1:42:33 gets me every time! "Have you tried sugar? or latte?" It's funny how ubiquitous coffee houses are now, but I am sure this is similar to the initial reactions when Italians first tried coffee. I just love that Ubisoft took time to add a detail like this. Shows why this series is so great.
It really gives you a sense of emotion when he screams, "Father!" It's so sad that he had to see his own father being killed in front of him, along side his brothers being innocent, and killed for no reason. This is why this game is one of the best and if not, the best.
AC1 is still a very good game if you haven't played the others, and actually is really important story wise. It tells the beginning of Desmond's story, and introduces you to the Assassins, giving you an in depth look at their creed, such as the three tenets, which aren't even discussed in the other games.

I've played the game a few times, so I remember the buttons and the missions fairly easy. As for locations on the map, I can re-enable the HUD between missions to find my next location, since I don't really show the travel between locations very much in my movies.

Tyler Scott I liked Revelations a lot better the second time through, when I was making a movie from it. The movie making process allowed me to focus more on the story and I thought it was a really interesting story. It's just that I wasn't particularly fond of the setting, and I didn't like the lack of side missions in comparison to AC2 and Brotherhood
AC2 was an S Tier game. It was generational. The likelihood of another game (never mind AC game) being this incredible is almost impossible. In 2023, Witcher 2 is the only game on the same level as AC2 since it’s release. In my opinion, AC2, MGS, Witcher 2, and Dragon Age Origins are best story-driven games of all time. Truly epic game.

I love the fact that as the game progresses, Ezio's voice changes. As the game moves on his voice deepens. The detail they've given in this game is incredible.

Personally, I think Assassin's Creed II is the best one in the series so far. It has great music, great story line and it was my first Xbox 360 game where I got all the achievements.
Had to watch the the entire movie because my ( and of many others) game didnt save. Thanks Ubisoft, 6 years and still not patched. But still I didnt really mind watching it all because it is just great!

Lmclean89 i admit that it is a bit annoying to see the characters speak in italian without having a translation, so maybe whenever a character is speaking a different language, andy (the guy who made the video) could add a translation. adding the in game subtitles would make it feel like you're watching a lets play of the game in question.
shyguicc I think the game is better when its not translated. Desmond doesn't see a translation either, and the Italian adds to the atmosphere of the game. But nothing said in Italian is absolutely vital to understand, plus it's usually pretty easy to figure out what he's saying by paying attention to the context of the conversation.
Desmond saw the translations. He even thanked Rebecca for adding subtitles in the Animus 2.0. But anyway, I just finished the TH-cam subtitles yesterday (yes, I made captions for the whole video, you're welcome), so it should appear soon. But people need to review it first.

+cenasux115 Ubisoft appears to want to get back to that level again, starting with Syndicate, but it's obviously too soon to tell. AC4 was a great game though, my favorite, even though the modern day part sucked.
+cenasux115 you've got some things backwards there lol. AC4 easily had the best storytelling in the series, and fantastic character development. Rogue isn't as good as 4, 3, Brotherhood, or 2, but it's better than Unity.

+cenasux115 the pirates in AC4 are absolutely nothing like the Hollywood cliche, because they were rooted in the actual factual history of pirates. AC4 very accurately portrayed pirates as real people who became disappointed with the state of their government and decided to secede and try to build their own nation. It was a story focused on freedom, the core value behind the Assassins, and Edward was the most human character in the series with the most character development and best supporting cast. Not only that but it featured fantastic writing, acting, music, and gameplay. It's easily my favorite in the series, and a large portion of the AC community agrees with that. The only place I felt it disappointed was the modern day. Aside from that, it was near perfect.
This games a freaking masterpiece. This and AC3 are my favorites in the series, although I love all of the games. The story is so deep and personal, and we see Ezio grow from a young, angry, vengeful orphan to a Master Assassin.
I have watched this one along with many others, and just now I realised that I never subscribed to you. Found that out a few hours ago, and now I'm just being like, "..my memory sucks for telling me to subscribe to such amazing movie/video/song makers." But the "It's a me, Mario!" was one of the best, for sure.

You're probably right. PC gaming is not suitable for noobs like me. I started up AC3 and still the gamepad doesn't work. Then I exited AC3 and started up NFS:R. Gamepad worked. Then I exited NFS:R and restarted AC3, and guess what, the gamepad worked this time!!! I just don't get it. Anyway, I've already finished watching AC2's movie. Ain't going back to play AC2. Pretty glad I didn't play AC2 coz the movie showed that its pretty boring. Now, I'm playing AC3 ... much better than AC1 & AC2! Had consoles have the power of the PC, I'll fork out big bucks for consoles (say, an i7 + 980); but as it is, I'm still sticking to PC gaming for max. settings on all games with the best graphics card. Thanks Andy for the video. Personally I hate the gameplay mechanics in ALL the AC games. So many unfixed issues and from what I have played (all but Unity), there haven't been any improvements. Watching the video is a nice way to get the story, which I think is the best part of the franchise. They touch on so many things and put them together in an interesting way. Watching it is more enjoyable and gives me more time to enjoy playing other games :)

Lmclean89 i admit that it is a bit annoying to see the characters speak in italian without having a translation, so maybe whenever a character is speaking a different language, andy (the guy who made the video) could add a translation. adding the in game subtitles would make it feel like you're watching a lets play of the game in question.
shyguicc I think the game is better when its not translated. Desmond doesn't see a translation either, and the Italian adds to the atmosphere of the game. But nothing said in Italian is absolutely vital to understand, plus it's usually pretty easy to figure out what he's saying by paying attention to the context of the conversation.
Desmond saw the translations. He even thanked Rebecca for adding subtitles in the Animus 2.0. But anyway, I just finished the TH-cam subtitles yesterday (yes, I made captions for the whole video, you're welcome), so it should appear soon. But people need to review it first.

+cenasux115 Ubisoft appears to want to get back to that level again, starting with Syndicate, but it's obviously too soon to tell. AC4 was a great game though, my favorite, even though the modern day part sucked.
Andy Gilleand AC4 is garbage alongside with AC Rogue. Even though Unity is dog shit is way better than those 2
+cenasux115 you've got some things backwards there lol. AC4 easily had the best storytelling in the series, and fantastic character development. Rogue isn't as good as 4, 3, Brotherhood, or 2, but it's better than Unity.
+Andy Gilleand I fucking hated AC4's pirate cliche story so much that AC4 was the 1st AC game i never beat because of how bad it was. Also Edward was such a dull character he waa nowhere near 2 Ezio or Altair
+cenasux115 the pirates in AC4 are absolutely nothing like the Hollywood cliche, because they were rooted in the actual factual history of pirates. AC4 very accurately portrayed pirates as real people who became disappointed with the state of their government and decided to secede and try to build their own nation. It was a story focused on freedom, the core value behind the Assassins, and Edward was the most human character in the series with the most character development and best supporting cast. Not only that but it featured fantastic writing, acting, music, and gameplay. It's easily my favorite in the series, and a large portion of the AC community agrees with that.
The only place I felt it disappointed was the modern day. Aside from that, it was near perfect.
This games a freaking masterpiece. This and AC3 are my favorites in the series, although I love all of the games. The story is so deep and personal, and we see Ezio grow from a young, angry, vengeful orphan to a Master Assassin.

I haven't beat Unity yet, and I haven't played Rogue yet, so I can't count those, but my favorite AC game before those is AC4
Personally, I found AC 2 to be the best simply because it was drastically improved from AC 1. But other than that, I agree. PIRATES

You're probably right. PC gaming is not suitable for noobs like me. I started up AC3 and still the gamepad doesn't work. Then I exited AC3 and started up NFS:R. Gamepad worked. Then I exited NFS:R and restarted AC3, and guess what, the gamepad worked this time!!! I just don't get it. Anyway, I've already finished watching AC2's movie. Ain't going back to play AC2. Pretty glad I didn't play AC2 coz the movie showed that its pretty boring. Now, I'm playing AC3 ... much better than AC1 & AC2! Had consoles have the power of the PC, I'll fork out big bucks for consoles (say, an i7 + 980); but as it is, I'm still sticking to PC gaming for max. settings on all games with the best graphics card. Cheers!

Thanks Andy for the video. Personally I hate the gameplay mechanics in ALL the AC games. So many unfixed issues and from what I have played (all but Unity), there haven't been any improvements. Watching the video is a nice way to get the story, which I think is the best part of the franchise. They touch on so many things and put them together in an interesting way. Watching it is more enjoyable and gives me more time to enjoy playing other games :)
