Back with a review. I made these and they turned out wonderful! I wondered if I could, because I'm not all that practiced with breads, but these were so much easier than I'd imagined and fun too. It wasn't all that time consuming either. My husband really loved them, definitely will make these again. A big hit around here, thanks very much happy baking!!:)
Fantastic, Karen! I knew you could make them. ☺️😊🥰👩🏼🍳 It’s always great to make the other half happy as well! Aren’t they so fun to make? 😁 Get used to this dough as I’ll show a few more cute recipes you can make with it. If you double it, you can toss it in a tin and make a loaf of bread with it. 🍞😬
It really is a great dough to work with and build skills with in general. I like that it’s a small amount of flour. And you can really tinker with it. For example, crack an egg into a measuring cup, fill the remaining with milk to get 3/4 cup total (usually around 1/2 cup.) See how the dough compares with just one minor difference.
@@Jacksonsjob thank you and I think the 3 braids is perfect and not confusing 🤪 And when you said Lukewarm I thought is that Luke's middle name but I'm guessing Luke Sweet🤗instead
🤣🤣🤣🐈⬛🐾🥵 Too funny! I have another “braid” I’m trying to get up next week. By the way, Luke is a bengal. He is actually illegal to own in several states. He’s part wild animal (leopard cat) and he’s a bit of a handful! We rescued him at 4 months old having no idea what it meant to own a hybrid. He did over 4K worth of damage in his first year with us. 😭😭😭 He’s definitely not sweet, more like saucy. He’s going on seven and just now calming down to act like a domestic kitten. 😳😁😆🐈⬛🐾
I really appreciate you preffering affordable ingredients ❤. Whenever i see a video using 4 egg whites or insisting on a lot of butter, I go nope can't do 😂
I’m the same way! So many recipes ask for such expensive ingredients and in excess when they aren’t even needed or add much to the dish. I remember seeing a chocolate chip cookie that asked for an entire vanilla bean, a pound of expensive chocolate and gold leaf. I’d need a second mortgage for that cookie. 😆 By the way, if you ever want to use margarine instead of butter to save more money, all of my recipes have been tested with margarine as a substitute. Unless i specifically say it does not work, it will substitute nicely.
@@Jacksonsjob Ah the audacity of that chocolate cookie 😅. Thank you for your recommendation and always replying to comments. Still can't believe how your channel hasn't blown up ❤️
Nabeela, thank you for the kind words! I like the fact it’s small as it’s affords me time to connect to lovely fellow bakers such as yourself. 😊👩🏼🍳 Have a lovely evening.
Perfect timing, it's coming a flood here we've decided to stay home so I can try this. :) They look adorable, don't they? Emma's comment reminded me of what my Mother would say, she quipped, "How warm was Luke?" Haha she was a funny girl. Thank you for all these amazing tutorials!! You're a doll.:)
Gosh Canola oil is no longer cheap due to the Rus/Uk conflict. Prior to the conflict it was 7.88$ a gallon, today the best deal is now 17.88$. A litre is just under 8$.
Unfortunately, prices do rise and things are becoming expensive everywhere. We are feeling it, too. You can use any type of cooking oil that’s affordable, shortening or lard in equal amounts.

@@Jacksonsjob I look forward to that! So far this has been my favorite dough to work with....almost fool proof. (which I sorely need) haha

@@Jacksonsjob That's amazing and he looks like a regular cat I'm so glad you and Earl kept him🏆
He’s called an F4 so he’s mostly domesticated. Just wild enough to cause trouble. 🤣🐈⬛🐾🐾🐾

Stay safe from the rains! Emma is a doll like you. You’ll enjoy chatting with her I think. Hahah. Your mother was clever! And you are welcome. 😊
