For everyone stumbling across Victor Wooten, not only is he an incredible bass player. He is also very well spoken, you should listen to his seminars or talking videos in general. Words of wisdom that's healthy for your mind!
Who makes the guitar stands!?!? I and thousands of other unworthy bassists are convinced that all we need to be Joe is bass stands and a good chiropractor for our necks…

FIX YOU, really has helped me & millions of people to FIX their life in so many different ways. 🤘🏽
He's not more popular because listeners, especially young people, have been so conditioned to listen to shallow, meaningless rubbish, often with women performing in their underwear. Most shallow, ignorant generation yet. Today? -- a Joni Mitchell would be largely ignored while so they can go see Taylor Swift sing vapid fake love songs and change her outfit a half dozen times during her show.
NO. 1 Benefit of going to shows where the artists fan base is music nerds: The audience can clap on time and without a drummer.
Beastly lick in there free of charge
Tiestos remix of this song is phenomenal

LETS GO 🎉
I was there 🫶
The music fan's equivalent to your favourite superhero making a surprise cameo in the latest Marvel film.
The dude at 00:29 to his mate saying "I TOLD YOU!"
This was such an amazing moment!!!❤
That ripple of excitement through the crowd at 00:25 when everyone slowly realises what is happening
Jacob just waves his hand and the crowd comes in like a top notch choir. Absolute scenes. If I ever die without going to a Jacob Collier concert I deserved it.
IMO...The greatest song ever written.....The greatest song that was ever sung !!!
Chris Martin's week be like: Friday - Release 'All my Love' masterpiece with Dick Van Dyke and Spike Jonze Monday - Surprise Jacob Collier on stage at the 02 This man is timeless
To whoever is listening to this song now, wherever you are.... Sending you love, peace, healing and all good wishes. May your life be good ❤
Back at you 😊

Just a reminder of what people together with music can create.
Fix you released in 2005 - 20 years later still making magic and bringing people together...
Who makes the bass/guitar stands?
Such a beautiful version of this song. So much feeling in her voice that it gives me shivers when I hear it.
Talk about an old soul voice... I appreciate also how experimental and artful Ray been with his brand of psychedelic folk albums.
Regi's harmony is simply amazing,i wish could understand his idea of how to play such incredible chords
Meh
He opens his eyes now! I saw him play the Hollywood Bowl in 2011ish and he never opened his eyes nor spoke a word between songs 😂😍❤️🔥🥵 God I love him.
Ray always helps me feel calm on those days when you just need a little help 💜
The first thing i do when step into my care trun on his muziek hi make my day begin whit a smile God bles you
I plucked a feather from my tail Write you a letter babe, but I can't find a well Ain't got no parchment or pen Feel like a rooster baby, without a hen Well, I'm a Roadrunner Running down that road again Roadrunner Honey, catch me if you can There ain't no coyote in sight I'm howling at the moon Yeah, and I can't sleep at night My little darling, can't you see Your whispers louder than the highways calling me? Well I'm a Roadrunner Running down that road again Roadrunner Honey, catch me if you can I hope the next gig ain't too bad Picking through seeds at the bottom of the bag Ol' Solly Levine's on the way Laying down the white lines and I can't turn away Roadrunner Running down that road again Roadrunner Honey, catch me if you can Well I'm a Roadrunner Running down that road again Roadrunner Honey, catch me if you can
That little smirk at 3:10 makes me think that she’s fully aware of the meme and is completely fine with it lol
Where are we? What the hell is going on? The dust has only just begun to form Crop circles in the carpet Sinking, feeling Spin me around again And rub my eyes This can't be happening When busy streets A mess with people Would stop to hold their heads heavy Hide and seek Trains and sewing machines All those years They were here first Oily marks appear on walls Where pleasure moments hung before The takeover The sweeping insensitivity of this Still life Hide and seek Trains and sewing machines Blood and tears They were here first Mm, what'd you say? Mm, that you only meant well Well of course you did Mm, what'd you say? Mm, that it's all for the best Of course it is Mm, what'd you say? Mm, that it's just what we need You decided this Mm, what'd you say? Mm, what did she say? Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cutouts Speak no feeling, no, I don't believe you You don't care a bit, you don't care a bit Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cutouts Speak no feeling, no, I don't believe you You don't care a bit, you don't care a bit Oh, no, you don't care a bit Oh, no, you don't care a bit Uh-uh, you don't care a bit You don't care a bit You don't care a bit
Baby I have been here before I've seen this room, I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew you. I've seen your flag on the marble arch But love is not some victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah There was a time you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? Remember when I moved in you The holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
SHOULD BE RELEASED AS AN ALBUM!!! Gorgeous songs and arrangements.
I'm a-gonna buy me an acre of land Yes, I'm gonna build me a home with my very own hands Gonna dig me a little garden And watch that garden grow And take it slow Take it slow Let it grow I'm a-gonna find me a high place to stand Then I'm gonna find me the girl, gonna take my hand Gonna have ourselves some children Watch those children grow And take it slow Let them grow Take it slow I'm a-gonna buy me an acre of land Then I'm gonna build me a home with my very own hands Gonna plant me a little garden And watch that garden grow And take it slow Take it slow Let it grow
I want to live my life by these lyrics. It is poetry. Philosophy.
Driven on down into the alley To see what the cat drug in Larry faced down in the trash can Jimmy got the shakes again Jimmy, what you doin' with yourself, man? Jimmy, how's it hangin' kid? What's Larry doin' in the trash can? Jimmy says he's looking for the lid I got to get me a buzz I got to get me a buzz of some kind Just to lift these worried blues off of my worried mind Skippin' on down to see my Hannah She got the red dress on Do what you want with your kettle jar, mama Don't you blow the saxophone Skippin' on down to see my Hannah Give her there's a dollar bill She said, "Give me four more, you can close that door Do with me what you will" I got to get me a buzz I got to get me a buzz of some kind Just to lift these worried blues off of my worried mind Papa said "Son, you take a nickel Lay it down on the track" Papa said "Son, now you take a nickel It'll be one-half a dollar when you get it back" Papa left mama with nothin' Nothin' but a kitchen sink Ninety pound hog, feel like a dog Whole lotta mouths to feed I got to get me a buzz I got to get me a buzz of some kind Just to lift these worried blues off my worried mind
Sometimes I win And sometimes I lose And sometimes I can't help myself Sing the talkin' blues I've been raised up, misdirected Lost and a-looking for some kinda sign I don't know whose life I'm living But it sure ain't mine Keep on telling me I got something to lose One too many holes in the soles of my shoes Kicking around town Oh so heavy with my hobo blues Roof is a-leaking and my floors are all old Pickup won't run some fort to carry me no load Been handing me a nickel I turn around And they ask me for a dime Don't know whose life I'm living But it sure ain't mine Keep on telling me I got something to lose One too many holes in the soles of my shoes Kicking 'round town Heavy with my hobo blues Nine days on a riverbed Nine days in the can Nine days with my aching head And legs just won't stand I've been drowning in a gutter Blinded by this railroad wine Don't know whose life I'm living But it sure ain't mine Alright Keep it up
Mama says that blue jeans They ain't fit for a lady My mama says the barroom That's no place for a child Annie takes to nine ball Like a dog takes to lazy She'll drive the boys crazy She'll draw a fine line She's a roadhouse girl And that's all I'm a-sayin' After all, there ain't no law Against you havin' a good time A roadhouse girl And I ain't complaining She might be crass, hard to please But she's a good friend of mine She got soft emotions But she don't let it show none She sure as hell won't let you know, son Lest you take your time I've seen the very best of 'em fall But she don't take no shine to you at all She'll just kick your ass at pinball And let you buy the wine She's a roadhouse girl And that's all I'm a-saying After all, there ain't no law Against you having a good time A roadhouse girl And I ain't complaining She might be crass, hard to please But she's a good friend of mine She's been thrown One too many times All the love that she has known Is the hardest kind Her mama says that blue jeans They ain't fit for a lady Her mama says the barroom No place for a child But Annie takes to nine ball Like a dog takes to lazy She'll drive them boys crazy She'll draw a fine line She's a roadhouse girl And that's all I'm a-saying After all, there ain't no law Against you having a good time Roadhouse girl And I ain't complaining She might be crass, hard to please But she's a good friend of mine Oh, she might be crass, hard to please But she's a good friend of mine
She's a-floating like a peach upon the water Shining like a jewel in the sun I told her that I love her and I want her I told her she was second to none Well, I give a little kiss and then I splash some Yeah, she give me little kiss and then she dive Skinny dippin' with the one that you love When you're happy just to be alive Skinny dippin' Skinny dippin', oh man Skinny dippin' I got to do it again Skinny dippin' Skinny dippin' oh my Skinny dippin' Gotta give it a try There's minnows in the shallows and they're ticklin' Yes, there's minnows in the shallows and they're bold They're nibblin' on my kneecaps They're nibblin' all on my toes Well, you can let yourself fall like a cannon ball You can jump around funky like a toad Or lay on your back like a lily pad Just float around, nice and slow Skinny dippin' Skinny dippin', oh man Skinny dippin' I got to do it again Skinny dippin' Skinny dippin' oh my Skinny dippin' Gotta give it a try She's a-floating like a peach upon the water Shining like a jewel in the sun I told her that I love her and want her I told her she was second to none Well, she looked at me like I was just a wing nut She looked at me like I was kind of sly I said, "Now keep your cool, this ain't a cement pool Got the weather and the bright blue sky" Skinny dippin' Skinny dippin', oh man Skinny dippin' I got to do it again Skinny dippin' Skinny dippin' oh my Skinny dippin', day trippin' I gotta give it a try Skinny dippin', day trippin' I got to give it a try
Got to get back on the mountain Got to get back on the hill With my dog-eyed country woman She know how to cure my ill Ain't it just like Adele Go on and change your name So now I got to call her Carmen But I love her just the same Give yourself over And over again And I'm tired of starting over Yes, I think my days Out on the run are coming to an end Got to get back on the mountain Got to get back on still With a bourbon whiskey freezing If you got time to kill I got to get back on the river I got to get back on the land Get myself stoned A little down home Even if it's second hand Give yourself over And over again And I'm tired of starting over Guess I think my days Out on the run are coming to an end Got to get back on the mountain Oh yeah Got to get back on the hill I got to get back on the mountain Got to get back on the hill
Well, I wish I could change your mind Wish I could change your mind But you're gonna go leavin' me behind I wish I could change your mind Everyday I'm feeling, oh, so lonesome When I look into the mirror Wishing that she could be, oh, so close And maybe just a little nearer If you got a hand to hold Hold on buddy, don't let it go 'Cause it's your heart when your love turns cold And you've got to change her mind, yes You've got to change her mind, well I wish I could change your plan Wish I could change your plan But you got your arms around another man I wish I could change your plan Everyday I'm feeling, oh, so lonesome When I look into the mirror Wishing that she could be, oh, so close And maybe just a little nearer If you got a hand to hold Hold on brother, don't let it go 'Cause it's your heart when your love turns cold And you've got to change her mind, well You've got to change her mind, yes You've got to change her mind
Well, I'm goin' down that road feelin' bad I'm goin' down that road feelin' bad Well, I'm goin' down that road feelin' bad, honey bee And I ain't gon' be treated this a-way What I got gon' sure bring you back What I got gon' sure bring you back What I got gon' sure bring you back, honey bee And I ain't gon' be treated this a-way Well, they feed me on cornbread and peas Feed me on cornbread and peas They feed me on cornbread and peas, honey bee And l ain't gon' be treated this a-way When I'm down here in this valley on my knees Down in this valley on my knees I'm down here in this valley on my knees, honey bee And l ain't gon' be treated this a-way Yes, I'm goin' where the weather suits my clothes I'm goin' where the weather suits my clothes I'm goin' where the weather suits my clothes, honey bee And l ain't gon' be treated this-a-way I'm goin' down that road feelin' bad I'm goin' down that road feelin' bad Goin' down that road feelin' bad, honey bee And I ain't gon' be treated this a-way
She lifts her skirt up to her knees Walks through the garden rows With her bare feet laughing I never learned to count my blessings I choose instead to dwell In my disasters I walk on down the hill Through grass grown tall And brown and still It's hard somehow To let go of my pain On past the busted back Of that old and rusted Cadillac That sinks into this field Collecting rain Will I always feel this way So empty So estranged? And of these cut throat busted sunsets These cold and damp white mornings I have grown weary If through my cracked and dusty Dime store lips I spoke these words out loud Would no one hear me? Lay your blouse across the chair Let fall the flowers From your hair And kiss me With that country mouth So plain Outside the rain is tapping On the leaves To me it sounds like They're applauding us The quiet love We've made Will I always feel this way So empty So estranged? Well I looked my demons in the eyes Lay bare my chest Said do your best To destroy me See I've been to hell and back So many times I must admit You kinda bore me There's a lot of things That can kill a man There's a lot of ways To die Yes, and some already did And walk beside me There's a lot of things I don't understand Why so many people lie It's the hurt I hide that fuels The fire inside me Will I always feel this way So empty So estranged?
Leavin' in the evenin' sun I think I'll roll myself another one I'm just thinkin' about you Yes, and I'm a-thinkin' about you Closin' on the interstate line I hit the river and I'm feelin' fine I'm just thinkin' about you Yes, and I'm a-thinkin' about you I'm just thinkin' about you Standin' in the drizzlin' rain I hear the wailin' of the coal train Just thinkin' about you Yes and I'm thinkin' about you I know a place to go I sit and listen to the water flow Just thinkin' about you Yes, and I'm a-thinkin' about you Yes, and I'm a-thinkin' about you Anything you wanna baby Don't you know I'm gonna give it to you? Anything you wanna baby Don't you know that I'm a-gonna sign? Yes, I know you love me And I know that you know that I love you too 'Cause girl, it's only when I think about you I find the strength to try I find the strength to try Anything you wanna baby Don't you know I'm gonna give it to you? Yes, anything you wanna baby Don't you know that I'm a gonna sign? Yes, I know you love me And I know that you know that I love you too Oh girl, it's only when I think about you I find the strength to try Yes, I find the strength to try Girl it's only when I think about you That I find the strength to try Yes, I find the strength to try
I still can't feel the gin Though the air has grown thick Yes, and the room, it does spin Here she comes again With her eyes like flames Yes, and her silk-like skin She can't keep no rhythm And I can't count no time She's the best thing that I have seen In this joint tonight All I want to do Is, woman, just to dance with you All I want to say Yes, is, "Woman, could you walk my way?" Oh no, where will I go Tomorrow, tomorrow Tomorrow, I wake up alone Jukebox is jumping all over that country blues She lets down her hair and slips off her shoes Maybe she's just a little too high Maybe she ain't got that much to lose You cannot deny that the way she moves All I want to do Is, woman, just to dance with you All I want to say Is, "Woman, could you walk my way?" Oh no, where will I go Tomorrow, tomorrow Tomorrow, I wake up alone Tomorrow, I wake up alone
Oh, good woman left the porch light on Big boned Sally won't do me no wrong Now that's a woman that I sure do love to see Big boned Sally got the turkey on the table Big boned Sally got the mashin' that potato Sweet cornbread, red ripe tomato, a bowl full of garden greens Yes, that's my big boned woman A big boned woman A big boned woman got a big ol' hold on to me, yes Big boned woman Gonna save my soul from ruin Big boned woman got a whole lotta, whole lotta, whole lotta what I need Big boned Sally in a long flannel dress That's the way that she can love me the best She got big brown eyes put your poor heart to rest But your soul that wanna dance and sing Big boned Sally I love her so much Sweet sugar smile and a honkey tonk touch Oh good lord, you got to find me a crutch 'Cause I feel a little weak in the knees Yes, that's my big boned woman A big boned woman A big boned woman got a big ol' hold on to me, yes A big boned woman Gonna save my soul from ruin My big boned woman got a whole lotta, whole lotta, whole lotta what I need Oh, good woman left the porch light on Big boned Sally won't do me no wrong That's a woman that I sure do love to see Big boned Sally got the turkey on the table Big boned Sally got the mashin' that potato Sweet cornbread and red ripe tomato, a bowl full of garden greens Big boned woman Big boned woman A big boned woman got a big ol' hold on to me, yes Big boned woman Gonna save my soul from ruin Big boned woman got a whole lotta, whole lotta, whole lotta what I need Big boned woman got a whole lotta, whole lotta, whole lotta sympathy
I love you, baby Yes, you know I do And I need you woman Yes, and you know that too But you run around on me And you treat me bad Always talking about me And the bad times that we had Well, that ain't no way for you to treat your man Not somebody who loves you like you know I can Everybody got a weakness Hey, watcha gonna do Everybody got a weakness, mama My weakness is you, whoa alright I said it's you, my woman Oh and I want my life with ya I love you baby Not just a now and then But all the time Yes, until the very end But you walk out on me And you treat me dry Oh, you're out the door Not even saying so much as a goodbye And that ain't no way for you to treat your man Not somebody that loves you like you know I can Everybody got a weakness Hey, watcha gonna do Everybody got a weakness, mama My weakness is you, well alright Every morning, when the sun does rise I wipe the tears from my crying eyes And I think about you when I climb my tree And I think about you when I'm making my tea And that ain't no way for you to treat your man Not somebody that loves you like you know I can Everybody got that a-weakness Hey, watcha gonna do Everybody got a weakness, mama My weakness is you Everybody got a weakness, mama My weakness is you
Good to see Joe's head still attached to his shoulders. I worry about that boy.
I can say with all honesty that I don't think there's ever been a musician of any style or genre which has sounded as good live as Ray Lamontagne. He and Amos Lee sound just as good live (and in some cases better) as they do in their studio recorded albums. Ray is unreal good. The best vocalist since Jeff Buckley.
This song will follow me throughout my life.. through times of happiness, struggle, sadness and pure elation. When a family member or friend passes away I will hear this song, or through times of absolute joy when giving birth and becoming a mother, an auntie or a grandparent. This song will see me through light and darkness, happiness and sadness. You hear 10,000+ songs, melody’s and lyrics in your lifetime but not many tracks touch your soul in the way this man did for me. Thank you for the music Ray. I hope I hear you on the way to the pearly gates 🤗
i really think he is a verry important artist helping to preserve a genre of music thats fallen by the wayside and forgotten by corporate music. the first 20 seconds has more substance than every song played on the radio in the last 24 hours.
I saw this guy live many years ago. The performance completely matched the music. Just a guy sitting alone on a undecorated stage with a guitar. He seemed so timid and shy in between his song the "thank you" was almost inaudible at the applauding audience before starting the next song. I sat there as every part of my life was melting together in that chair listening to his songs and I felt a sheer bliss I have never felt before or since. Life made sense in those 90 minutes.
