    I still don’t understand how you don’t have a network television show, Matt.

    I really like videos like this where you’re actually fishing while providing insight into what you’re thinking while breaking down the water, weather, time of year etc. Although it might not apply to everyone, it generally applies to a lot of us and at least for me I learn best by seeing what to do better than just listening to what to do.

    I have totally revamped how I have been fishing! These video's are truly amazing. I am 59 years old. My father's way of fishing still works for me. But I have up graded my rod' s and reel' s. My fishing knots and switched from mono to braided lines on my reel' s. I bank fish alot in Industrial ponds and lakes around me. Fishing Frog's, Senkos and Jigs. My still go to lures are spinner baits and watermelon salamander Carolina rigs and chrome and black 3/4 oz rattle trap. I have caught more fish this year than alot of previous years. My friend just started fishing again after 16 years of not fishing. I have enjoyed catching my own. But, I really have liked watched him. Catching Big Bass! He seems like a whole new person. He has really taken to the Senkos and top water frog fishing. Thanks, For your video's. Love watching them alot! SHAWN

    After watching a few of your older episodes on Senkos, I started giving them a real go. I've got a four year old, and rarely get more than a few minutes here and there on some office park ponds near home. Those lakes get so much pressure, just coming along with something rigged or presented in a different way has done the trick. Where I was lucky to get a few dinks here and there, concentrating on the slow, methodical Senko got me a four and a five pounder, and numerous twos and threes, just in the past few days. This is the best show out there! Thanks for all you do!

    Tried a wacky rigged senko for the first time in a heavily pressured small body of water and absolutely the best afternoon of fishing there in several years. the last few weeks have thrown everything except a fit and nada, second cast of a black and red wacky senko, bam fish in the boat, then a fish every ten minutes after that! You guys ROCK !

    Line watching is great.
    Nothing like seeing the bait hit bottom by watching line and then seeing it move and there's no mistake it's a fish.
    My favorite is when the suns out and when the line tightens up you see all the little Glissen and shimmer from the water and line move. No mistaking that bite.

    Switching to a bigger worm or senko after you get bite a couple times is genius.... Figure out what they are hitting first and then size it up with the same worm or senko to go for the bigger ones. That's never clicked for me till just now. Very good advice

    I've been slaying on frogs in Northern Cali. Bank fishing has netted me anywhere from 9-15 fish per day, few over 3 and close to 4. Downsizing my frog has done wonders for the bass being able to eat it in the tight cover.

    This is the first time I've seen the kaera frog shown on any youtuber's video. The secret is getting out. Not many use it here on guntersville, based on the fact that hardly nowhere sells them and the one place that does always has them. You're gonna love that frog! Hookup ratio it incredibly higher. I think the smaller profile ensures they eat it and I feel I get more bites. Try the "Black Gill" color and "red frog". They're beasts!

    • @robinblau
      @robinblau 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also. Pro tip! In my experience, the weight in the frog comes out a little easier than it should. I always throw some super glue down there as soon as I take it out of the pack. And, whenever your frog's nose starts tearing after a bunch of fish, steal that butt weight for when one falls out of another one.

  • @sstig13
    @sstig13 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not sure if it matters but if you get another Frabil net and the handle is hollow with like a cap on the end that pops out. Take some pool noodle and cut it into strips and shove it up inside the handle that way if your net falls in you can go back and get it cause it will be floating. Did that with my net I use on the kayak and it has saved me loosing it a few times. If the handle is solid you can also take a piece of pool noodle and slide it over the handle and up high out of the way of where you hold it. It doesn’t look as cool for sure but I hate loosing stuff over board lol.

    Love the videos, I only fish casually but when I fish I'm on my race paddle board. Obviously not ideal. But my question is what baits/lures would be good for a drifting board, with often moving tide water. I'm mostly in the Hudson River 1hr. north of NY city. Pretty murky water. But I do also get into some more clear water. Mostly stripe bass, small blue fish, perch, sunnys, lg and sm mouth bass, we even have sturgeon! I've only ever seen them from far away. Hope not to catch one of those from the 24" wide board :) I have lots of gear just don't know how to apply what I have really. Thanks
