3:50 capacitors leaking do cause damage over time; however if you use vinegar to neutralize the acid and remove the leaking caps, you can leave it as a future repair project. I don't understand why he kind of fear mongered leaky caps, a lot of people don't understand how cheap a cap replacement it and how it's only damaging to your system over a long period of time

3:05 - That’s actually a Low-Pass Filter, not a Comb Filter. LPF smooths out low frequency noise in the video signal. A comb filter separates color and brightness information from composite video and typically happens inside your analog TV while it converts composite back into something to drive the CRT natively (the electron guns don’t take composite).
Ya, I definitely prefer composite over S-video & Component when it comes to TGFX, SNES & GEN games, due to Composites softer image it helps smoothen and blur the pixels, giving the characters and environments a more natural cartoonier' aesthetic, plus it's super nostalgiac. Heck, I even prefer RF over composite solely for NES games. But once you get to Dreamcast, Gamecube & Wii it's component all the way. Still, I haven't tried out S-Video or Component for Saturn, PS1 or N64 just yet. Wonder if the crisper/clearer image(aside from the big advantage of contrast, no color bleed and more vibrant colors of component) would actually be beneficial with all 3 when you factor in just how rough Saturn, PS1 even N64 3D polygons look these days. And I need to get on that TurboDo R(or RX) with a Region Switch mod. I haven't seen or touched a TGFX-16 since 1990 when it was showcased at my local malls game store. Playing Bonk's Adventure for the first time after being so accustomed to the NES was super impressive, same deal with Keith Courage when he was hacking enemies up in his samurai get up. XD

Before I got a scaler with a SCART input (like this video) I had one of these SCART to component converters and connected this to my retrotink. I have had one of his Duo-RX for years now. The only negative is the flash cards don't work it. In your video it says the flash cards work on yours, so he might have figured out how to make them work. Other than that, its amazing!!!
did you burn your backups using the .CUE file? You'd get this file when extracting the zip folder of the game of your choice if you download it from the internet.
Unfortunately no, you'd still need either a Super SD System 3 with an original TurboGrafx/PC Engine or the original console. Hopefully someone makes a compatible hucard one someday......

His prices are less or near the same as 3 years ago. I paid $269.99 total for a fully re-capped and region modded PC Engine Duo.
