Arnold reloading the shotgun while on the motorcycle is one of the coolest things in movie history.
Gun was specially modified so Arnie could do it one-handed like that. That's how much they cared about getting such a great shot.
Guess you missed "True Grit" and "The Rifleman"...

Arnie almost slapped the boy in the face with the end of that shotgun.
One of the best chase scenes in cinematic history!
The best ever for me had everything excitement got your adrenaline pumping a fight and gunfight foot and vehicle chases explosions stunts absolute masterpiece
It's up there for sure, but for me the original Bullett chase is still the king. Also the end chase in Deathproof.
Non-stop action
The Matrix Reload Chase also
I just said this, it truly is!
In my opinion, I think Michael Bays Bad boy 2 car chase was the best.
Although, I haven't seen many, so I'm still open to opinions.
Seeing this in the theater was an experience like no other. Being old has its perks.
I was twelve when it opened up....like John!....I was totally in his shoes....the people in theathre knew it was gonna be big but man oh man...NOBODY expected THIS!....when T-1000 started morphing on screen people acted like they ve just seen a fucking U F O!....AND NOT JOST THAT...FROM FIRST FRAME OF T2 TO ITS LAST it was just a neverending rows of WOW, WOW, WOW AND THEN SOME!....I will tell my grandchildren that this, Aliens, Predator, Die hard ect. were something that will never be repeated....when everything was done in camera and was often dangerous and potentaly fatal to shoot there were legends like McTiernan, Cameron, R. Scoot who refused to give up their vision and gave their all for adrenalin macho no brakes, no pc no woke and no pg13 crap to make films that will be cool a 100 years from now....damn that black truck haunted my dreams!...Its scarier than any monster or wild bad beast that just won t stop!!!....Godzilla!
Ahh, man. That would be awesome. I wish movie theaters would showcase old blockbusters like these more often.
Some cinemas near me still play some older movies. I went and saw the Godfather recently was bloody amazing.
I was 23 when I saw this in the theatre. I was in "heaven".
I was born in 89. In recent years my local cinema put on T1 as part of a film festival, and a few years later did the same for T2. I have seen both movies literally countless times. Two of the best cinema experiences I have ever had.

I really wish action stars would be more willing to do their stunts like Tom Cruise does. But I understand a lot of people don’t want them to because of the risks and repercussions if something goes wrong.
I just noticed something. The Terminator is carrying a bouquet of roses. He pulls out a gun. "Guns" and "roses". "Guns and Roses". GET IT!!!😀😀😀
But he wasn’t in the paradise city or welcome to the jungle 😂

Omg yes
😂 yes
Over 30 years on this is still one of the greatest movies ever made and still better than most action films today.
I love how t1000 seems to be a relatively nice cop until he locks on the target. That absolutely cold evil non blinking stare and punching everyone out of his way. Freakin badass
Can we all acknowledge that until Arnold says “get down” and shields John, everyone literally thought he was the bad guy again and the cop was the new Kyle Reese.
Not if you saw the movie trailers first.
Wrong because we watch the T-1000 murder a police officer at the beginning of the movie
Let's not overlook how good of a friend John had... That's a friend you don't want to lose!
Yeah 😂😂
He's my favourite character in it
Buttnick
No lie I wish we knew what happened to him. I can imagine how worried he must of been since that was the last time he ever saw john again
@user-wx5cl1ub2p this is the funniest comment I've seen all day
Nerd with the glasses immediately rats out John 😂
Which is why the nerds always got bullied in the 80s
James Cameron's attention to detail in action is what makes his stuff so great. If you watch Robert Patrick when he first starts firing on the Terminator in the hallway; he doesn't flinch. This apparently took a great amount of practice to achieve. But Cameron was insistent, as he said a machine would not flinch.
Brilliant.
Patrick pulls it off. He never flinches anywhere in the movie. He practiced a lot at the gun range so he wouldn't blink his eyes as he fired off his shots.
He also did that sprint in the garage without indicating any exertion or strain for the same reason.
As a man you should be doing this all the time because you have balls
As opposed to Mel Gibson on Lethal Weapon...he closed his eyes & jerked on every single shot 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He flinches at 1:55, not that it matters, but cool down on Mel, please
Robert Patrick gave one of the best supporting actor performances of all time in this film. Everything from his stiff body language, to his emotionless yet still determined facial expressions. There's never been a better depiction of a killer machine from the future than his! Everything about it is 100% top tier acting!
I met him a couple of times, one of the coolest down to earth celebrities to chat with. Especially this movie and other movies he did.
Also he actually dedicated enough to train so he wont be exhausted and gasped for air while running
Call to John now!
As a 9 year old when I first watched this movie, I actually thought they made a robot to play his character.
He was the reason for the success of Arnie,
Arnold and Robert have one of the coldest looks..
For sure, both are stars
Hands down the best Terminator movie of them all!!!
This is pure genius to make this scene so true. James cameron was great to make Arnold and Robert fight each other as cyborgs.
umm...they are pure robot not cyborg
And so begins the greatest chase scene in film history. Thank you, James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Patrick and Edward Furlong
The creators of the matrix trilogy would disagree
@@Ms.honesty007 Well, that would make them liars and hypocrites
if u look close enough you can see the stunt doubles! on the dirtbike and for arnold while drive around the truck
@@Knebebelmeyer LMAO. And? I'm glad they got some screentime. They work so hard and take so many risks. It's just a reality that actors need trained professionals to do some of the more risky things on camera. I hate that they replaced Arnold's stunt double with a CGI composite of Arnold's face
@@LukeLovesRose oh yes, you absolutly right about that guys..
i dont want to blame them, i just talk that u can notice that!
When I saw this film as a kid in the movie theater... the audience reaction was through the roof!
The moment Arnold flew off the ramp with his Harley, landed and dodged the T-1000 truck, people in the theater were cheering and clapping! The whole time I was silent, stunned, and on the edge of my seat like
The way Cameron shot the scene when Arnold pulls the gun out of the box of roses is so thrilling! The way the Camera pans up with slow motion to Arnold stoic face. I love it!
Guns N' roses 🌹
I love the fact that John Connor was playing a war game and was actually good at it, considering the fact that he was supposed to lead the resistance against Skynet. That is great detail.
there were a lot of details payed attention to John Connor's resilience and skill. He is no helpless kid, that's for sure.
fighter pilot
Iirc, video games were part of the training, after his mom was taken.
After Burner from Sega.
The fact Robert Patrick trained to run that fast is INSANE. I use to think it was tricks being used to make it look like he was that fast. He really was that damn fast.
Correction - He was FASTER than that! Initially, in the first few takes, he caught the motorcycle. 😮
He had to dial back a bit. 😅
I *highly* doubt that that's actually true. And if it's a joke... damn it's a bad one!
@@ChandlerSomboraci think it is true
from 3 23 trough 3 28 there is no big distance between them .if edward didnt use much acceleration at first , i reaally think Robery catched him
Robert Patrick also trained to sprint without breathing for +10 secs. Watch his style!
This scene is itself a history
Awesome
I have seen thousands of times
And every time I stunned
re: "thousands of times" = do you "exaggerate" much in daily life, too?
no Action film reach the level of terminator 2. A Masterpice in all aspekts.
James Cameron never fails to deliver quality movies
titanic ?
I love the part where they match strength and the T-800 has to test it before resorting to more. Amazing detail
Same. Cameron establishes early that T-1000 is the bigger threat despite Arnie's muscles and bad-ass style.
The novel says that Terminators aren't meant to fight each other, so they had to calculate their options 😉
And yes, the T-1000 has a higher density, that's why he keeps up with the mass of a T-800 though it doesn't look like it.
Unparalleled action film of all time, except Arnold Schwarzenegger nobody else in this world can do such a marvelous film, I had watched it innumerous times
That bike sound was amazing 🤩
The feeling of going to a sequel and getting more than you could ever expect must have been really priceless
I can assure you, it was.
and T3?
It was!
Terminator 2- Judgment Day is the first ever movie that I had watched in my life. It takes me back to 1996, when I was a very young boy, watching this movie on a black and white TV. Even today, this action movie never bores me, whenever i watched it on my laptop computer. Arguably the best action or sci-fi movie ever 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The TVs we had in the 90s, not the TVs we have now.
@@hectorlopez1069 exactly. 90's TV and present era TV is way different.
Love the multiple Guns N Roses references throughout T2

That shotgun reload a work of ART
The poor janitor maintenance guy.

'Get down"
@@blackhand441 You'd think after the shotgun blast, the guy would finally take heed, but I guess even that didn't get through to him. 🤷♂️
@@andrewcomments5812 that's a very good point! After the shotgun blast he really should be in a fetal position somewhere on the ground praying for life, not just standing there holding his Pepsi and popcorn. I never thought about that before.
But then he walks into the line of fire. Maybe he thought he was in a video game?!?! lol
@@beerhunter272 Exactly! What was he thinking?! Perhaps he thought the terminators were bluffing.
4:50 "You stole my donut, kid. You thought you were getting away with it. You were wrong."
4:57 CJ : "Oh shit! Now the truck's found us again!"
Going from "have you seen John Conor" to "have you seen this guy" shows the T-1000's real time evolution. Nice
The stuntwork was SO damn impressive. The truck driver falling out and hitting the street looks so painfull. Like, how the hell did he not split his skull? Amazing.
Was thinking the same. That HAD to hurt
How did he not injure his ankles?
@@FrancoM7747 not a small guy either. Heavier you are, the harder you meet the ground. Cameron only hired the VERY best. Like the chopper pilot who flew under the overpass. Just incredible people.

This scene is one of the best of all the movies I have ever seen.
Here in that first shootout nobody knew if Arnold was a good or bad terminator yet because prior to this T2 he was the one trying to kill johns mom that first shootout was the defining moment in the movie
True!
This is one of the best soundtrack of all high speed chase scenes
One of the greatest if not the greatest sci fi action films ever made.
Man I love the sound of that dirt bike
Robert Patrick was finished with Die Hard 2 which was his film debut , Arnold Schwarzenegger hooked him up with a role in Terminator 2 .
how
One of the best action sequences ever. And that frenetic soundtrack was something else.
00:30
That's a true and clever friend right there. Told the policeman he didn't know John then ran to warn him. Friends like these are hard to come by.
even tried to divert the cop in a later scene in this sequence.
T-1000: "Time to Matrix you, Traitor."
What an iconic chase scene.i love it very much. my childhood born every time I see this thriller chase❤
The film is amazing
❤
I love that Winchester 87 T-800 is rocking.
This film is for sure in top 5 best movies ever made
Man, this movie is legendary even after so many years. It feels like it was made in modern days even. And it has so many iconic scenes that you can watch over and over again and it never gets boring. Also I was always wondering, how T-1000 sees the world. Cause, you know, in first movie they showed some scenes from the eyes of first Terminator, so it would be a cool idea to do the same scenes but for the T-1000 too, with new perspective.
90' were the peak era of SFX without resorting to CGI, that's why they look good even today.
r.i.p. hollywood 🕯
Still get chills, this aged well!
The best ever seen movies of Arnold
The good ole 90s arcade 😂 this where every one went in the 90s
Spent so much money there!
@@user-mu2mp8ll6coh yeah, spending all those quarters.
90s became the 90s in 91 with this movie and Nirvana. 1990 was just an extension of the 80s
@johnpark7972 Now you put it that way, the same can be say about the Terminatior 1 in 1984. I always figured when Terminator came out, it was really the start of a full 80's genre.
One of the best action sequences in the history of cinema no cgi just cameras and stunt doubles all hail T2 one of THE best sci-fi action packed movies in the history of cinema 7:10 is insane!!!
There was definitely some CGI... but obviously a lot less than today.
Not one of the best!...THE BEST!
No cgi! Just pure real action, no room for mistakes no re-take! Thanks james Cameroon for the legendary saga of the terminator! U made us believe in heros!
Of course there's CGI. Were you under the impression Robert Patrick was dressing up in tin foil?
Lol
@@evanburrows1697 at least no green screen sh*t
This scene makes me wish I was a teenager in the 90s. Arcades truly were the most magical place as a kid, sadly I was only 2 years old when this came out but I can’t imagine how awsome it would have been to be a teen in the 90s going to the arcades
It was awesome! I’m 45..the 90’s were cool 👌
Movie was and still lit today!!!!!
#ChangeMyMind
Agreed
I dunno why but I always found the T-1000 owning those kids in the arcade when he zeroes in on John to be so funny 😂
This film is badass best film of the 90s
Terminator 2 Judgement Day is easily the best sci-fi sequel ever.
no matter how many times this clip gets reposted on various channels. this is always a rewatchable masterpiece.
Robert Patrick was the perfect choice in this movie, loved him in the X Files too.
I'm over here mentally kicking myself wondering why I don't have a physical copy of this amazing movie yet. A Blue-Ray, DVD...hell - even a VHS, nothing...
This movie is still one of the greatest action movies of all time, nearly 33 years later, and still ages like fine wine. As a kid, I remember being so hyped for this scene when I first saw this movie. I knew then that I was about to go on one hell of a wild and emotional ride!
I still think it's wild how neither Robert Patrick or Arnie are capitol A actors; both of them were athletes first. And Cameron got iconic performances out of both them by emphasizing their physicality.
That stunt truck drivers head when he hits the deck though. 😲
I’ve lost count on the amount of times I’ve watched this movie, it’s remains one of the best films out there and was ahead of its time.
the best
That is truck jacking!!!! 😮
Chill Down Baby.... machine is here for protect you ❤❤
Hii
One thing that doesn't get mentioned enough with T2 is just how absolutely gorgeous the sound was in most of the movie. I love watching it with good solid volume on appropriate media channels and the crispness of the shots, hits, and action is just incredible. Like when T1000 fires that Beretta at John for the first time. The sound of the gun, it hitting the Pepsi can and that distinct "pop", then the sound of it hitting Arnold's back and taking into account the metal endoskeleton
nice

A new Mack truck would never make it off that bridge, but this was the 80s. That thing would have been a TANK
It was a Freightliner, but I get your point🤣.

It was the 90s the movie was held in 1991
The most watched movie scene of our childhood ❤

The best movie of all times!
That's gta san andreas mission
He redid that role for Waynes World. I nearly cracked a rib laughing when i saw it in the cinema. 😅
In some scenes i recognize the stuntdriver... good health too him
This is back when Hollywood understood that cgi was supposed to enhance practical effects, not replace them 😊
This little boy,

@AnitaDimple - Edward Furlong ... is no longer a "little boy." Did not get any awards, other than a paycheck, with a life forever changed.
@@warriormanmaxx8991 Actually, he did. Edward Furlong won a Saturn award for his role in Terminator 2.

BEST OF ALL T Series Movies
man, that truck sure has some turbo
First 4 stroke engine with 2 stroke sound and 43 gears. Awesome movie.
Finally. Someone else noticed. He's actually on what I believe is an XR100. But was supposed to be a CR80.
Perfect demonstration of the fact that action scenes are shot "silent" and the SFX is added in post.
Funny thing is if this film was released today, the publicity surrounding it would be screaming about the "3 way chase between truck and 2 bikes" in an effort to get the viewer excited enough to see it. Bsck in 1991, they just let the film speak for itself and here we have a timeless action sequence
I always thought it was awesome how John’s friend played it cool and pretend not to know him
Remember me, my dad and mum and bro watching this back in 92.
Sitting in the seats and dad buying us all chocolate peanuts.

Fun fact; this same stretch of the LA river is also home to the most famous scene in gleaming the cube.
The greatest villain of the movie history
6:15 thats the coolest reload in cinema history
Yeah, Arnold did so great
They used CG.
Just like Chuck Connors in The Rifleman
Best movie in the whole franchise. They shouldn't have made any more after this one.
1:18 It may be obvious to those familiar with the franchise, but when this movie was first released a lot of people seeing this scene thought Arnie was going to kill him.
Yeah they make the T-1000 seem like the good guy, but the second he sees John he completely shifts.
Basically the same Sarah went through in T1. Kyle looked like a maniac to her and turned out to be her protector. So many parallels between part 1 & 2.
This scene is so pitch perfect in the pacing.
everyone forgets about how insanely important to the future of humankind, John Connors little ginger mullet buddy was.
This just might the BEST ACTION SCENE ever scripted, acted and filmed. James Cameron Sir, Hats off
I never realized just how hard the T1000 shoves those kids aside at the arcade. Especially that first kid. That alone would make the news for some severely injured children!
Rockstar really must have liked this scene since they put it in two of their GTA games
One of the best movie-scenes ever.
What I love about the foot chase scene is dude actually had to run slower for the scenes because he could actually keep up with the bike on foot, apparently he was a pro runner or something. That's damn crazy.
