Congrats on Vlog of the year nomination
Gonna play a relatable 5-10 game and buy in for 5k, oh and it’s match the stack…… Nothing about that is relatable 😂
Thanks for coming back to earth. I am a long time viewer who started looking for new vloggers to follow since watching wild men play nose bleed stakes does not help my game a bit. Thanks for remembering your fans. Tell Rampage too
I love how brofessionally you justify less than average hands since everyone knows that normal folks like myself often play this way in real time! You've always kept it real and I enjoy that so much. Been a huge fan since vid #3!!!
Couldn't say it better dude! Let's hope he gets some Bradley dollars at the lodge!
@@stewartwyeth1302 all in on that one!
What about 1 and 2?
@@brendandeems6876 That's Trooper turf... lol
love the word brofessionally
Amazing rise, amazing growth!!!. Gosh, was it about 3.5 yrs ago, we were playing 2-3 NL at Lake Elsinore. Now, quick move up to 10-20, 25-50, 50-100 w a 100 ante...100-200-400 w ante. You win 100k pots, 206k pots very impressive !! "Like a Yung maan, coming in for ahh quickie.....You are not satisfied"....lol Sorry about that ol line Mariano. Watching your blog, your still the same down to earth dude Continued success Mar !!!
I’ll watch whatever stakes you play! Thanks for always bringing quality
Oh man, get some Paulsons in there! Hurts to see you guys using dice chips
Even if you know these guys, I would be weary playing high stakes at a place using the most commonly bought poker chips. Someone can easily sneak in some greens as $25s or blacks as $100s and easily compromise the game. That other home game you play that uses Classic Poker Chip (CPC) chips is much better to play in since those chips are not cheap & they're unique to the owner so very hard for someone to sneak in chips from the outside.
Just be careful and cautious, man.
Yeah for sure, that's part of the gamble I suppose
The irony is moving down to a 5-10 game is that it's probably miles tougher than the Hustler Live games and other higher games you are currently playing. Game selection and Bankroll management are by far the biggest leaks players have.
You the star in your own movie.
Amazing result
QQ v A8 - you got owned 🤣💀
Loved your narrative in this one Mario made me laugh
I’ve been watching you a rampage for like a lil while now, and have became such a better poker player because of y’all!!
“Let’s play some measly, peasant stakes.”
Proceeds to buyin for $10k
*everyone in chat 😮
☠
Always a good day when mariano uploads :D
I'm glad you
Did this 5/10 🙌🏼video
Miss them
Double barrel with queen Jack to River the nuts is fun…
I'll never understand why games with such high stakes buy chips that can be found in any Walmart. Get something with a little security, which doesn't have to be expensive
Don’t play poker lol
well they fullfill their purpose anyway but I totally get where you are coming from, we play with higher quality chips in our monthly poker league with buy in of 20$ :D
@@Dendelin007 yeah lol 😂
Agreed
@@MarianoPoker this is a small game for you and their tripping lol
When you see Mariano post a video about a $9000+ pot in 5-10 and Lex O post an hour later about $9000 buy in for 5-10 game. Hoping to see Mariano stacked his ass 🤣
I always like to see more videos from you. Your fun to watch and I like your reasoning too. Keep it up brother.
not the dice chips mariano 😭
I lol’d when you said “A5 suited… well that’s a bluff”
Awesome to watch you and Brad Owen! One of my fav poker player!
glad you did not spew off a bundle thinking "the stakes are TINY!"
Wow 2023 and we still look at dice chips in a 5/10 NL game while the cards are top notch. XD
The host is just asking to get cheated.
Why not spend a bit of money and get some decent chips. They don’t have to be Paulsons. But dice? In a $5k game?
LOL Dice chips in a home game!!!! No way I’d be playing there for any significant money. Also the host should vacuum the dandruff off the table.
nice short film Mariano, $9000+ Pot in a $5-10 Game!? is my favorite short film of the year so far. but at 15:49 when you said he could easily be value betting worse hands, and the 3rd spade on board didn't change anything, what did you mean? can you name a worse value hand that could easily be betting there?
QQ boom roasted
@@MarianoPoker sorry bro didn't want u to take it so hard
I believe that “weird gut feeling” is you subconsciously picking up on social cues and body language. I think sometimes our subconscious minds are better at psychology than we are.
Fun fact: GTO actually has QJo as a 3 bet from SB vs BTN RFI (based on Jonathan Little pre-flop charts)
Those Amazon my-first-chips chips in the thumbnail are giving me warm fuzzies.
Mariano - "Last fun hand"
Sir your idea of fun is a lot different than mine!
Amazing to see such a huge home game with such a cheap chip set! 10s of thousands on the table and the chip set looks as though its worth $50
Yeah, the most relatable hand was 52 spades lmaoooo
I love 5-10. Want more
Crazy overbet with QJ on the turn
Great content as always thanks for sharing
The funny part about this for me is you struggling to adjust to adjust to how face-up people play their hands in 5-10 vs your normal stakes 😂
I’ve heard a few horror stories in these home games. It’s not worth it
Love your blog Mariano. Just tell that host to upgrade his poker gear. Less than $50 worth of dice poker chips being used for a $5-10 home game with tens of thousands on the table? Yikes. Even some mid-range ceramics from BRpro poker would greatly increase his game security.
I find that most people playing those stake are pretty solid.
Looks like some of the other players have caught up to your bluffing shenanigans : )
Hey we watched you climb up the stakes. You are the motivation. Appreciate everything you share. Awesome vlog!
5-10? That's Brad Owen territory.
hahaha so what ???? it’s always nice to see something we normal people would play and Brad owen is a legend
Brad Owen is responsible. Rampage or Mariano are the types of players that would become broke if they ran bad for six months straight
@@koalsmith7519 rampage is trying hard to go broke right now honestly
Okay I'll get back to my side of town
@@MarianoPoker i love you Mariano, keep it up! 👍
Great footage I absolutely love the home game videos!! Not your fault in the slightest but what the crap bunko chips are those!?
Love the vlogs! In a weird way, I'm glad to see that, like many of us, you sometimes play your C- game. Unlike many of us, you only lose $250. :)
Haha I love seeing that crisp beamer 😁
check out the carbon canyon redwood park next time youre in brea, sick location for a vlog
Right on, nice move
With the AA vs KJ pot there are really no missed draws, and he best huge. I'm not saying you SHOULD fold, but like you said- if a guy you have a read on as tight and rarely bluffing bets huge on the river you might be able to make an exploitable fold.
Using dice chips XD
Can u do a game playin with skittles? I need to bring some strategy to the dumpster fire
That Julio Rodriguez auto 10 though…
It’s for sale right now on ebay
Wobbly home table.
Did I see the dealer take a rake in a home game??
yes like every Cali home game
I thought you were going to say 1-3.
10k home game pot, like you guys play 😆
I've had plenty of 3k+ pots in a 1/2 hg
@@nsant congratulations
@@favor4afavor823 Thanks Peter
Would love to see a low stakes bank roll challenge from you!
Gets way less views than big stakes though.
That's pretty much what the first 2 years of this channel was
@@MarianoPoker Oh awesome, I'll have to go back through the videos. Love the content brother!
Wait, what was the cards in the intro ? You collect cards Mariano ?
Bro you should hit up playground poker in Montreal for a Mug. Wolfgang was just there. He said it’s unbelievable
That game needs some new chips.
Weird seeing a high stakes game being played with Walmart chips lolol
Does anyone know what deck they’re using in the video?

@@MarianoPoker Thanks GOAT 🐐 🔥
Hey Mariano, how much cash would u need total, bf buying in for a 100k live poker. What’s ur opinion
105k. Gotta leave a little cushion.
at least 100k
3 million with aggressive bankroll management, around 6 million with normal bankroll management, 10 million with conservative bankroll management. Just as a rule of thumb. The aggresive one is for taking shots and able to move down stakes in an instant and is ofc very variance heavy while the other two give you a bit more of a puffer. When I played (much lower stakes) I fared best with the conservative approach because bankroll swings can have a mental effect.
somehow I doubt that you should be playing these kinda stakes at all though if you are asking this very basic question in a yt comment section. it is seriously one of the first "skills" you learn when you look for any strategic advise for beginners before starting the poker career.
Everyone talks about you need 20-30 buy ins to play a certain stake. That’s only IF you want to be a professional poker player, and not many people have the time or inclination for that. If you want to sit at any poker game at any stake, 100 big blind buy in is sufficient to get going, but buying for whatever the table max allows is most advantageous.
Mariano should do a 1/3 5k bankroll challenge to 100k profit. Move up in stakes only as he wins, and to manage that 5k to not go broke.
I was gonna say the player on the right is getting you 😅 damn got’em lol
I guess your brain turns off unless you have 100k on table. You are a product of your success, so 5-10 to you feels like .25-.50 to most people.
Good luck tonight at the high stakes game
10k pot in this measly 5-10 game 🤯
What song was the intro?
Love seeing you play smaller games but the big game is in your soul. Nice vlog Mariano.
That much in value and you're using dice chips? Holy shit. How on earth do you protect the game?
If you want to keep the location of this home game undisclosed you should not show or at least blur out the serial numbers of trading cards if you show them (like the Pokémon and sport card in the intro). Makes it pretty easy to track the owner and possibly his location otherwise
I like!!! 🤗
*wish you wouldn't let off the "gas-peddel" though?(3 bets and whatnot? )
The way you played. Count down $250 as a win IMO. No disrespect intended
Can you play a 3-6 limit game
Wow the house rake is way too much. Isn't it illegal for a house game to rake??
I was about to comment if anyone else noticed!
Looks like $15 max, no? If so, that’s extremely extremely reasonable for these stakes. Most underground games are taking upwards of $50-75 per decently sized pot
I have no idea I didn't even ask
14:35
Why is this a good flop for him? He's blocking villain's ace high cards, so shouldn't their range have a lot of K high? And also there shouldn't be a lot of low draw hands because of preflop aggression. Is it just because it's less likely for them to have a king when it's already on the board?
Plugged it into range software with 77+, AKs-A7s, AKo-A6o, KQs-K7s, KQo-K7o, QJs-Q8s, QJo-Q9o, JTs-J8s, JTo, T9s-T8s, T9o, 98s-97s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s
and he had trips a little less than 20% of the time.
This guy doesn't post lossing sessions.
Oh yeah? What about the 100k loss that he posted here _within the last two weeks?!?_
@@alistairwillock7266 reeeeee
Is it more difficult to play with chips that are not marked? Like $5, $25, etc.
Hi from marbella Spain , Hail Mariano
14:07 - The far left stack of black chips is missing one. Hopefully you got paid in full.
The most generic chips for a higher stakes home game lol
like in the dark 😀Mariano, brother u're the best. sweet greetings from Siberia 😇
Without the 5k in your stack when the big hand cam along you would have only won 1k and this would have been a significant loss. Interesting how you were saved dby just one hand.
That thumbnail tho
Is that AA hand an easy call? When he bets pot on the river surely his range is polarized to a K or a bluff. You've got the best bluff catcher but as you said, you had a read that when he bets the river he has it. I'm thinking that's a straight forward fold?
Feels like you didn't play your A game today, and you're reasoning didn't feel as tight as it normally does. Best of luck at HCL today.
It's not a king or a bluff, he could have smaller pocket pairs I guess
@@MarianoPoker thanks for your response! I was thinking a smaller pocket pair probably check calls in that spot though? A pot sized bet with small pocket pairs is super thin value there because normally you call with better and fold worse (thus why I thought that bet sizing means the K or a bluff). What do you think?
Enjoyed the vlog. Felt like you played some questionable hands but what do I know. Lol
15:28 what is a worse hand here though? I feel like you only have value that beats you here (Kx, a set, or the spade flush), missed draws, hands thatd check back (4x, 2x), or specifically 9x which probably isn’t a lot. Like he’s either bluffing or beats u no?
Or am i totally wrong?
Being a night owl in Australia has some advantages I suppose
Facts 😂
These ‘home games’ could total just be staged hand for content lol
Measly 5/10 game lol, he done came up!
Algorithm visibility
Would you give up on a brick river on the QJo hand ?
Yes
Smaller stakes are harder to win at cause nobody folds preflop lol u literally have to outflop everyone
Man I like your high stakes videos it don’t matter to me what you play love the content
Thanks!
You and Lexo same vid title at same time so weird lol
60-80k in cash, but playing with 60 dollar chips wtf
Aren’t you skeptical of playing with the cheapest poker chips? It seems better to have custom chips or at least chips with custom markings on them. I saw the bigger denominations were marked but not the rest?
I LIKE TO WATCH BIGGER POTS even though I don't play!!!
Did you order the veggie burger?
