    Here’s one tip to make this way easier. You can actually double click the display in the program monitor and drag it- it will change the x and y so you don’t have to drag those numbers back and forth. As long as the correct clip is selected in the timeline, it will work! Happy editing.

    I know its been 3 yrs but are their any AI or plug in extentions that can follow the ball? I see you've done a video where you mask selected mask forward to create a text box that follows which is cool but wondering if PPro has any AI or extensions for this soccerball trick Thanks again

    I watched a video where they do this much easier with After Effect, but I don't really want to pay extra for it. I did it the same way you did except instead of using the rulers I made a simple title layer with a X and I put the X exactly in the middle. Then I keyed the frames the way you did, and delete the title later. Unfortunately this is a pretty tedious task.

    Well im using it to track oncoming motorcycles on the trail. As they come at me I like to zoom in and do a quick pause up close. Some like it when they show up on someone else video on well known adventure routes. Thanks.

    I have done this effect several times but in between frames the ball I am filming looks a little glitchy. I’m sure it’s because of the camera I’m using, what camera do you suggest or what features does a camera require to get rid of the glitchy-ness? Thank you !

      up the shutter speed on your camera. that gets rid of the motion blur.

    Thanks! I'm looking for a way to do a similar thing. The camera man is doing a little panorama shoot, and I want to zoom in and keep the center at it's place. Is there a better way than this work?
    It's a very "slow" clip, nothing happening in it really, but I want it to look like the camera is fixed.
    Any ideas?

    Your video is great but I think that what i've done so far will affect the object center effect. Hi Javier, I'm going to be using this effect with a moving and clapping baby. I also want to change the color of the back of my moving and clapping baby but I don't want to change the color of the baby, I want to keep the baby's color original. Is the object center effect work for a moving baby which I want to move with the motion at an original maintain color? Not sure if I'm saying the above description.

    thank you for this, bro this tutorial helps if you have a lot of motion blur. You gotta adjust all your settings on your camera to eliminate motion blur in order to use it on After Effects or it won't work as well. Thank you!

    Can I use this on footage that has warp stabilizer applied? Its a hand held shot of a wine bottle. Warp Stabilizer is usually enough. However the camera tilted a little left or right in one spot. So its now a smooth tilt, but I want to eliminate the tilt altogether.
