have you both noticed that so far Boba Fett is building a House/Tribe of Characters that is a Outcast?.....Boba Fett Mandalorian Outcast...BK Wookie Outcast....Fennec Self Loner Outcast...The Mod Squad Gang Tatooine's Outcast's.....and since Bill Burr's Character is a bit of an Outcast of the Empire he might become a new add on member to Fett's House/Tribe and Mando is just gonna return the favor for when Fett helped Mando with the child...But i'm sure Fett will give Mando a Bonus by giving him a Open Room and Port at the Palace whenever Mando needs repairs/rest and advice/Info 🤔🤔
The reason why i say Fett will give Mando a Open Room and Port Policy at the Palace is so Mando can act as a Bridge for Fett to have some sort of contact to The other Mandalorian's out there in the Galaxy
George Lucas has often mentioned how Luke’s story arc in the original trilogy was inspired by Joseph Campbell’s “THe Hero’s Journey”.
If you are not familiar with it, then I suggest you take two minutes, google it, and become familiar with it. “The Hero’s Journey”t is a model for classic storytelling.
Luke embarked on the path to become a hero. Anakin embarked on the journey, only to become an anti-hero.
Rey, Finn, and Poe all embarked on their own separate journeys in “The Last Jedi”, and completed them by the time of the final battle scene.

Boba Fett’s motive is that he’s done risking his neck for people he doesn’t respect who don’t value him. This is paralleled with BK being abandoned by the Hutt twins.
Fun fact, if you didn't know: Ming Na Wen (Fennec's actress) is officially a member of the Disney hat-trick. She played a Disney princess (voice of the animated Mulan), was in Marvel's Agent's of Shield, and is now in a Star Wars franchise. Plus, believe it or not, she is nearly 60 years old. That is unreal to me, as gorgeous and physically badass as she is.

Another thing to consider about the mods is that, according to the water seller, their modifications are droid parts, which seemingly aren't that hard to get a hold of. Even Anakin, as a child s l a v e, was capable of getting enough spare parts to build his own whole-ass droid. After that all you need is 1 person who knows how to 'install' those parts into a person

During Episode 14 of The Mandalorian when Boba Fett arrives and gets his armor back, Fennec actually shows her mechanical parts and how Boba saved her!
I was gonna say the same thing...They showed us Fenic's new guts in the Mandalorian. I thought it was pretty obvious, but sometimes people miss stuff.

trandoshans capture and hunt wookiees for sport so that's why Black Krrsantan was so pissed, he even beat another wookiee nearly to death in order to set a trap for some trandoshan hunters.
To be fair that was to get the Trandoshans to take him to the gladiators.

They both became space faring around the same time and had many wars between them. The biggest event that stoked the fire between the two species was when the wookies were selected to represent there home system in the republic. The empire came around and made the trandoshans there representatives and that didn't help. There relationship is comparable to the war in Jerusalem right now, between the Jewish and Muslim groups there.

The reason Krrsantan (the Wookiee) attacked the trandoshans is because they have a bitter rivalry with wookies and hunt them for sport, often collecting their furs as trophies

Not just Din showing up, probably. Also Cobb Vanth. Somehow Boba had to have found Vanth to start tracking his armor with Din. Given Cobb is a good dude and a fighter, he'll probably fight on Boba's side. I'm envisioning a Magnificent 7 style teamup.
I'm not sure of the timeline, but at the end of Mando S2, he's hanging out with a few other Mandalorians that may come along...

I don’t think we will see Bo till the next Season of Mando. She is NOT a good guy. My thoughts are she will be an antagonist to Din. Her ambitions cloud her honor I doubt her intentions are just.

I'm pretty sure the reason that droid said Boba was all healed, was the show saying, "Ok, we're all caught up, no more flashbacks."
If they were going to go into the armor search, they wouldn't have jumped ahead to Boba killing Bib. The flashbacks were all in order, they're not gonna go back to looking for the armor when they showed him in it...
Now the show can move forward...with Din!... & maybe a couple of his friends!

exactly why I said the flashbacks are over later in the conversation, which will be very good for the show I think... the pacing should be improved. talking about it now, with y'all, it feels a little weird to have an a large chunk of an episode searching for his armor if they weren't going to add anything to the story of him getting it back. Getting the cool Sarlacc pit scene was cool but more I think about it, sure feels like searching for a needle in a haystack situation

They do still have the bacta tank though, right? At any given moment Boba could be injured and thrown right back inside- getting some more flashbacks. Meeting Vanth and learning about the armor/ maybe learning the Pykes were behind the attack on the raiders? (considering Fennic saying she thought bikers defeating tuskens was highly unlikely) just a thought, its possible the flashbacks arent completely over?
@@connordolin3312 IMO that should all be weighed against what little time is left this season. I don't see much value in watching him hunt down his armor. We know he tracked down _Din Djarin_ (essentially going where we already saw _Din_ go). And we saw how he got it back. Wouldn't it seem redundant to show that again? Instead they could move the story forward.¹
There has likely been an assumption in virtually every fan's mind of who _Boba Fett_ was. But from the point he left the sarlacc pit, he became someone new.
From that point on, they are free to write whatever they want. At least, that's how I see it.
I could be wrong, but immediately after the incident with _Vanth,_ didn't _Boba_ watch _Din_ speed off with the armor hanging off his speeder? Again, I could be wrong, but I think that was the same scene where we first saw the back of _Boba._ 🤷🏼♂️

¹ ─ To be clear, I see the flashbacks as having provided necessary information. But at this point, it seems we've been given all the critical information.
Yeah they ain't gonna show how he gets the armor back, because they already showed that in the previous show.
The most they could do is Boba looking around and saying "hey that guy has my armor" just to skip over what already happened, so it would be a bit of a waste of time.
People need to start putting respect on Boba. That calm “Please sit,” rancor power move is badass. And while the vespas are a little jarring compared to the kind of color palette Tatooine has, they can have a place there along with the modded people (I personally just don’t like the smug, little punk persona they have going on).
Tatooine is a cesspool of every species of people that don’t belong there to begin with. Modded people aren’t even unheard of in the Star Wars universe. Anakin? Vader? LUKE?? I think maybe even some pod racers were modded. They even had them on Coruscant (which the Vespas would visually fit into better) 50ish years ago. And the kids only stole the water because the guy was apparently charging them 4x the amount.
Idk. I understand that it looks weird at first, but just because you haven’t seen something before doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense. If you sit and think about it logically…it does.

I think the concept is fine, but the execution was off. The problem isnt the fact that they are modded its that their look dont fit in star wars. Star wars has always embodied the "long time ago in a galaxy far away" thing. Everything looks old and advanced at the same time. The reason why cyberpunk looking characters dont fit in star wars is because they are from a future earth type scenario, which isnt star wars. The reason why they successfully can have people live in clay and sand huts while also having planet killing superweapons is because the technology in star wars is completely unrelated to anything that has to do with earth and its technology
My take is the Squad is not trying to fit in. That's their whole point. That's why he didn't want to hide the machinery on Fennec. I'm not crazy about the design choices but I understand not wanting to fit in. I'm From NY where every 10 blocks you hit some culture shock so this actually makes sense to me.

It's incredibly common historically. Another thing I've seen pointed out elsewhere is that a lot of older folks in Star Wars are likely bigoted against droids because of the Clone Wars - so agumenting yourself with droid parts and sticking it to to them does really feel like a counterculture thing as well.

Seems like this episode addressed so many criticisms Steven had:
- Boba and Fennic’s motivations and mindset were explained
- Black Krrsantan ripped off an arm and messed up some Trandos
- Fennic kicking droid and organic ass
- Slave I blowing stuff up
- no delinquents on speeder scooters
- crime family dinner
- Mando tease
Let us pause and appreciate that we live in a world in which we’ve set up Bo Katan and the Night Owls pulling up to Tatooine in a modified hijacked Arquitens and launching a Gauntlet fighter piloted by Din Djarin to help Bona Fett, riding a Rancor, fight a Pyke army possibly working under Qira and Crimson Dawn

@@NikkiStevenReact The last episode ended with the elevator closing on Luke. Mando got the Darksaber by defeating Moff Gideon which Bo wanted. So I think the story between Din and Bo is pretty rough. From my understanding, Bo wishes to rule Mandalore, but the wielder of the Darksaber is the true ruler, aka Din Djarin. In Bo's eyes Din isnt a real Mandolorian. Who knows if he'll relinquish it, if that's even an option, or if Din, Bo and the other Mandalorians will all turn up and annihilate the Pikes.
I'd personally LOVE a Mandalore storyline in the next season of the Mandalorian... that makes the most sense for me

I personally love the “flow” that these episodes have been displaying for the viewers. We get to see a lot of the parallels between the flash backs and current timeline and helps us understand boba’s motivations a little better! From being taken in by the tribe to trying to establish his own “tribe” I’ve loved being able to see both side by side.

ok this is one of the most fair and balanced reactions I've seen. You are fairly calling out the weak spots cause there are many and you are also not being negative for the sake of being negative. You are reviewing and enjoying it in a realistic way. Not blindly loving it or unnecessarily bashing it and to me, that is a honest review of the show so far.
appreciate this comment very much... i do my best to share exactly what I am feeling, which can be challenging these days... many people don't like honesty, especially if it's different than how they feel.

A way they could bring the Mandolorians into the story is have them having to fight the Pikes to regain control of Mandalore.
Another option is have him go to and recruit the other Tuskan tribes.

After all by the end of Mando they have commandeered Moff Gideon's imperial light cruiser. That's more than enough firepower to bring over tatooine if the Pykes get too big for their britches.

The actor who portrayed the Mods surgeon was a cameo appearance, and weird music we heard during that scene was his original music.
The Mods surgeon’s shop had the look and feel of a tattoo shop. And, it looked like the surgeon was working on the Mos Vespa biker chic when Boba walked in and asked for help.
Fennec Shand pointed out that the biker gang should not have been able to wipe out an entire Tusken village.
My head canon says a rival bounty hunter named Cad Bane slaughtered the Tuskens. We need one more flashback to the shootout between Bane and Fett, which left the dent in Fett’s helmet.
I saw somewhere someone was complaining that there is not Zippers in Star Wars. Luke zipped up his orange flight suit on Empire.
This is Best Episode so far. I think Boba took in the Mod'ers in because they help save Fennec. In The Mandalorian when Boba and Fennec showed Fennec showed Din her enhancements. Boba getting Slave 1 back was awesome as next the Millennium Falcon, it is favorite ship. The little Droid is from The Clone Wars Animated show. The Sarlacc Beak jump scare made me shoot soda out my nose. The seismic charge on the beak was cool, but I feel it was Fan Service. Yes, Wookiees hate Trandoshans. They hunt Wookiees for sport. Hearing the Mandalorian theme got my pumped for the next episode also.
Wookies and Trandoshans hate each other. Trandoshans hunt wookies (the gift to Boba from their leader was wookie pelt), so wookies hate them back.
I'm impressed how fast you got this reaction up considering the ep only came out today. I think many TH-camr viewers are too used to reactors who don't have grown-up responsibilities!
I'm glad they changed Fennec's story a little, that who "he saved my life so I serve him forever" bit didn't sit well with me. But her helping him with a mission to pay him back and then deciding it was worth sticking with him - that makes more sense.
Also that side-eye Fennec gives Boba after his "Don't touch my buttons" line cracks me up. I love her so much! 😆
I'm still suspicious of whether the mayor is _really_ with the Pykes. Basically I don't trust anything that majordomo says. 😆
I really like the Twi'lek bar owner for some reason, I hope she has a bigger part in the story later on.
I get where Boba is coming from but I feel like he's being a little _too_ nice to the crime lords (although that suspiciously well-timed rancor growl was a nice touch).
I'm thinking he needs to make an example of someone. Someone who lips off that is not too powerful but respected/feared enough that snuffing them would get the other bosses attention.
Thinking about it now as they talk about hiring muscle. The credits he could pay to Din would help him but a new ship since his ship was destroyed the episode Boba mainly joined him on his mission

You got it right. Trandos enslaved the wookies for a long long time. Plus early on that one trando gifts Boba a wookie pelt.
The musical hint at the very end of the episode... just "wheeeee!!!". And yeah, those colorful scooters looked ridiculous and just didn't fit into the environment or Star Wars at all. This episode is pure redemption though. :)
mods were rebels in the past in England and taking care of their scooters that well even when they were poor kids mostly was a BIG thing. It was about rebellion and identity. star wars is trying to tell a story here.

Every time I start to question the direction of any of these shows (with John Favreau and Dave Filoni) I remember the last three sequel trilogies and then I don't question it anymore and enjoy the ride.
I love Boba in the bacta tank. It's like the gestation pods all of Jango's, ahem, 'children' gested in. It's like Boba is literally re-gestating to be re-born, slowly piecing himself back together as a new version. All at one time he's processing as this baggage, giving us backstory, metaphorically re-gestating, physically re-building himself and giving us a unique narrative framing device just to mix things up a little so that we're not left with the usual linear storyline. Could prove wrong in the end, but I for one really think that once the show's over and everything's clicked into place, this first-half build to this fulcrum episode is gonna be looked back on really fondly. Two episodes of great character-building a la 'Lawrence of Arabia' and 'The Last Samurai.' One campy, silly, tongue-in-cheek, fun episode in the style of 'Back to the Future' that I think people are just gonna have a good time clowning on. Then Boba coming into his own in a direct homage to 'Godfather.' And then maybe something like 'Magnificent Seven' going forward?
The modders clean their gear and bikes the same way that people who live in Arizona and Nevada keep their nice cars clean and polished. A lot of people in those states dwell in shacks and barely have income, but anything extra they get goes to their cars and their clothes. So we see this exact thing in real life. Why is it so hard to believe in a fantasy world?

It would be cool to have Greef Karga, Mayfeld, Koska and Bo Katan come with Din to help Boba. But I don't think that Koska and Bo Katan care so much about helping Din on side quests. Bo Katan and Koska dont like Boba so zero chance they will help him. Mayfeld is on the run. Greef Karga is busy with his business. Cara Dune is now a sheriff and not really close with Boba. The only ones I see viable to appear will be Din and/or one or two of the old clones still living which probably knows Boba.
Black K also has the peoples eyebrow so you know hes a bad ass.
About the bikes. The city is in a canon sheltered by rocks. The city is probably built on rocks. The sand will be compacted. The usual speeders are for traversing the Dune sea. These are like my city car: not meant for motorways but for bobbing and weaving around a city. They are manoeuvrable but not fast. The colour is bright because they are young and want to make a statement. They were also thieves which is where they got their money.
They're not stealing water because they were poor they were stealing it just to steal it they're just punks, also Abu Dhabi is in a desert but have you seen the vehicles they have there?
I get why people say these things about that mod group and Tatooine in general, but you don't really see much about Tatooine in Star Wars lore outside of the desert aspects so it's possible for weird things like teen biker/scooter gangs to exist.

Boba realized what being in a tribe was all about & it seems like what he wants. Perhaps he'll end up helping to unite the different Mandolorian factions. He was involved in a lot of that in the old novels that are no longer cannon.
I don't believe that's his exact MO. This new House of his (once established) will serve two specific purposes. It will oversea affairs - e.g power, commerce and order of Mos Eisley. Secondly, it conduct itself to a similar role to other Bounty Hunter Guilds. By and large he will have a strong foothold & influence as an organisation in the Bounty Hunter Trade. Boba is making some BIG MOVES. In the long term this will set him up as a huge player in the region. The Bounty Hunter trade has even more greater potential; if successful, it could expand his operations far beyond Tatooine into the Outer Rim Territories.

I feel like it’s almost inevitable that Din shows up, at least by the last two eps - if he does, I feel that they may tie an appearance into S3 of The Mandalorian, maybe in a post-credit scene?
Other thoughts: As off-putting as the Mod Squad’s inclusion, I think he picked them up as a way to “jump-start” his tribe. Remember, at the time, no one respected Boba Fett, so I’m sure no one was jumping at the chance to align with him. True, the Mod Squad aren’t as intimidating as the “muscle” we’d like to see (ahem, Black K) - seemed like they were more useful with reconnaissance purposes - but I think he made the offer due to the fact that they were modded up, and they were wanting to work, and he needed to up his numbers somewhat, so he was able to utilize them - seeing as he had Fennec augmented to save her, he probably had an idea of the advantages of using mods. 🤷🏽♂️

In Britain in the sixties you had “mods” and “rockers”. The latter rode motorbikes and the former rode scooters pimped out with ridiculous amounts of mirrors . Hence the “modded” kids ride those weird speeders I guess 👍
Tradoshans and Wookies pretty much hate each other, as their is a blood feud between them and Tradoshans have been known to hunt Wookies and skin them for their pelts
This episode of the Fennec show was great. we got to see her get rebuilt, find a target, use cool weapons, kill a Scarlacc all while being introduced to her goofy side-kick, boba fett.....

I think Boba was fed up with the Empire & its remnant because what that did to the whole galaxy....hence his attitude towards the Stormtroopers on Tython. Steven and Nikki (I inverse it hehehe) in The Mandalorian they showed Fennec belly when she said Boba saved her. You just didn't remember it. This episode now just explained how and when, and justify the kids of the gang. Thundercat (he is a famous bass player) made a great body enhancer, looking like he was in a tattoo and piercing studio. All the style is correct.

Watch Quadrophenia. Sting is literally a car hop, yet he drives the most tricked out Vespa, all while dressing as the coolest guy far and wide. Look at low riders. Not a lot of money flowing, but their cars are polished and tricked out to a T. I hope after this episode you find it makes sense. Mods are modifiers and created to be like the Mods of the ‘60’s. Youth gang, dedicated to their identity as better than the rest and that includes seeing and being seen on tricked out transportation. They were stealing water after all.

I got the impression the mod squad may be more than they appear to be. Like you said, they stick out like a sore thumb on Tatooine. I feel like they’re probably rebellious and bored kids of super-rich families on the planet.

With getting Mandalorian help, be it Din and or Bo Kataan’s crew, maybe the payment for helping Boba on Tattooine will be Boba helping reclaim Mandalore.
There's still a whole bunch of other Tusken tribes, like the group that Mando helped with Cobb, that could come to help when things are looking grim, especially if a certain Tusken warrior escaped the "biker" attack and is gathering up the Desert Power to help her protege protect their planet from the Pykes.
I think they are building the "Battle for Mandalor". This seems like the lead up for the Mandalorian next season. Bo Katan is building an army too.

The only thing that will make sense to me in terms of motive is either, he almost died and is over doing what he was doing, or he wants to give the power back to the sand people. I think both can co-exist.

I don't think Boba remembers Han and Luke and the rescue. That memory is repressed. If you see the flashbacks it jumps from him as a little boy until after the escape from Sarlacc.

Speaking of Luke, I have been having a “what If” moment of sorts since he appeared on The Mandalorian to take Grogu - what if Boba had stayed around for that assault on Moff Gideon and was on the bridge for Luke’s arrival (instead of flying off)? I wonder how this Luke-Boba meetup would have played out (given that it may have jump-started Boba’s memory of Luke)
@@kenjaminbuttonz It's an interesting what if moment but I think the reason why it didn't happen was because the writers hadn't decided at the time that Boba had that repressed memory and it would have taken away from that most perfect moment when Luke shows up to get Grogu.

With that music, it’s all but a guarantee Din shows up and possibly a bunch of other Mandos. I can see that treasure being used to bring Dengar, Bossk, IG-88 and crew in. I’m not entirely convinced we’ve seen the end of the Tusken Warrior too. We didn’t see a body. She could have escaped with some others. I think the Pykes have more to do with that raid on the Tuskens as a false flag operation.
