I went to see my doctor. ‘Doctor, every morning when I get up and look in the mirror… I feel like throwing up. What’s wrong with me?’ He said, ‘I don’t know but your eyesight is perfect.
"Are you trying to look through my clothes?" "I'm trying but it's tough,I can't see through polyester". From that point,I knew it would be good.Good harmless humour. Sure do miss it.
Here's the thing about jokes, snowflake. Once the joke has been done, it's been done. Anyone who tells the same joke again is ripping people off. That's why good comedy tries to avoid repetition.
@MorbidManMusic it's a weird comment that I haven't seen everything that was on TV the year I was born? That's not weird dude, you should probably try to relax and be a little more positive
Rodney Dangerfield as a superhero is the thing I never knew I needed to see... Bill Murray as the villain makes it perfect. God I wish this was a movie.
"Let's get high furst". That part at the end is my most favorite part. I dunno why. Just a superman like person who isn't a complete asshole, or a virtuous hero. It just really tickles my like bone.
If I remember right about this time in the 80s Rodney Dangerfield career had an upswing. He was doing movies left and right. Making guest appearances and this was from a short lived comedy show on I think it was hbo. Or maybe some other network. Not clear on what it was called.
Clark Babin I recall hearing that Rodney tried his hand at comedy for several years and couldn't quite break out. So he sold paint at Sherwin Williams for a while. But he missed comedy so his wife told him to try it one more time. Rodney changed his material to 'I get no respect' ; thank God that worked out. Can you imagine Caddyshack without this idiot?
I can't believe I didn't see this when it originally aired. Two of my favorite comedians (long list) from that time. Must of been getting high instead 😂
Rodney was one of the greatest ever.
@Daniel M. Catalfamo Are you off your meds again?
Poiy Vgtrd med med you need to take.
Not in this sketch
old rodney dangerfield joke: "my wife is so ugly when she enters a room the mice jump up on chairs". classic!
Or, “she’s a double bagger, I wear one on my head, in case her bag breaks.”
our marrage counsler said she just wants us to be happy. i said i don't want to be happy. i want to save our marrage.
have no idea if he said that.
"Take my wife for instance....pleaae!" ---Rodney Dangerfield
"I want to go somewhere. I want you to take me to a place I've never been !!! How about the kitchen ?!"
I went to see my doctor. ‘Doctor, every morning when I get up and look in the mirror… I feel like throwing up. What’s wrong with me?’ He said, ‘I don’t know but your eyesight is perfect.
Holy hell how and why have I never seen this?!
"...I did call, I got here first" what a great line xD
Not a great line...
Would've been better with an added phone call after they'd left saying he's on his way. 80s comedy skits were pretty shamefully awful.
Faster than sound
Are yall kidding, that sh1t was hilarious
@@CrazyBrick30 everything we have now is shamefully awful. This was actually funny
Even more hilarious was the fact that Rodney was kept off balance the whole time he was in there talking to her lol.
It looks like some of that was deliberate to add to the humor, note how he also flies unsteadily compared to Bill Murray.
You literally can't beat Rodney and Murray together
"I did call. I got here first."
*PHONE RINGS*
"That's me!"
I remember seeing this in high school. Two of the GREATS in comedy together. 👍
M Hos wow I’m jealous. I was born in ‘82.
This sketch if in the 90s would’ve been a full length film
It....it was
@@danielfee33 IT WAS?!
Rob Schneider is....a superhero.
Or if it featured more cowbell
It would have sucked worse than polio.
You could barley notice the wires.
killergoverments. Lol
killergoverments lol, barley? How did grain get into the context?
The wires are there on purpose, for comedic effect.
@@RemoteIndigoIndex yeah they definitely chose the most obvious looking wires on purpose
What wires?
Rodney was the best, his humor never gets old
Lol,when they are fighting you can see Bill Murray trying to cut Ridney's cord 2:33
we all seen that, no need to act like your the only one who niticed it
I SAW it, GET IT?!? HA!!!
Empire Lifts Back I’m sure not everyone SAW it so Cut it out with the attitude

@@heydude4532 then wtf were u watching if u didnt see it, did u just listen to the video?
“I’ve been there every night this week...there’s nothin’ goin’ on.” 🤣
Been watching Rodney's stuff lately my God he was a legend so underrated I had no idea how great he was .
I like to think this is symbolic in a way, because both these guys are superheroes of comedy.
"Are you trying to look through my clothes?"
"I'm trying but it's tough,I can't see
through polyester".
From that point,I knew it would be good.Good harmless humour.
Sure do miss it.
Dan Bartko: 👍🗿 TOTALLY AGREE. That was "the part." 😅
Good harness humor..😄

Valerie Perrine from the 1978 Superman movie. She played Lex Luther"s girlfriend

What is this, and why have I never seen it? 😂 RIP Rodney Dangerfield one of the best comedians to ever do it!
Probably SNL or one of its copycats
Two comedic LEGENDS.
R. I. P. RODNEY
That ending is legendary
What pair. Also must of missed this bit back in 1982. Crazy but funny, miss you Rodney.
Ditto!
What EXACTLY does MUST OF mean?
"Great idea, let's get high first".....😂
This is too funny, the fact he holds onto his wires like swing is hilarious
Underrated straight line: "That was this morning. What about this afternoon?"
2 Icons in muscle suits just plain classic!

So refreshing!, actually funny, talented people on SNL. Oh!, the good old days.
This isn’t snl
Caddyshack is still one of 4 movies I have been more than willing to buy twice
Holy crap this came out when I was born, I had no idea there was such good stuff back then! Classic.
Comedy was good up to the 90's, then it turned into PC liberal trash.
Just look at SNL, it was good up to 92-93 then began catering to the sheep.
Look at Laser's comment. That's why

Still better than Dawn of Justice.
If Gal Gadot wasn't in Dawn of Justice I would agree with you.
Or if Gal Gadot was in this skit I would agree with you.
Yawn of Justice.
I would take this 3-5 minute bit over a three hour plus Avengers movie any day of the week.
And a derpy derp to you too.
still better than the whole dceu so far, including their "best hits" shazam and wonder-boring
It's interesting how many people see Bill Murray and think it must be SNL. I can't even imagine how confused they were by Charlie's Angels.
Rest in peace Rodney!!
Noel Fermin and RIP to Bill Murrays career
That was awesome seeing these two together.
Vallerie Perrine was a really hot piece back then.
She was hot in Can't stop the music

A couple of comedy legends....right there. Hilarious guys....the Polyester gag is brilliant.

I wonder of the image of Rodney with black hair made anyone else think "Rob Schnieder's dad"? : )
I was thinking the same thing!
😆
I'm done, I never saw that bit before. R.I.P. Rodney Dangerfield
Went to Peru and still has nose bleeds.
Sad that these are still better effects than DC uses in their movies today.
Aaahhhh....Valerie Perrine❤❤❤❤
this is why comedy was invented. to laugh at the stuff that you normally wouldnt laugh at. RIP rodney.

When Radner, Chase, Curtin, John Bellucci, Aykroyd were gone, so was SNL. SINCE THEN IT SUCKED A PERFECT VACUUM. still does.

Tarantino decided one day to display Rodney's acting power, I for one left quite shook
Oliver Stone did Natural Born Killers
