Your repair of the one decorative piece was brilliant. Your use of the Dremel to shape tate piece was inspired. And all the other small repairs. Why in the world would someone discard such a beautiful piece? I look at a damaged piece like this and wonder what in the world happened to it. How did people let it get in such bad shape. And just an aside, I love Tonti with his curly whiskers. The outcome was amazing. I love watching you work.

Watching you use the dremel to sculpt the repairs made me appreciate the original craftsmanship even more. Can you imagine doing ALL of the beautiful work on this table by hand? What kind of wood is this table? I love the new stain and finish, because it’s so much warmer than the original. I do have to wonder about one thing. With all of the beautiful carvings on the top, where the heck are you supposed to set your cup of coffee?

You can use a syringe to put glue in small pieces it will be easier I've seen it done before just wanted to pass it along 😅

Or you just bring everything on a tea tray and set it down to be the flat surface. The table just has to hold up the tray.
While, personally, preferring the less ornate, this is beautiful. You did a painstakingly and very lovely job.
