While that used to be relevant it’s a lot less so now. It being a hybrid is going to hide that on acceleration and there are heavier well handling cars these days for less money so I’m sure bmw has it sorted extremely well.

Their design choices are all business. Similar to what lexus started doing 10-12 years ago. Make polarizing cars, grab customer’s attention, sell a bunch of said cars, then hopefully tone it back down a bit

Previous M5 owner. Possible future buyer. I like the front end. I’m on the fence with the rear tail lights and not liking the rear fenders. Tail light design feels very generic and no flared fenders is a miss imo.

The G90 M5 is the first M5 in history to be slower than it's predecessor. If this new M5 lost about 1,000 lbs or was the same weight as the F90 M5 CS, it would be the greatest M5 of all time...

You dont need to spec anything at all on this.
Im disappointed honestly… I see why they priced it cheaper - The performance numbers are extremely mid, especially for 730hp - It’s way too heavy - It’s slower than the previous M5 its replacing - It’s slower than the all-electric i5 M60 (0-60) - It’s slower than the 4cyl+hybrid C63 The next E63 and RS6 is going to crush this with their V8+hybrid setups. This needed to be at least 800hp or more with how heavy it is

the front looks absolutely stunning and the diffuser at the back really helps the back not look so boxy and square I often praise audi for really aggressive front ends but this just took it to another level id be shitting myself if I saw this front end in my rearview mirror.
A turbo or supercharged or both V8 is all that's needed. No plugging in to get the extra power, just petrol is all that's required. I wonder if you can turn off the illuminated grille? To save electric power of course, because its just so classy with lit up grille, not.

what caught my attention is when you said how this car can do whatever it does with it's weight. Everyone is making fun of how much it weighs as if they track the car or sth. If it doesn't feel like driving an elephant, I'd be happy with it. Bad exhaust sound? as if everyone wouldn't mod an exhaust or a part of it from the beginning. I don't see why ppl hate the car. At least we didn't get a 4cyl like that dead car. This one is just as good as before and even better with a tad bit more practicality and driving experience with the instant throttle response and electric features. It's a matter of price and personal preference to be honest.
We say ❌ to any plug in hybrid cars. We don’t want 2.5 tones sports cars because there is useless plug in systems and makes it so heavy. Bmw ruined another legend.
Not worry about the weight killing the straight line performance when you have electric power, you can always ignore the weight to ratio with instant power and trq, but the weight will kill the corner speed because every tires have their limits on weights and it will kill the braking performance with heavier weight no matter what😂

Had the M5 F10 for nearly ten years. That was a time when nothing but proper sports cars and above can give me a run for my money. Now that $45,000 Tesla M3 Performance (3.1secs in my part of the world, not 2.9secs) are all over the road, I need more than 3.5secs to 100kmh. Too old to drive at over 150kmh for any period of time You might hate EVs, but they are the reason this M5 G90 costs what it does too.

the front looks absolutely stunning and the diffuser at the back really helps the back not look so boxy and square I often praise audi for really aggressive front ends but this just took it to another level id be shitting myself if I saw this front end in my rearview mirror.

A turbo or supercharged or both V8 is all that's needed. No plugging in to get the extra power, just petrol is all that's required. I wonder if you can turn off the illuminated grille? To save electric power of course, because its just so classy with lit up grille, not.

what caught my attention is when you said how this car can do whatever it does with it's weight. Everyone is making fun of how much it weighs as if they track the car or sth. If it doesn't feel like driving an elephant, I'd be happy with it. Bad exhaust sound? as if everyone wouldn't mod an exhaust or a part of it from the beginning. I don't see why ppl hate the car. At least we didn't get a 4cyl like that dead car. This one is just as good as before and even better with a tad bit more practicality and driving experience with the instant throttle response and electric features. It's a matter of price and personal preference to be honest.

Not worry about the weight killing the straight line performance when you have electric power, you can always ignore the weight to ratio with instant power and trq, but the weight will kill the corner speed because every tires have their limits on weights and it will kill the braking performance with heavier weight no matter what😂

BMW doesn't know how bad it will be with sales of this car no matter how much money it spends on marketing and paying TH-camrs.
Had the M5 F10 for nearly ten years. That was a time when nothing but proper sports cars and above can give me a run for my money.
Now that $45,000 Tesla M3 Performance (3.1secs in my part of the world, not 2.9secs) are all over the road, I need more than 3.5secs to 100kmh. Too old to drive at over 150kmh for any period of time
You might hate EVs, but they are the reason this M5 G90 costs what it does too.
