To balance between power and weight, they should've used more carbon fiber for the interior, hood, trunk, and roof to keep the weight low. Also, use the solid state batteries. The wheelbase can be a bit shortened to shave more weight. The price might go up significantly, but that's the risk of implementing hybrid drivetrain in a high-performance sedan. 2500kg is outrageous for an M5, a performance sedan that weighs more than a SUV.
I like the sharp edges on my I5 m60 to be honest. They softened and rounded some edges which looks kinda odd against some of the sharp edges for right now, but may grow on me. Love the back …. Iono I’m kinda torn. This is still 🔥 tho

You can’t fool us. Cheap plastic door panels, plastic carbon fiber-looking paddle shifts, and no carbon fiber steering. Yet, all of which is available on the M3 and M4 models. The rear diffuser truly looks like an afterthought. And the front kidney grill is identical to the i5 M60. What is joke! And I am sure BMW has increased the price beyond any measure to match the rest of the model lineups.
They should have shown the car in this colour in the first place as it looks mean and awesome. The green is just not for the M5 at all and i am right. Thank you
The plug in hybrid drive is nice, but it's bigger and fatter and the cockpit continues to get worse with the lack of buttons and knobs. But they are built for the Chinese market so what the hell would I know.
I liked the car, but the idea of having a vehicle that needs to go to both a gas station and a charging station doesn't appeal to me, and for this reason, I don't like PHEVs. Additionally, it is quite heavy.

Makes you wonder who their target demographic is. I mean with Porsche the 911T is 50 year olds, but the brand keeps its fans engaged from young ages so that if and when a person can afford one, it's a dream come true. I feel like the success from a brand comes from giving the fans what they want, and what they can aspire to. I'm not sure with all the pivots in design and performance that the M brand has done recently will be something that is sought after from newer generations. 🤔 I feel like this resembles a business decision that another car company made where the marketing and design was to find NEW enthusiasts instead of giving into the loyalists. Let's just say that car is no longer in production.

I got an Idea... Get the fkn 5 series with a B58 and AWD and tune it to 600BHP and you are done. A 5 series faster and quicker than this m5. It wont need more power since it wont have the extra 600kg from the hybrid system.
@@7ludi doubt it. I have an m5cs and 22 m5 comp both have cf roof. The sunroof glass panel is optional the cf roof is standard spec. A big ass glass panel is gonna be super heavy
What a joke. They increase the power, increase the weight, yet its 0.2 seconds slower 0-60, a smaller trunk, uglier design, and the power of the v8 is less so they gave more to the electric motor.
How is this interior so different in comparison to the hideous 2025 X3 interior. BMW do not have a consistent design language between models other than the curved display.
Very controversial design. The rear is again a square car, like the G80, and the front doesn’t look like an M, it looks like the bottom part of the radiator is from an M, and the side gills are from regular BMWs and for some reason are directed in opposite directions, which is some kind of nonsense in terms of design. It’s also not clear why the design of the front lights was changed, and the F90’s rear lights were top-notch. Also, the question is why they left the design of the old M seats, then they should have done it in the F97/F98 style. The car weighs almost 500 kg more, what kind of M is it, you can forget about handling. However, despite all the controversial points, there is no denying the fact that the F90 is now obsolete and a part of history. P.S. The lack of a closed cockpit still infuriates me, what kind of fashion is there for open tablets?
