“You better run, boy, and fast.” I will never forget playing that moment. Trying to run away from the guards as fast as you can. Not knowing what was going on. The game built that scene perfectly.
17:57 - 18:06 Ezio: May I come in? Christina: Fine. But only for a minute. Ezio: A minute is all I need. Christina: Indeed. Ezio: Well wait, that came out wrong... LOL
"Altair" is an Arabic name which means "the flyer", or "bird", and "Ezio" is the Italian version of the Roman name "Aetius" which means eagle. MIND = BLOWN!
The name Connor is actually a reference to Ratohnhaketon's unique fighting style. Ratohnhaketon's fighting is a lot more brutal and predatory, and it's reflected in the name that Connor means "friend of wolves."
This is a story all about how, my life got flipped, turned upside down. Now I’d like to take a moment before I begin I’ll tell you how I became the Mentor of the Assassins. A renaissance Florentine born and raised, above on the rooftops where I spent most of my days. Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool, and flirting with the pretty girls being a fool. When a couple of guards said papa was up to no good and killing nobles in my neighbourhood. I watched as he hung, my mom said to me, “You’re moving in with your uncle in Monteriggioni.” I learned about my family from my uncle and then my quest for revenge just had to begin. I travelled lands both near and far, to settle of scores with the Order of the Knights Templar. With all that done, it was enough for me, and became a Mentor with a family. A heart attack is where my story ends. Husband, father and Mentor of the Assassins.
+Federico Cerri No, non credo sia italiano.. L'esclamazione 'bravo' anche se è italiana si usa in tutto il mondo con l'unico problema che rimane al singolare maschile anche se la si usa per una femmina o per più persone 😉
It really gives you a sense of emotion when he screams, "Father!" It's so sad that he had to see his own father being killed in front of him, along side his brothers being innocent, and killed for no reason. This is why this game is one of the best and if not, the best.
1:42:33 gets me every time! "Have you tried sugar? or latte?" It's funny how ubiquitous coffee houses are now, but I am sure this is similar to the initial reactions when Italians first tried coffee. I just love that Ubisoft took time to add a detail like this. Shows why this series is so great.
This was awesome. Thank you for making this. I always thought this game would make a great movie. I mean I love playing this game but sometimes I just like to sit back and watch. thanks again for making this. truly amazing work. especially when you fight.
AC1 is still a very good game if you haven't played the others, and actually is really important story wise. It tells the beginning of Desmond's story, and introduces you to the Assassins, giving you an in depth look at their creed, such as the three tenets, which aren't even discussed in the other games.
Hihihihihihi147 It was emotional. Oh my god, it was pretty good though. I sobbed almost as long as I did during the Mass Effect 3 ending. It was good-emotional crying, though.
VenomousPride Awesome :D (something to look forward to yay ^^) I love emotional Video game endings it makes them so much more memorable (in my opinion) Btw I already own ac4 but I havent played it yet cuz I wanted to play the whole series again from the beginning :)
+Man Holt Romans are Italians... But I know you mean to say that "Aetius" is the Ancient Roman version of the Greek word "aetos" which means eagle, and "Ezio" is just the modern form of that. Also, the ship that Connor uses in AC3 is called the "Aquila" which also means eagle in Latin. There is also a constellation in our stars called the Aquila which takes shape as an eagle, and its brightest star is called "Altair" (which is Arabic for "the flyer") (it's also the twelfth brightest star in the night sky). Also, Connor Kenway's father is called "Haytham" which means "young eagle" in Arabic. ALSO, the meaning of "Arno" (AC Unity's protagonist) is "the eagle rules", or "strong as an eagle" in German. MIND = BLOOOOOWN!!! Sadly, AC Syndicate's protagonists' names have nothing to do with the word eagle.
21:57 Madre: Self-expression is vital to understanding and enjoying life... You should find an outlet. Ezio: (rolling his eyes) I have plenty of outlets. Madre: I meant besides vaginas.
I love the fact that as the game progresses, Ezio's voice changes. As the game moves on his voice deepens. The detail they've given in this game is incredible.
I have watched this one along with many others, and just now I realised that I never subscribed to you. Found that out a few hours ago, and now I'm just being like, "..my memory sucks for telling me to subscribe to such amazing movie/video/song makers." But the "It's a me, Mario!" was one of the best, for sure.
Thank you for these. I played AC1 sometime after it's release. Now I had the fortune of receiving AC3 and Black Flag, so your Movies of AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations are an awesome and quick way to get my Assassin's Creed story knowledge up to speed. Thank you so much!
Glad to help. If you like the stories I suggest you buy the games. The movies here are only ~3 hours, but the games themselves are around 12 hours minimum, and that doesn't count all the side missions and things.
Thank-you, Andy Gilleand, for all you do for us non-gamers. Me being a movie buff (and these games so remind me of watching a movie) I really just want to watch the plot details and the action scenes...so thank-you!
For me it's: Black Flag AC3 Brotherhood AC2 AC1 Revelations I know my AC3 opinion is rare, but I feel most of the criticisms of that game are unwarranted, except for the ending.
Andy Gilleand I gave up on Revelations years ago, just recently went back to it and finished it. Shopping around for AC3 now lol but yeah I know what you mean, only a couple of ppl I know gave it a decent review
Tyler Scott I liked Revelations a lot better the second time through, when I was making a movie from it. The movie making process allowed me to focus more on the story and I thought it was a really interesting story. It's just that I wasn't particularly fond of the setting, and I didn't like the lack of side missions in comparison to AC2 and Brotherhood
I've played the game a few times, so I remember the buttons and the missions fairly easy. As for locations on the map, I can re-enable the HUD between missions to find my next location, since I don't really show the travel between locations very much in my movies.
I have to say, you are a hard worker. I would never be able to spend this much time in creating games into movies for all; it must have taken you weeks! Thank you.
Andy, you are truly the best when it comes to making these game movies. I searched other channels but most just stitch the clips together with no gameplay to tie everything together. AC2 is one of my favorites. The only thing that would have made this movie perfect was if you had included the missing sequences “The Battle of Forlì” and “Bonfire of the Vanities” Looking forward to your Unity and Rogue movies when you get around to making them. Keep up the great work.
2:35:19 To those who didn't know this, this is where the Nintendo DS game Assassin's Creed 2 Discovery begins and ends, and 2:35:34 is sometime after Ezio returns from Spain, and the Assassin's Creed movie also ties in with AC2 and Discovery because Callum Lynch's ancestor, Aguilar joined the Spanish Assassin brotherhood in January of 1492 while Ezio helped the Spanish Assassins fight the Spanish Inquisition from November 1491 to August 1492 assassinating a few inquisitors, and then returned to Florence. Ezio could have made a cameo in the AC movie, he was in Spain at the time Aguilar's memories take place in the movie, but to those who haven't seen the movie but is expecting a cameo, don't waste time hoping for it, it never happens.
Amazing work! I can't believe you actually did the subtitles yourself! I bet it took a lot of work. Thank you for making this, my mom enjoyed watching it as much as I did!
Personally, I think Assassin's Creed II is the best one in the series so far. It has great music, great story line and it was my first Xbox 360 game where I got all the achievements.
Thanks Andy for the video. Personally I hate the gameplay mechanics in ALL the AC games. So many unfixed issues and from what I have played (all but Unity), there haven't been any improvements. Watching the video is a nice way to get the story, which I think is the best part of the franchise. They touch on so many things and put them together in an interesting way. Watching it is more enjoyable and gives me more time to enjoy playing other games :)
Had to watch the the entire movie because my ( and of many others) game didnt save. Thanks Ubisoft, 6 years and still not patched. But still I didnt really mind watching it all because it is just great!
I haven't played any of these games. (except for AC3 Liberation on the Vita) But I am very inclined to knowing the story. Sadly, I don't have the time to play them all. Thank you so much for this! You got me hooked on your movies. Just finished the first one 5 minutes ago. :)
It was minerva keeing him alive as the apple had him and minerva could't let Ezio die Rodrigo was not the Prophet Ezio was 😉 the apple healed his stab would
I go running and start to climb trees and smaller buildings for like 10 minutes, then I'm like "Fuck this. I'm off to play Assassin's Creed, that's easier than this."
I have a copy of this game, but it's so boring to play, myself. Thanks a ton for doing this. So many of my friends recommended Ezio's story, and I'm glad I can experience it without playing.
Lmclean89 i admit that it is a bit annoying to see the characters speak in italian without having a translation, so maybe whenever a character is speaking a different language, andy (the guy who made the video) could add a translation. adding the in game subtitles would make it feel like you're watching a lets play of the game in question.
shyguicc I think the game is better when its not translated. Desmond doesn't see a translation either, and the Italian adds to the atmosphere of the game. But nothing said in Italian is absolutely vital to understand, plus it's usually pretty easy to figure out what he's saying by paying attention to the context of the conversation.
Desmond saw the translations. He even thanked Rebecca for adding subtitles in the Animus 2.0. But anyway, I just finished the TH-cam subtitles yesterday (yes, I made captions for the whole video, you're welcome), so it should appear soon. But people need to review it first.
Matthew James MMMMUUUUUUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!AAAAAAAAAA!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA...No fuck you...
Perfect! Just when I've discovered I can't play this PC game with a gamepad, and was about to abandon the game, I now get to chance to watch the entire movie. Cool! TQ!
You're probably right. PC gaming is not suitable for noobs like me. I started up AC3 and still the gamepad doesn't work. Then I exited AC3 and started up NFS:R. Gamepad worked. Then I exited NFS:R and restarted AC3, and guess what, the gamepad worked this time!!! I just don't get it. Anyway, I've already finished watching AC2's movie. Ain't going back to play AC2. Pretty glad I didn't play AC2 coz the movie showed that its pretty boring. Now, I'm playing AC3 ... much better than AC1 & AC2! Had consoles have the power of the PC, I'll fork out big bucks for consoles (say, an i7 + 980); but as it is, I'm still sticking to PC gaming for max. settings on all games with the best graphics card. Cheers!
This games a freaking masterpiece. This and AC3 are my favorites in the series, although I love all of the games. The story is so deep and personal, and we see Ezio grow from a young, angry, vengeful orphan to a Master Assassin.
***** I haven't played Rogue yet myself, but here are my ratings: Black Flag - 95 AC3 - 92 Brotherhood - 89 AC2 - 88 Unity - 77 Revelations - 73 Freedom Cry - 73 AC1 - 72 Liberation - 71 King Washington - 70
***** I didn't even factor that in. Mostly it was the story I didn't care for. Too little character development, and not enough modern story progression.
“You better run, boy, and fast.” I will never forget playing that moment. Trying to run away from the guards as fast as you can. Not knowing what was going on. The game built that scene perfectly.
Nah for sine reason i fought the guards and almost died
Fr. That bit was right after the tragedy. And it felt like shit just got real. 😮
Ever heard of the art of "climbing buildings"?

There is however a cameo by Arno Dorian, who is one of Callum's ancestors.
Yeah, that surprised me. When I saw the film I was like: "Wait, is one of Cal's ancestors Arno?" He's the only Assassin with a blue outfit.

For this one, one of my viewers typed up the subtitles for me. I'm very grateful for that.
TY, I bought all the AC games in the steam sale, but I never played AC:2 and AC:B. Really, really awesome editing!
Assassins creed 2 will always be my top Assassins creed game series
Leo Da Vinci is so eccentric in this! He's just awesome!
Best storyline of the franchise. Black flag's was the best gameplay and story by itself but nothing can beat ezio
Rogue has better everything than black flag
You did a really good job on the editing man god I miss the good old days of ezio by far the best assassini
I like the way you cut out the less important gameplay so it would feel more like actual movie. Bravo on you're editing skills.

It was minerva keeing him alive as the apple had him and minerva could't let Ezio die Rodrigo was not the Prophet Ezio was 😉 the apple healed his stab would
Sometimes in my real life I feel like Ezio A. and I want to jump from one house to another and buildings in my town!
LOL Meh too
I go running and start to climb trees and smaller buildings for like 10 minutes, then I'm like "Fuck this. I'm off to play Assassin's Creed, that's easier than this."
Hahaha there is always Buildings I see !
At the 1 hour and 18 minute point I had the exact same type of equipment, and the exact same sword (captain's sword ).
I have a copy of this game, but it's so boring to play, myself. Thanks a ton for doing this. So many of my friends recommended Ezio's story, and I'm glad I can experience it without playing.
Our GOD, Andy, has done yet another great job
you should put subtitles on next time
yeah, but it'll take away the 'movie' feel of the video
***** heaps of people watch movies with subtitles, and almost every movie uses subtitles for foreign language

Still gives me chills.
Will always be the best AC.for me.
Thanks for the movie! It was well put together! i'm watching all of the AC movies to see if i want to pick up UNITY!
No game will ever have a better sound track or opening then AC2. I still get chills when I listen to the sound track and watch the opening part!
Is Brotherhood a good game?
Matthew James MMMMUUUUUUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!AAAAAAAAAA!!
AHAHAHAHAHAHA...No fuck you...
much obliged
That is your perspective on life and its opinions. Life thinks brotherhood sucks.
Dulkith Pitigalage Yes its good
WHY?! WHY U NO HUG LEONARDO?! MEH HEART!! IT HURTS!!
Ubisoft couldnt pass the offer of having Mario in the game, right?
Perfect! Just when I've discovered I can't play this PC game with a gamepad, and was about to abandon the game, I now get to chance to watch the entire movie. Cool! TQ!
I played with a gamepad
Cheers!
R6ex AC2 is the best Assassin's Creed
ImperialDoor This is only your opinion. Don't state your opinion as a fact, please.
a great thanks for whoever made this montage
Andy deserves atleast 4m subs =/
:)
Ezio means eagle
Altair's name has something to do with eagles too, even that assassin that will be in the Assassin's Creed movie, Callum Lynch's ancestor, Aguilar
Allen Rosales wow that explains a lot thanks : D
Altier in Arabic "الطير" means the bird as well
This games should be remastered
Your wish came true
Simon It sucks ass, the older gen is actually better
IamFromBeyond Ezio collection slightly looks better actually apart from some weird looking faces on the characters lol
10 years later, and I still can't believe you didn't hug Leonardo. 😅
I forgot that was coming! By the time I went to press it I was too late 😭
@@AndyGilleand it's okay, I'll just pretend you hugged him. 😊
This games a freaking masterpiece. This and AC3 are my favorites in the series, although I love all of the games. The story is so deep and personal, and we see Ezio grow from a young, angry, vengeful orphan to a Master Assassin.
These graphics were top notch back then now they're just cringy as fuck
+Alex A I agree, even AC1 looks better today, even though AC2 has more detail
brotherhood is good tho
+Alex A They still look good to me :P lol I dunno
+ILLMINDEDCHILD botherhood is buggy as shit lol
ac - 7/10
ac2 - 9/10
ac brotherhood - 9/10
ac revelations - 8/10
ac3 - 8/10
ac4 - 9/10
ac unity - 9/10

***** I haven't played Rogue yet myself, but here are my ratings:
Black Flag - 95
AC3 - 92
Brotherhood - 89
AC2 - 88
Unity - 77
Revelations - 73
Freedom Cry - 73
AC1 - 72
Liberation - 71
King Washington - 70
***** I didn't even factor that in. Mostly it was the story I didn't care for. Too little character development, and not enough modern story progression.
It's decent but nothing special
AC - 8/10
AC2 - 10/10
ACB - 8/10
ACR - 9/10
AC3 - 9/10
ACBR - 7/10
ACU - 8/10
ACRO - 8/10
That's my opinions.
i would like to rate unity, but this game is such a shitty port on PC, giving it a 0/10
I just realized Ezio looks like Drake lmao
+John Capili And here i thought i was the only one who thinks that. hehe
+John Capili thats the first thing i told myself lol
no he doesn't
when leonardo was about to fake cut ezios arm....ezios reaction was like a scared puppy 😂😂 35:95
very best scene for me is still the moment ezio meets his uncle again and he says itze me mario
