Drexel in the 1950’s was still top of the line. You found a great piece. Imagine the sofa length that would ordinated with that table? Long and low. So 50’s! Great restoration. Carol from California
That's beautiful now! I'm always impressed by your patience in doing these restorations, and the explanations you give of what you do, and why. It was certainly well worth taking that time and trouble, though.
I admire your ability to repair something that has been injured and neglected, and restore it to a state of beauty and utility. Your meticulous attention to detail amazes and inspires me. The finished piece is lovely. (And I so enjoy the sounds of birds in your neighborhood when you are working out of doors. It is my favorite kind of background music!)
Thanks for another great project! You're a wizard with the retouching, at least it looks like magic. Also have to say that foaming glue should be illegal...
I’ve been watching your videos for years and each time I always say to myself, “I wish I could do what you do.” Such an inspiration. Keep up with the great work of furniture restoration and video content.
What a great idea. Thanks for the tip about using a utility blade to flush-cut the epoxy putty. So obviously as soon as one sees you doing it. An excellent way to avoid heavy sanding (and the risk of sanding through the veneer) but trimming with a knife had never occurred to me. Thanks!
Good on you to work in the snow! This video is fantastic, loved every second of it. In the midst of the drawer repair, when you removed those dowels for good, my blood pressure dropped significantly. LOLOL. Ahhhh, breathed a sigh of relief. 🥰Thanks for the video!! And I was just referring to you not even a week ago (for great videos/work), so good to see another great video from you.
Wow, you worked magic on the water circle, can't even see it now! Looks so gorgeous! The wood grain is absolutely amazing! Fantastic save and fabulous job! 😊❤
impressive. my mom had an antique shop so we did this sort of thing growing up. i wish she would have lived to see youtube and your nice channel. thanks
I grew up with parents who restored antiques because they couldn’t afford new furniture. It provided me with so must appreciation for fine craftsmanship, and with skills to last a lifetime. I cherish those memories. It’s nice to know someone else can relate. 😊
This was a beautiful piece of furniture and expertly restored. It looks amazing. Just imagine the size of jigsaw you could do on there? So pleased you saved it. 🙂
Enjoyed this restoration. I think the table probably looks better than it did originally. The blemish correction was interesting and I learned something.
You truly are an artist in your craft and I’ve learned over the years about myself, that if your going to be good at something patience is the key, a lesson worth learning thank you my friend 😊
Before you apply stain or sealer, you could use a very wet q-tip just on the dark stained area, the water will raise the grain, then you can sand with 120 and it should remove a lot more of the stain.
You do amazing work under challenging conditions! Somewhere on your screen you should post the temperature! I also enjoyed the birdsong. I think I heard a cardinal? I did recognize the black-capped chickadee!
I've always wondered why noone ever stain the legs and aprons prior to reassembling. In my experience it's easier to get a uniform stain on the pieces if I stain and give one coat of varnish before I reassemble.
Drexel Perspective! Designed by Milo Baughman. Drexel isn't my favorite mcm furniture manufacturer, but I do think they had the nicest veneer selection! I've restored quite a few drexel pieces and the grain patterns and chatoyancy are usually spectacular
Beautifully done. I was surprised you didn’t replace the veneer on the drawer corner. Maybe you just wanted the challenge of painting in the grain. It looks satisfying, but I know my with eyesight and lack of patience I would do well.

Dashner with the save! The crowd goes WILD (Minnesota Wild, that is). Seriously, beautiful work; you're an inspiration.
What a lovely restoration of a great Mid-Century Modern table.
The touch up on the circular water stain, using the small brush, was fabulous. Great video.
I like watching and learning from your videos. It shows us we can repair pieces with basic tools. Good job.
Wow! Your patience and attention to detail is so inspiring.

Thank you!
You give such cogent explanations of what you do and why. I really appreciate it!
Congratulations on your use of the word cogent. The word of the day is cogent. Tomorrow's word of the day is eschew.

Brilliant workmanship.
A most enjoyable video. Relaxing to listen to.
If you were not a craftsman you could have been a therapist.
One and the same thing here, isn't he? Send me the bill.

Could you start practicing now and then, in another few years, you would have the skills to do it!
That was a great rescue.
Thank you.
My!, My!, My!!!, You did an Exceptional Job. It’s really very beautiful. Well Done. 🥳🥳🥳
This is art

@@OwlingDogDesign Thanks for watching!
That drawer design is so funky in a good way. I really like the new colors and touch ups that you’ve done.
A great result, and ending in a flurry of snowflakes, as all good Minnesota stories should.
Wow, you worked magic on the water circle, can't even see it now! Looks so gorgeous! The wood grain is absolutely amazing! Fantastic save and fabulous job! 😊❤

Muy buen trabajo, ha quedado espectacular. Te felicito y gracias por compartirlo.

Very nice. The original tabletop veneer is really lovely; neat that you opted for a clear finish on the top.
Turned out great.
Look great ❤
Beautiful. I would proudy put that in my living room.
Beautiful piece. Well done! 🥃
Well done Picasso ! You are a master of the touch up.

Tolles Ergebnis. Sowas schmeißt man nicht weg!👍🇩🇪
so pretty! Love your videos so much, they calm me down
That is really gorgeous. I love the pieces you choose & the work you do.
Thank you. I appreciate it!
Enjoyed this restoration. I think the table probably looks better than it did originally. The blemish correction was interesting and I learned something.
After the touch up you can barely see the planter stain. I love this piece.
Wowww!… I think this one turned out beautifully. My favorite one yet and so satisfying to watch.
Wonderful! I appreciate your specific details as you restored each aspect of this coffee table. Thank you. Susie
That’s a good job. Beautiful veneered top. 😊
You truly are an artist in your craft and I’ve learned over the years about myself, that if your going to be good at something patience is the key, a lesson worth learning thank you my friend 😊
Great job on a lovely (after you finished) piece.
This is one beautiful design. You just unearthed its' wholeness . Thank you.

Nice restoration!!! That's a great looking piece!
Beautiful piece!
Stunning result!
Well done! It’s a sharp coffee table
Another fantastic job on something some TH-cam "restorers" would have painted without a second thought.
Incredible work on that water stain circle.
Beautiful job! Lovely table.
Beautiful job Mr. Dashner😊
Absolutely beautiful save!
You do amazing work under challenging conditions! Somewhere on your screen you should post the temperature! I also enjoyed the birdsong. I think I heard a cardinal? I did recognize the black-capped chickadee!
It seems like a really well made table! Amazing restoration!
What a lovely job you did here!
Beautiful outcome. Thanks!

Very nice transformation!
Beautiful and informative. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Another work of perfection.
I clearly remember that you posted the same video before 2 or 3 years ago.
Those who are new viewers would be happy about that!
Karen is on the job making sure her years-old memories are submitted as evidence for new viewers
There's always one
Me.Dasher this was quite impressive. I’ve never seen such detail in camouflaging a dark stain. Wow. Me likey ❤️
Beautiful!
Another great save!
Beautiful 👍👍👍
Another one saved from people’s negligence! Good job!!
Was waiting to see what you did with the hinges, did they end up getting oiled or polished or just left as is?
Another great piece of work 👏👏👍
excellent work

Always a pleasure, tino ataahua.
This Florida boy loves restoring furniture but not enough to work outside in Minnesota in the winter. 🥶
Thank you
I always like when the tables try to fly away.
