I love the Lexus grill, I think Lexus and Audi are the ones who are really good at making big grills work. Thanks for a great Video!

I'm on my 3rd RX, first RX Hybrid... It's a 2011 and runs perfectly. I hate to get rid of it, but I think I'm going to have to trade it in and get one of these beauties! Great review buddy.

Thomas, I've been waiting for your review of the new RX. Your review is always my favorite. With that said, I love the color of RX; unusual but mysterious and exotic. RX makeover is worth the money to buy. Like what Toyota did for the new Prius, I like the new RX. I wish Toyota made this RX with a BEV power version instead of the Lexus RZ450e.

Never been a fan of Lexus SUV exterior design (especially didn't like the front grille) but this RX looks extraordinary. I like this new interpretation of the frontal part a lot. Rear also looks nice and clean. On another note, is it just me or this video seems to be a bit dark? 🤔 Anyway, top content as always 😉

Wished I could afford the new RX 350 esp. w//triple beam headlights…my 2013 is giving me problems that I just can’t afford to fix them all..but this new model is a superb SUV that’s totally dreamy! All I do is dream of a new one!!
I'm not sure about the decorative part on the body colour but I do prefer their grille not wrapping around and meeting the bonnet like on other Lexus mdoels.
This Lexus grille looks way better than the cheap and nasty plastic fantastic modern BMW grilles.

No. There’s a rumored Lexus TX/Toyota grand highlander coming model year 2024. That will be 3 row crossover.
The infotainment system is totally upgraded from new Highlander, and the car doesn’t look luxurious at all with that system design.

BMW's big grills splits people with love or hate. Lexus looked at this and thought, we can do better, bigger mosquito, bugs, leaves housing, might even fit a child 😁
I’m wondering if the new Toyota designs won’t have any problems with the homologation looking at how sharp the front designs are. Imagine getting hit by this car at - let’s say 50kmph. That sharp edge of the engine hood will cut through your guts like a Japanese knife.
I always say it. They’re too conservative with it again !! Why would you not go with something quicker since this is a sport car ? 4.2 or 4.5 seconds 0-60 sounds way better to me.

I was at the LA Auto Show and I find it offensive from Toyota that we were not allowed to get into the new 2023 Prius. Also, Mercedes and BMW were not at the show!

As a chauffeur, the main reason I chose the Audi Q7 over the RX was for more interior and boot space - I'm disappointed that the new RX doesn't appear to be any better, not to mention there is no 3 row version available yet. Also - I have been told that the wait list for the RX here in Australia will be *TWO YEARS*, once orders are being taken!! Astonishing.

In my opinion, Lexus vehicles have always had a grill that is over the top and detracts from the appearance. I agree that the new grill is too much and with the rear tail light bar, it seems to be the new design theme from manufacturers. Not my cup of tea.

I'm sorry Thomas, I just don't get why you are so opposed to leather. Afterall, there are hundred of millions of cattle out there and we need to do something with the skin otherwise it will be disposed and cause huge carbon emissions anyway. Indeed, the so called cloth trim is made from polyester or equivalent which is made from oil or gas. Also, leatherette is made from oil, so not very climate or emission friendly.

In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which exact body part you would be murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse?
The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination.

For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex or Desertex or Miriam). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. By ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) %. So it is the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable.
In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And if you want the slick look or something to wipe clean easier, that is possible with animal free leatherette, even in ventilated options.

It's funny how 195cm grown man always test the rear middle seat for comfort. I do not know how it is in Europe now but in the US for the last 30 years I have never seen 5 grown up adults in a car together. I have never seen 4 adults either. May be a mom and a pop with two kids ...but 5 adults ... please.

I like interior design of RX, but I don't like exterior proportions of RX. I liked more if it would have real SUV characteristics. Because they say it's an SUV. I realy don't understand why some modern SUVs have smaller and smaller ground clearance, like this RX has too. And very, very big front console resulting in very, very small front angle. And big rims and stiff suspension. This is nice for sports cars, but not for SUVs even for dynamic ones. Or, if they really whant to make cars like his, don't tell them SUVs anymore.

they used to say the same about the first generation of NX: their grill is too much. This RX is sich a master piece regarding the design.

I have rx 450 2022. If you don't know what crossover design is, and if you are used to the idea of having suv, don't buy RX. Crossover means internal space is too much sacrificed for miles per gallon. Trunk space is a joke, while unused space under the windshield is spacious. It is like hatchback sedan lifted up. Having experienced owning, I hate that now. Second row seats not completely fold down either. It stops at tilted position eating up scace space.
2022 version gps software is also tedious and not user friendly, sometimes give incorrect locations by address. For example, you would have to press unnecessary confirmation ok buttons, while some other times you don't have chance to tell the voice recognition that you are just having conversation with person next instead of giving commands. It will move to a different screen, and I had to begin my search from the beginning. Annoying.

This is most Toyota Highlander RX generation that has ever existed, that horrid center stack and unresponsive ui is Toyota in the worst way.
