USA needs to televise a press presentation, televise prelims, informal interviews talk show style, go to the major daytime and late night talk shows, a national tour, and have a summertime or spring pageant. There's nothing really on cable TV anyways. Other countries do a reality show or something! When Abena won, in the states no one really cared but the world gave her coverage. Also the FYI Channel ain't it get back on Fox or NBC. I'm willing to give my ideas too. As an American I feel you queen its frustrating.

I am getting where you're coming from as a pageant fan myself. I only know 3 Miss USA candidates: Miss Texas, Miss New Mexico, and Miss Hawaii because they are being hyped and supported by Filipino pageant community.
I was 15 years old when i first got into pagaents.
I followed miss usa 2019 quite closely and although i didnt have cheslie as my winner i immeadietly warmed up to her seeing the way she commanded the room with her speaking.
Its honestly so sweet that crystle choose to commemorate cheslies memory. hope they do a tribute to her during the show.
So Miss USA is ongoing? They have world caliber brains and beauty and its such a shame we don’t even know who’s in the running. Completely agree with you Queen.
Lol I love this! I, too, agree that Miss USA needs more press coverage and media attention. You gave wonder ideas on how Miss USA can keep the fans on their toes yearly. The other day when the location and date for the 2022 pageant was announced, I saw a pic of all 51 contestants (teens included), and I couldn't identify anyone besides Faith Maria, Miss District of Columbia (incredible beauty), Miss Ohio, Miss Pennsylvania, and Miss Texas. I was a deer in headlights trying to figure out the names and states of the other contestants. Yes, since Crystals take over I noticed a big change in the organization in terms of preparation and seriousness. Maybe Crystal is working on getting more sponsors and don't have the time to do a series of press releases. Or, she will start to do more media coverage for the contestants starting next month now that a location is secured for the next three years, and a date for the 2022 contest is determine. You should consider sending your resume to Crystal and her team because your expertise will really help!

i couldn't agree more! i've been browsing some of their instagram accounts and just saw stories and reels for just seconds. and right, they really need more exposures and Miss USA have all the resources to that great sponsors if given the chance

Filipino pageant fans are very much interested in Miss USA’s pageant activities as well as the pageant activities of other pageant-centric nations (Filipino pageant fans are curently watching MU Thailand pre-pageant activities. If Miss USA has pre-pageant activities, we will be watching it and covering it as well). They can get a huge chunk of audience from ASEAN and Latin countries who would love to watch the Miss USA preliminary competition and other pre-pageant activities.

The fact that Miss USA org uses state-sash system, it's so unfortunate that each candidate doesn't have enough exposures. Maybe trying to introduce their state uniqueness etc, that will work, look at Miss France.
honestly one of the biggest reasons if not the biggest reasons why Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam are emerging as powerhouses is because of the endless amount of sponsorship that they have. good pageants can never not have sponsors, and the fans do not mind good sponsorship deals at all

I truly hope Crystal Stewart takes some of your suggestions to heart. I have watched Miss USA and Miss Universe since 1970 and agree there needs to be improvements. One of the improvements is who picks the evening gowns for Miss USA. Now I am not a fashion expert but Miss USA 2019 and 2021 made me say out loud "What the ....". Need a new designer.

Kidding aside, I agree. Us from the other side of the world would also love to watch what other countries are doing. We could also fangirl over other competitors. As a pageant fan, I long to see a complete package of beauty, wisdom and heart no matter what country a candidate is from. Miss USA let us get know your girls! It would be a good training and international exposure before they hit that international stage.

I agree with everything you said o what I think personally the Miss USA Organization can do would be these:
Runway Challenge of each of them girls in their home state or a one time big time Runway Challenge and have it streamed on TH-cam LIVE.
but individual challenge would be better and post it on TikTok or Instagram (incase Kumu isn't available in the US)
Swimsuit Challenge & Casting Challenge of each girl would be perfect, too.
Tourism videos of their home state.
no matter which city they choose or come from.
Introduction videos that are purely about them and what they wanna bring to the table would be fanfreakingtastic.
If Philippines or any other pageant fan nation can do that, they can, too.
They can all upload those videos on their TH-cam channel.

You are absolutely right in your sentiments regarding the lack luster Miss USA 2022. Now that Crystle Stewart became the President of Miss USA , a lot of pageant fans all over the world was expecting something new and exciting presentation of Miss USA but almost everybody were disappointed from the show . I hope Miss Crystle Stewart , President of Miss USA can see this video of the Sovereign and the video of Dani Walker and learn new exciting ideas on how to make Miss USA show exciting in the future or better yet , let Sovereign and Dani Walker work for you as consultants , Miss Stewart , you have nothing to loose .

Hi everyone! Okay my response to this video. First off I love Davonna and the channel here. I'm saying this out of a neutral tone of voice. I don't think it's fair to compare other countries competitions to Miss USA. In America, and it's happened in the past, our public does not always pay attention to our titleholders. We have sooo many celebrities and people in America tend to turn a blind eye. Especially if they are feeling overwhelmed by life and may feel that an agenda is being pushed on them.
I understand the feelings of wanting to see more of the delegates, having more exposure. We must remember how America is. Most American press, TV Stations, and Studios will not do a press conference or press presentation. It costs a lot of money to take over "prime time" TV slots. And the demographic numbers must show a large viewing audience.
Our President doesn't even meet Miss USA or any other US title holder unless, it's been approved and scheduled far in the future. When Olivia Culpo won Miss Universe in 2012, there was no parade, no press to welcome her home, our President didn't meet with her and congratulate her. I called the MUO office and asked when is her homecoming as a Miss Universe, I was told then, in 2012 by the MUO receptionist, Olivia had already had her homecoming in Rhode Island when she won Miss USA. See what I mean? And the whole country didn't see her homecoming. The state of Rhode Island did. That's how they do things. It was thought why would any other state care or any other Americans care except for those from her home state.

All this to say, that what Davonna wants to see from the Miss USA org, may not happen due to how American press and the American mindset is. Most Americans don't watch pageants and they do not all get excited for it. Unless the delegate is someone they know. Most Americans will become insecure about themselves from watching what is being told to them are the "most beautiful, most intelligent, I've personally heard people get disgusted because they don't look like the delegates and there fore are turned off. Miss USA only brings in around 900,000 to 1 million viewers. America has over 300 million citizens, so imagine how a TV station or news outlet feels, they already know the numbers aren't there. If they saw 100 million Americans tuned in, then yes, we would always have the same press, press presentation and events to be shown on TV or cable TV.
Lastly, The Miss USA org would have to pay all the press outlets, the studios, etc for their time, and find a cable channel or TV station that will air all of this. Plus finding sponsors, the sponsors in the USA would want ad time. Once you add a studio, press, those conglomerates may say, change this. We don't like that, it's our studios time, etc. Plus every state is like its own country. Example, in Hawaii, Miss Hawaii USA and Miss Hawaii is broadcast to the whole state. In California, unless you live in the area that Miss California is being held in, you will not see the Miss California USA or Miss California pageant.
I feel what Davonna is saying and I understand the other international views on this subject. WE in America need our people to become excited and want to see the delegates. Without that, the TV stations, Studios, Press, etc will feel it's a waste of time and money and they won't put in an effort. The small percentage of Americans that like and love and are loyal to pageants would love more pre events to see, but unfortunately it's how we're structured. Last example, every other country has a Mister to go with their Miss. America has just started to get involved with the Male pageant world and we're still not hitting the mark. Our Mister United States and Mister Universe are still bodybuilding competitions. Everyone knows that title as a bodybuilder. The sex and gender roles in America! Lol. I'll personally be happy when I see a consistency for the USA and the pageant world. As a man, I've experienced age discrimination due to my country not jumping on board with male pageants until now. And the men they send are always an athletic looking man that shows sex appeal. I believe if it's a pageant, you need more than sex appeal. I get your point about the American mindset and the low viewership…but they can utilize youtube for that, because us non-American pageant fans would also like to watch. USA is a powerhouse in Miss Universe, so we’re curious…imagine getting hundreds and thousands of views because of Thais, Filipinos, and Latin Americans pageant fans. Their youtube channel would blow up.
@@Snubol I hope they start utilizing TH-cam more. I really would love to see more videos and I would love for people to see how we Americans interact with the state titleholders. I live in Hawaii. Miss Hawaii (America) and Miss Hawaii USA are everywhere! You can be at a festival and there they are. Lol. I love that, the kids and the elders get so excited. When I was a kid, growing up in California, you always took a pic with Miss California USA or Miss California at the State Fair. Thank you for understanding my point and making a positive reply. Girl! As a HUGE pageant lover like you I’ve been saying the same thing! And not sure if you do know but not all 51 contestants were at the Cancun retreat because Texas and Colorado 2022 hadn’t been crowned so they weren’t in attendance which I thought was sad and huge detriment to those 2 states who weren’t able to take part in that. They’re h able to connect and build with the other states contestants. I however do go to all 51 states IG and stalk! Because you’re so right we know absolutely nothing. I don’t even know anything about the current Miss USA or Miss Teen USA. Idk what’s exactly getting “reimagined” but I’m not seeing anything.

when talking about pageantry, the girls' accounts must have had engage in more exposures to have more followers in social media that will really help them in the competition (specifically in the fan's choice something). I guess the girls will join forces together to make a noise in the organization and that the new director will be able to utilize new concepts, medias, press or so whatever. like, hello you are USA the top country diverse and rich. you have all the resources. Miss Texas is above the moon, love her beautiful she had this potential to easily transform her to be the next stunner in the miss universe.
