So much "gold" here. The songs! Things like 2 drum masters for the price of one. Those amazing crystalline arpeggio guitar parts in Diamonds. The fluid beautiful fretless bass in Diamonds. The whole band gels like few bands I've ever seen or heard do to take those amazing songs intelligently sequenced to a high place indeed. Because I'm a father and grandfather to daughters the song Father and Daughter, especially in this performance, rises to something etherial for me. I love this concert, the venue and performances just get to me like few concerts can. All the things that encompass a real ,not always perfect, but ultimately uplifting life are present in Paul Simon's music and Paul and band bring it in full here. This brings me great joy!
I'm totally with you my friend. Something very special about this gig. It's my favourite concert to put on when I'm cooking dinner for a friend, having a glass of wine, or enjoying a late summer's evening, I just hit play and enjoy the pure poetry.
My favorite PS concert. I snagged it about 15-years ago from usenet and burned it to DVD. This is his best band I believe he ever toured with. Thanks, saved me from hooking up the DVD player!
Amazing!!! What a beautiful set! This venue has hosted some beautiful gigs over the years! I am jealous of those who have had the privilege of seeing such great music there. Brings tears to my eyes! Ray Lamontagne's gig here was also so beautiful!
Sorry. As we exited the venue out the back door there was a crazy lady waiting out the back with a folder of papers, shouting out that Paul Simon was her father. And that he had done the deed in Denver. He didn’t say anything until just before the hotel then muttered “ I’ve never been to F*****g Denver….”

I was his driver for that concert. Great evening. There's a great back story to it too. 😀
Would love to hear the back story if you have the desire to share it 🙂🤩☺
Still waiting on this one 😆😁
