either way for this channel. 1 video? Love it. Multi video? Love it.
Repairing waterfall edge veneer well is an art form in itself. Thank you for showing clearly how it is done.
Eagerly awaiting part 2!
Thank you!
I like how you call the old makers "masters". Showing the admiration for their work! You are well and truly a master yourself!

You very often end up restoring these lovely art deco pieces. Love them each and every one...
Can't wait to see the finish! Lovely work!
I love that you show spots where an amateur like me would freak out, like the bubbles in the veneer.
