Transformers have a maximum amperage that they can output. To output higher amperage, the input voltage needs to be higher or the transformer needs to be larger. What is the output amperage of this contraption?
Not really a big fan of this trend where nothing is actually said. Not all that up on my electrical knowledge, so a little vocal reinforcement is always welcomed and seems to help a lot. I imagine being a kid in school and the teacher coming into class the first day and writing on the chalkboard, "Hello class, my name is Mrs. Dickerson. There won't be any talking this year in class. We will only use hand gestures to communicate". Isn't that what the cavemen had to do?
if the capacitor shorted, you will blow up whatever device on the output. a good old autotransformer is the best and they are cheap anyway now from China 220VAC to 110VAC step down

bro the upper resistor you can use it as the same value as the other one but in more wattage to let more current pass
