I have a sig p365 and S/W shield 9MM, got tired of expensive ammo, and now love this 22 for the range. Fun gun to shoot, easy to handle, love the price of rim fire ammo!
I just pick up a p22 to introduce my daughter to shooting. Great gun I ran several brands of cheap ammo and expensive ammo and it ran them all flawlessly.
I love my p22 it's so fun to shoot and I love how easily concealable it is. My first gun is the all mighty Mossberg 500 12g shotgun Thank you for the video. I thought it was well made and very professional you definitely earned a subscription
My first gun was a Remington Nylon 66. That was over 50 years ago. I too own a P22, and it is right on up there with my favorite .22s. My carry piece now rotates between a Kahr PM40, a P80 Glock 27, and my Walther CCP. Just depends on the feeling of the day. Safety? Put it on, lower the hammer, take it off, and you have a double action first shot. There you go.
My first gun was a 20 gauge shotgun my Dad bought for me when I was a kid. My first pistol was a Ruger Standard .22. I still have it and love it after almost 40 years later. It taught me good trigger control and it is still a tack driver, but still a pain to put back together, lol.
Hey Jacki... Great review and embarrassingly enough the only 22LR pistol that I had ever owned was an old Beretta 948 that I picked up at a gun show for almost nothing. I ran a couple of magazines through it for a function test and then had it refinished in electroless nickel. it looked so good that someone offered me a pretty penny for it so I sold it! My 1st Handgun was a Christmas Gift from my Dad, 1971... S&W K-38 Masterpiece Model 14, 38 Special 6 inch, TH, TT, TS that I still proudly possess in seemingly like new condition ';-)
I think the P22 would make an excellent gun to teach new shooters the basics. My first handgun was a Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 Mag. I won it in a raffle, and still have it. The first handgun I bought was a Kimber 1911. While I’ve carried the Kimber a few times, I have others that I prefer.
I thought about getting a Walther 22lr pistol. I like the fact that 22lr ammo are inexpensive and fun to shoot. Still, I will get one. My very first gun was the S&W M&P9 shield . This gun is also fun to shoot. Thank you for an informative video.
Thanks for the review. Seeing a lot of mixed reviews between this and the Ruger SR22. Wanting something light as a backup for my very heavy 9mm. Something about it, but the P22 just feels way better in my hand than the Ruger.
I really like my p22 alot for what it is..cheap to shoot and fun too..my first gun was a Smith and Wesson bodyguard 380..the p22 in double action trigger mode reminds me of the bodyguard
My first firearm was a Stevens 410 bolt action tube fed model 39a that I got for my 12th birthday. I still have it. I have a Walther P22Q much like the one you showed in this video. So far I haven't had issues firing and cycling the action on the range. Something interesting though, when trying to simply attempting to cycle the action manually without firing I do get double-feeds and failures to eject.
Good video thanks. FYI, the Walther P22 QD has a decocker when you put it on safe and then you can put it back on fire so that your first shot would be double action and all subsequent shots would be in single action. I have this version and still sometimes carry it when I require deep concealment.
My first guns are 10/22 and browning buckmark contour, then my 2nd round purchase during the pandemic, I bought a Chiappa Rhino .357mag 40DS, 9mm recoil for 357mag and .22LR recoil for .38 special, low recoil with higher power than 45ACP, and then my 3rd purchase were with a 9mm Springfield Armory XD-9 OD Green, and an AR15 complete lower
My 1st Gun Was S&W 357 magnum 2 1/2 “ barrel and I couldn’t hit the side of a barn fast forward many years the Walther P22 was added to my collection just because I wanted a plinker and didn’t want to go broke at the gun range 😂
Since it's a single double action if you don't want to use the safety you can just leave it turned off. Load it, racket, then use the block safety, lower the hammer, eject your magazine to top it off, slap it back home and turn the safety off. Ready to rock and roll, The fairly long double action trigger is your safety and single action after that.
My first gun was a Taurus G2C and my second a Walther P22.. I carry the Taurus but it’s kind of heavy.. I would like to carry my p22 but i Don’t like the fact that the hammer has to be all the way back. Is there a way I can carry it with the hammer in place and one in the chamber?
I recently purchased a P22 for all the same reasons that you said that you liked. I just have a simple question. Do you advocate carrying this gun as an edc. I am over 70 years old and hand strength is subsiding a bit every day it seem, but the P22 is a dream to shoot and I think it will do very well as an edc.
I'm not her, but a rapidly dumped .22 will do a hell of a lot more than empty threats or a swinging cane/walker. I'll pack one until I can't lift it anymore.
Mine digest everything I feed it out of the box....but federal 36grn hp's were the least liked in this gun a little polishing of the ramp and chamber may fix some users issues with ammo, excellent choice for ccw. 22mini mags would be my choice in this little baby for carry.

Haha! I understand the pains but it is a good little gun.
I learned to shoot on a P22. My concealed carry is now a Q5 match.
lol
I love love love my p22
I was just thinking about getting this gun for the Mrs. Cause she wanted one and was thinking about the P22 (latest gen).
It's a great little first gun to ease into shooting with!

In the market for one now, really hoping the one I find is that fancy military green.

Did yours come with 2 different style clips? One looks like the grip and the other doesn’t? Love the gun thou!
Mines did
My first gun was Makarov. Still most reliable gun ever.
I saw Ruger has a SR 22 that has a 6" length instead of the 6.3.... Have you heard anything about this?

Why it is not working good
You're beautiful jackie! 😍😍😍
"Lol. Is that a 22? How about your 22 vs my 45."
@s he had a black powder revolver in his pocket
US Police statistics shows more people killed by .22 vs any other including 9 mm.
First one was a rifle Winchester 3030
I want to see you fist plinking it😆
Regalamu una por.fa ...😊😃👍
Watch out for the safety, it may not work.
