Quite frankly, this is one of the best sci-fi horror movies ever made, just fantastic.
So not a horror as none of it was technically scary? Action yes, horror? Get a life 🙂
Total recall and demolition man tie
Idk, aliens is up there too
What about event horizon?
100%
In 100 years from now this movie WILL STILL BE TALKED ABOUT!!!! What a masterpiece of a film!!!!
I watched a programme recently where they were rating movies and the panel rated I am Legend as a better movie than Predator 🤦Stupid millennials
our future kids will see it no excuses
In spite of all the reboots this is still the best Prefator film.
No doubt
Prefator?
@@NationalYouth677A predator with a preference.
I agree, but Predators with Adrian Brody was really really really good though.
@@bad74maverick1 stop talking
This movie is scary, beautiful and sensational.
The best action movie ever made.
For me it was Die Hard 1988.
@@moviesandpopcorn2958Die Hard was Bruce Willis. You’re thinking of Danny Glover in Predator 2.
@@russelllangworthy8855 No, for me that Die Hard is the best action movie of the 80's.
Which, by the way, was also made by John McTiernan.
I didn't say anything about Predator 2. 😂😂
@@moviesandpopcorn2958 Die Hard was/is a great movie. I don’t know if I can agree about it being the best action movie of the ‘80s. I think a strong case could be made for Aliens.
Agreed, I've seen this movie at least a dozen times and again last night. Still pure entertainment.
This movie doesn't age ❤
😊it's aged, but like fine wine. 🍷 🥂
@@ragingjaguarknight86Holy truth!👍
Yes only people who watch it age
wrong. It ages like fine wine.
I love Stephanie McMahon she's a bomb
30 plus year later, and this movie is still ahead of its time.
.,
ALAN SYLVESTRY BGM is EXCELLENT!! ALAN SYLVESTRY did BGM also in Gene Hackman-Sharon stone Western " THE QUICK & THE DEAD" (1995) and " The night at the Museum 1 & 2 !!!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely bro ,this movie was released before my birth, but what amazing technology used in that movie & especially technology of predator
It has to be the best action/scifi movie ever. It's perfect.
Jungle set, music, the actors, the originality of the predator, infrared vision, the suspense, the credibility of these tough soldiers being scared. It hasn't been done better since.
Originality.
That's an unknown concept in today's cinema :,)
Pretty sure that gong goes to Aliens
Aynen öyle herşeyiyle en iyisi
Terminator 2
Stars aligned when they made this..
It's sci Fi. It's horror. It's action/military. Beautifully shot on rough terrain. Music is brilliant. Superb Practical special effects. Great cast. This film is special
Predator is also an incredible musical masterpiece from the bongo drums, the trumpet and brass theme during Mac's soliloquy to Cooper's death, The Predator theme, and the piano jagged notes throughout and during the end credits.
It gives the film an otherworldly emotions. Goldsmiths Rembrandt.
The theme is realy classic in its own
Damn near all Arnold’s movies had the same score lol
Да точно сказали
It's so timeless, the orchestra music, jungle, soldier gear and dress code, you forget this was 1987!
It's crazy how Billy could sense the predator or maybe he's the type to feel the eye's watching him...
If you listen carefully at 1:24 you can hear the predator mimic Billy’s laugh, so Billy probably heard this and thats how he knew the predator was watching them.
God
that is a duck, not the predator laugh, lmao @@Auronplay12_BlockmanGo
He is a Native. He is in tune with the Earth. He knows when something isn't right.
Yes humans have a natural ability to feel something staring at us....same way we can tell if Jinns are present...and we lose that ability depending on how we live. Billy being Aboriginal has kept in touch enough to figure this out. It's beautiful and scary
Because of Jaws...I'll never go swimming in the ocean. Because of Predator...I'll never go into the jungle or New York.
Predator 2 was in Los angeles
@@Domantoes For real??? All this time I thought it was NY because of the crappy subway system LOL
@@antoniotruong5647yea I watched it yesterday. At the start of the movie, they wrote that the place is Los angeles 😂
Not so afraid predator like russian invaders
It's not like the predator is climbing the Eastern Columbia building or something..
What was great about this movie was that the director basically decided to "fuck it" and place every stereotype out in the open, and it's what people like. The American Indian being the scout and being able to sense the Predator, the leader of the mercs is a big muscle dude, the CIA guy has a private agenda, the skinny nerdy guy handles the radio, the lady is a non combatant, and so on.
The movie is full of stereotypes, and I love it!
[lol] Your comment is so funny and true! The thing about this movie is that everything is honed to perfection and simply clicks. It's just a superb movie.
They were no mercs.
Bang ON !!! Musta watched this movie like 50 times !!!
@@dariosandoval5140Dutch and his team were a private military team. Basically mercenaries.
Actually back then, they weren't stereotypes yet. They were simply what the people wanted (and still do). It's way the golden age of movies and music is behind us and we'll never get back to what made movies like this and HEAT so good. Movies took time to introduce characters, set the scene, build suspense. Now days it's instant CGI and pacing issues through the whole movie.
Another example of how an excellent musical score can elevate a movie.
The tension in this scene is so great that no matter how many times I watch it, I think it's a great scene that gets through to me
Great shots of the jungle .Vivid and intense .Music fantastic
Billy should've been more concerned about Dutch walking up behind him with his weapon pointed at him and his finger on the trigger 😂
correct! I did noticed the same thing!!!
well dutch was flagged right next to mac when he was talking to him. like yiiiikes
How he gonna notice that if Dutch behind em....lol. smh
Definitely one of the BEST action movies ever. Well directed, acted, produced, written. Even to this day Excellent. Saw it new in 1987 in the theaters. It was jaw-dropping from start to finish.
I hadn’t scrolled completely. I thought someone had done an EXCELLENT job putting young Stallone and Schwarzenegger in a movie promo together.
Honorable mention to whomever got this high def version out into the world. That ish looks like it was released in the last 10 years instead of almost 40 years, ago.
Even in 50 years time this movie will still be an all time classic.💯👍🏼
Can y'all imagine the predator's reaction?
Imagine you spying on the humans, just knowing you can't be seen, only for one of them to turn around and creepily stare up at you,at the exact spot you're perched in,Predator had to have been slightly tweaked out with chills because the one standing infront of him was Billy Sole!
30 plus years and still blows modern scifi movies away.
Damn. I wish they still made movies with the skill and suspense like this one.
Facts 💯
They could, they just don't want to
@@JohnnytNaturalnah i don’t think so! I think they already gave up making action movies !
@@Donatello1z yes because the new generations doesn't care about such things, they have the attention span of a gold fish and even when watching movies they're on their phones, thus all new movies need to be superficial
Badass movie Billy's Terrifying Laugh: Within the film's diverse group of formidable soldiers, the character Billy, played by Sonny Landham, brings with him an essential element of primal fear. However, it is not just his imposing presence that sets him apart. Billy's guttural and spine-chilling laughter adds an extra layer of terror to the story.

Still rewatch this every year. John McTeirnan is such a great director
Yes and he's sadly missed.
They were all rightly so scared mentally on the situ, then Billie brought the spiritual fear into the equation.
"And it ain't no man" that hit deep.
Just one of many one liners this classic movie produced.
The ensemble of contrasting characters of the team played it's part in elevating this movie to greatness.
I recently showed Predator to a friend once and it was his first time watching it and he was surprised how many famous one-liners came from this movie.
And I also learned that this movie was what spawned the hand held mini-gun concept. And the prop seen in this movie is used in several other movies after it.
Especially when he said he was scared.. it takes alot to scare a Native soldier that bad
I lived in the woods when I went to see this movie at night, when I got home I unconsciously caught myself glancing up into the trees.
haha

That music is one of best ever. It just fits so perfectly
Rest in Power Carl Weathers 👑
One of the best sci-fi's ever.
the quality on this specific video is outstanding
The quality, I used to watch this on a VHS..... world's apart. Oh and the best action Sci-fi of its time. Never gets old. Can still watch it today.
Legend has it...there's still something in the tree
Should have won an Oscar in every category.
Billy was right, something was in those trees. This movie is still fun to watch. It's amazing how they make the feeling of fear build in intensity.
Great Predator movie in 1987. 😊
When people ask me my favourite movie, I say predator. Lots of people are surprised. Then I find out they haven’t seen the movie. Just an incredible movie on so many fronts.
Still one of the best action/suspense movies I've watched.
in front of the camera, the actors doesn't act, they are living..and the background score are really 🧨🧨🧨
These guys were all awesome in real life. Complete badasses on film. One of the best casts ever in film.
You can see the predator in the trees!!!! The HD is insane!!!!!
I can’t see the predator on the trees.
@@83-sc1sj The HD is absolutely terrifying!!!! I actually loaded it up on my big screen TV to confirm and the predator is right in front of them…. 😮😮😮

Where the hell is it, dude? It seems that only you saw the predator.
gotta love the awesome orchestra accompanyment. really adds some suspense.

of all the action movies of this era, the score on this one holds up the best IMO.
One of the best action movies ever produced!
Randomly found this three-minute clip on TH-cam and I'm all of a sudden 8 years old again at the theater in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Billy knew something was up
I remember being a little kid and watching parts of this movie, one scene I remember was the fight scene between the predator and dutch. as an adult now I seen this movie several times and here I am again watching these clips in my work truck during lunch. this is probably one of my favorite movies of all time
Arnold, Carl Weathers, Sonny Landham, Bill Duke and Jesse Ventura what a line up.
Ain't got time to bleed.
the alien, terminator & predator sci fi trilogy of the 80's!
What about blade runner?
@@trevorjames4619 one of the goodies but not on the same wavelength as the alien-terminator-predator trinity.

EXCELLENT MOVIE IN 100 YEARS !!
Yes 😢
💯
Whoa whoa whoa! Stupid clowns in ridiculous costumes? Is that a dig at comic book movies? Because I agree 😂
The predator was wearing a costume. That wasn’t an actual alien.
Best Sci-fi movie ever made.
music orcester of backround is insane in this movie
such an engrossing, unique story. never get tired of watching it.
36years of this movie amazing ❤❤❤

Still watching it,even if i watch it several times.soo exciteted.
A movie for men and only men 💪🏾 💪🏾 💪🏾 💪🏾 💪🏾 💪🏾. The background score, direction , screenplay, action sequences is just 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Now.. When you say "Men" do you mean
Men or Trans or Identify as a man or........................
REAL MEN ............SOLO MEN
LOL
Great suspense build up with the team and trying to figure out what is stalking them in the jungle.
This is great direction placed into this action movie
Alan Silvestri's musical score is excellent!
Chris Hewitt of Empire wrote: "Predator has gradually become a sci-fi and action classic. It's not difficult to see why. John McTiernan's direction is claustrophobic, fluid and assured, staging the action with aplomb but concentrating just as much on tension and atmosphere... A thumping piece of powerhouse cinema."

The movie is a masterpiece in many aspects!
Predator and BIg Trouble in little China will EVER be my favorite movies!
The hand shake at the start is epic. Absolutely amazing movie 👏🏻
Arguably the best soundtrack in a movie ever. Gladiator was good too.
I have a collection of movie soundtracks. It all started for me with Star Wars.
Even how much new technology comes the thriller and the realistic of this movie cannot beat , I was 10 when this movie came out I still enjoy every moment I watch this
Billy is the closest thing we'll get to Rambo in a Prime Arnold 80s movie
I’ve watched this film 9 times. I love the scenes were the eyes of the character are so dominant, piercing through the night.
Right amount of muscle power, action, horror, comedy and sci fi story
I always get a kick out of the story that they had to hire a bodyguard for Sonny.....to protect people from him!!!
The music and the beating of the heart made us tremble when we first saw this movie. Legendary stuff. 🙏🙏🙏
This movie is a unique masterpiece in every regard!
One of the greatest Predator franchise \m/
"There's something in those trees" makes me want to run for my life.
If I can find it I will post it in the comments here , but in the 1800's a short story written that perfectly described the creature In predator. The creature had the same attributes. Just have to remember the book . It was actually a short story about a man being charged for murder but the creature had actually killed the man
Dude this looks incredible! You've done such a killer job here AND with Aliens as well. 👏👏👏
Thank you. Always nice to hear. Especially this week. It was a week with many setbacks. Have a nice weekend.
?
Imo his Predator version looks better Aliens were unnatural sharp for me.
That 4K UHD HDR even made it's way onto my basic old school 1080P monitor..
As an Indian one of the very first movie that blown me, a cult masterpiece
When I was a kid this movie was my Habit
Alan silvestri made his best music score in this movie. The music is so in sync with the story line and the tense action sequences.
"What's got Billy so spooked"?
"He's a nut job"😂
Billy: I guess it's nothing major.
Narrator: It was actually pretty fucking major.
If I was teaching film school. this would be on the homework watch list. it's that good.
Everytime the Camera goes to where the Predator is in the forest , that "Windy" noise the Predator makes before going to his point of view , is so creepy and spooky ...Awesome movie,my favourite movie of all time , Hands down...
Sonny Landham, who played Billy, brought along a bodyguard to be on set with him. When asked, "are you here to protect Sonny from the crew?" The bodyguard answered, "no, I'm here to protect the crew from Sonny".
He laughed at that thing big time.😂😂😂😂😂
One of my top favorites an the greatest movie of all times
I always loved that Billy knew more than the rest of the squad. Every character held their own till they died. Classic
This was one of the most terrifying scenes in the movie
My favourite movie of all time hands down❤ After watching it for the first time in 90s as a kid. I had literal nightmares
Como bien la definen ,la mejor película de ciencia ficción
do you know what i find amazing?
originally, this film was going to have arnold schwarzenegger going up against the predator alone. he said that was a bad idea. the script was then rewritten as a crack team of commandos up against the predator.
crazy how a few words from an actor changes the course of things.
Good luck finding a cast like this in all of hollywood these days.
Dutch played by tom holland
Thank you Arnold, i was 20 years old when i saw this Film
I love the build up to what happens next. Slowly the characters and audience finds out little more. Curiosity peaks, and suspension builds
You can come up with so many predators but there is only one that people remember after 36 years
Yep this movie is a masterpiece. Out of any comparing and time.
Sadly Sonny Landham(Billy) passed away 8/17/2017 at age 76 from congestive heart failure. I remember him in small bits and pieces in other films b4 landing major roles. 1982’s 48 Hrs as Billy Bear got his career going big time. May he RIP. Great actor.
