I've become a fan of .327 Magnum. It's easy to control in a small revolver, and the ballistics are nothing to sneer at. Keep getting the word out so more people will buy these guns and convince ammunition makers to bring the price down.

Oh, feel free to send your brass to Randolph Co. I have .32 dies. 😊

I can attest that the more you shoot that Taurus, the smoother it’ll get and the better you’ll like it.
I bought an 856 stainless steel .38 Spl snubby in April 2023. I’ve got about 1400 rounds thru it to date. It’s just become smoother and crisper shooting after breaking it in.
I actually prefer it to my rugers and S&Ws.

@daveaver2804 It will never be a Smith trigger but he is right, the trigger does get smoother the more you pull it and wear it in. My 856 Defender +P three inch snub is like that. It is smooth in double action and will stage but the DA is a little on the heavy side. No stacking on mine. The pull weight is consistently the same throughout the pull every time. The single action breaks light and clean. My 2 cents and yes I have shot plenty of Smiths and owned one or two.

S&W is coming out with a alloy, j frame 32 H&R in the next couple of months they announced it at shot show, It may be the ultimate deep concealed carry revolver. Skeeter Skelton and Elmer Keith both praised the hot loaded 32 long for small game hunting. the long had a reputation as a target round when bullseye ruled the target game. Thanks for posting, your going to run out of guns if you don't pace yourself.

I'm hoping the Ultimate Carry series eventually leads them back to the .327 in a J frame. Gonna be pretty expensive (scandium) or heavy, though. By the way, last I heard was end of February/beginning of March for the Ultimate Carry revolvers, so it's closer to a couple of weeks than a couple of months strictly speaking, but the first wave may be hard to come by. I put in a word with my local gun shop that I was looking for that 632 in stainless; we'll see how it goes.

Welcome to the 327 rabbit hole. I paid $605 for my LCRX and I think you'd appreciate it's very smooth trigger, compact size and light weight. The 327 fed's immense bark intimidates some I feel due to the pressure wave in your face. 327Fed is a heavy hitter and 100 gr federal soft point American eagle are ferocious and give gold dot like mushrooming without a hollow point to clog with material and cause expansion failure, I get a little over 1200 fps out of my LCRX, over 1300 out of my 3" SP101, 1550 out of my 5.5" single 7 up to 2100 out of my Henry rifle. Enjoy.

So I've ended up finding a forum that has some sort of Taurus rep posting there, and it sounds - at least as I understood it - that the Taurus lock is often only put on guns that *might* be purchased in Brazil as sidearms for private security. Maybe guns that are for hunting as well? In any case, neither of those apply to the 327, the 856 (6-shot .38), and 605 (5 shot .357).

I have a Charter Arms Patriot 327. Stainless steel, 21 oz empty. Official specs say 2.2” barrel but measures 2.5” from the barrel to cylinder gap. Full length underlug. Locks up in three places ala the original Smith & Wesson first model hand ejector “triple lock”. 6 shots hotter than any 38 Special +P. Close to 90% of 357 in velocity with similar bullet weights. Paid $350 for it several years ago. Not quite as high quality as the Ruger SP101 but half the price. Trigger DA is OK.I think much easier to shoot than the 13oz Ruger LCR. The extra 7 ounces definitely helps reduce recoil and getting back on target. If I didn’t already have the Charter I’d consider the Taurus.

Bought a 327 Fed Mag Ruger LCR several years ago and carry it in a Desantis soft pocket hoster. I carry it most every day in my front pocket while working on the farm. On a tractor or using a chain saw no issues. I was wondering why you chose the Taurus over the Ruger before I watched your video. Yes, big cost difference. I don't know that I'd pocket carry the Taurus with the hammer. But never tried one. My wife's gun of choice was her 32 H&R Mag Charter Arms I bought back in 84. I've known so many ladies that bought or were given 38 specials and had a hard time shooting them, especially if they were a little older. This is the gun that they should be looking at and use good 32 H&R ammo. Or even 32 Long. I've never had an issue finding that ammo. Thanks for your video.

I have this handgun in an earlier model, it is blued, 2 in and came with a laser installed when I bought it used about 10 years ago.
After that I went all in for the .327 Fed Mag
I picked up a Ruger Single 7 and a Henry Big Boy both in .327.
I have dies and a loader set up and ready for powder and my time.
The snub is much more comfortable shooting 85 grain or less in .327.
I usually carry .32 H&R mag in my snub and save the bigger stuff for my rifle.
    .32 H&R feels like a .38Spl to me.
Now to my rifle, WOW! is not enough. This lever action is smooth personified and shoots like a laser.
I would only go up to whitetail deer or smaller game for this round.
The Single 7 is a sweet single action based on the Ruger Single Six.
A super sweet and fun lil smoke wagon.
    Keep up the good work.

I really wish the 32 caliber revolver would have a resurgence. Ammo is pricey. I think there is a market for a revolver between 38 and 22 for the more recoil sensitive. Of course, 327 is hotter but It can still shoot ( I think) its weaker cousins.

I got one of these a few months ago had to order the High front sight to get it to hit point of aim at 15 yards. And I replaced the springs to get a better trigger pull. Holster wise it is in between a J frame and a K Frame more like a Colt D frame. I have large hands so I got a larger set of grips.

Like my Taurus 327 magnum revolver,3"stainless and a ported barrel, excellent pistol, bought it new, and i was looking for a 32 magnum revolver, but the gun store manager brought this out, and said it is a 327 magnum revolver but it will shoot 32 magnum and 32 long and short
, bought it, and one of the best deals and definitely decisions i made, paid 289.99
Ruger SP 101 327 magnum were higher prices, almost 400.00, and I don't have much experience with Ruger pistols
But some people like them and some do not, same with Taurus 🐂, but I have a lot of experience with those pistols and revolvers, also have a 4" 65 stainless 357 magnum revolver and also a excellent choice and shooting pistol, have various calibers in Taurus semi auto's and other pistols in various calibers and brands, have several in 45 acp 1911a1 , another favorite pistol, have carried various calibers in the military and law enforcement, have some various calibers in the cold war era pistols in 9x18 Makarov and CZ 52 that are excellent shooting too

I’ve shot quite a bit of 327 out of a Ruger LCR snubbie. It can be a pretty powerful round depending which you get. Not quite to 357 mag level but more than 38Spl +P. 32 H&R mag is definitely a lot less recoil. There’s lower recoil ammo in both and hotter like Buffalo bore in both.

32H&R is more like 38 special when loaded by normal manufacturers and like 38 special+p when loaded by boutique manufacturers and 327 federal is ballisticly more like a 9mm+p and touches the low end 357 magnum level when loaded by the boutique manufacturers like Buffalo Bore.

The pressures achieved by the .327 rivals some rifles.

I do wonder if there is a slightly more ‘up market’ contender…im not rich, but it s my life that will be in the balance, so any suggestions on a 6 shot 327 magnum, preferably with barrel between 2.5 and 3 inches, please don’t keep it to yourself.

I believe Charter Arms makes one. I like the older Charter stuff, but I had a Bulldog 44 Special off the newer variety. After 2 trips back to the factory for light primer strikes, it left the stable.
The only other I found was the Ruger LCR, and I ain't paying $700+ for a plastic revolver. That being said, the LCR has a great reputation, and I believe there may be a 3" option.

I agree…a ‘plastic’ revolver doesn’t instill the confidence I’m looking for, and I really would like to see my firearm go ‘bang’ every time I pull the trigger, so no Charter Arms for me…
Hmmm, I guess it ain’t easy to find a proper small revolver…yet, perhaps I’ll see if I can try out an LCR, and see how it feels like…

For quite a while this gun was high on the wishlist, but now it has dropped, simply because we are now looking at .32acp instead...we carried .38s for years, trust revolvers, but getting further into our senior years small, lightweight, lower recoil firearms becoming very attractive...sure, .32 s&w long would be okay, and the h&r entirely adequate, but a p32 weighs under 10 ounces, and every day double that weight becomes a minor chore...of course, if the gun appears under the Christmas tree, I will be happy to feed it, but yeah, we're thinking lightweight these days...

You have a lot of pauses in your speech that you use the term "uh" no doubt without realizing it. If you get a chance to watch the above video, keep track of the pauses and you will see quite a pattern. I have taught in many academies and had to be very mindful of this issue with my own presentations.
On another note, if you get a chance to try out a Ruger LCR 327, please do. The Ruger is pricey but the trigger works so well that I think it is more than worth it (especially since I bought it for my wife).

After a few hours work I got it down to a reasonable pull of about 6.5 lbs. Before, it was well beyond my digital trigger pull scale. Taurus really needs to improve their DA weights, not to mention quality control. Test ALL the cylinders, Taurus!!!
