The Turbo Duo is early 90‘s but the base system PC Engine was released in 1987. Came before the Mega Drive/Genesis and was competing with NES and Mega Drive. The system was a 8bit / 16bit hybrid.

    Riveting, a real page-turner, etc...
    -Entertainment Weekly
Also, populating that lil board all by yourself! You are a horn-dog. So much energy and baby skills. I can't even populate a sea monkey tank*
*sea monkies were marketed by a white supremacist. That's why comic books stopped advertising them. He was practicing sea monkey segregation by separating all the colored sea monkeys from the transparent monkeys. Imagine a different timeline where sea monkeys weren't sold by a racist: we would have had red, blue, orange, brown, purple sea monkeys! They would have been slightly less crap! Amazing!

Very nice! the value of these systems has sadly never been low, even a faulty unit (because they almost always need their capacitors replacing) tend to still be expensive so I don't think I'd want to mess with modding one too much, thankfully recapping them is no more challenging than any other system once you're confidant with surface mount capacitors.

Thanks Sparks. Yeah, they are still really expensive, so I was a bit nervous working on this one. I made sure that anything I did was reversible so that it can be put back factory if needs be! 👍
