The thing I find so interesting with the moment at 13:27 where David says "and you're special" as he puts his hand on Ellie's is that, the way it's played makes it easy for people who don't want to see David's paedophiliac tendencies to not see them, especially because there's no other mention of it in the game aside from that one dude telling Joel that David had made her his new pet, which could also be easily skewed away from paedophilia. So I appreciate that they really played it up for the show because it made Ellie's utter destruction of him that much sweeter.
@Don Deka he's a paedophile. He literally lets go of one of Ellie's hands in order to undo his pants so he can rape her. Did you not see that? Or are you a paedophile defender?
David’s sinister ass aside, anyone notice when the first clicker walked in on Ellie and David (3:04), Ellie just barely nudged the deer and the Clicker immediately started darting for her? Such a tiny thing that can be missed, but when you see it, emphasises just how terrifying the infected are
In a world that makes a point to show us the ever present grays of humanity, David is the only one who shines as a complete monster, and he’s eerily my favourite character.
David was a very disturbing character! It's people like him I doubt that a cure for the zombie fungus would ever make the world a better place, moreover only benefit for the Fireflies only.
@@atanaZion There's still all the socio-economic issues at the heart of their broken world. The cordyceps virus is just what initially brought that on. Hunters wouldn't just become civilized again, especially if the Fireflys use such a cure for political gain rather than generosity. Plus you'd have a cure for people initially bitten. You still have infected everywhere.
So I’ve never played the games before watching the series but have been absolutely hooked on the it! I immediately went out and got a PS5 (I’m an Xbox guy) and both games. What an amazing series
@@roboldham lol I’m on episode 7, And eh they did good on the emotional connection and action scenes but I think they are missing the rage of most the characters development, like episode 3 threw me completely off 🤣🚮 I can’t be friends with anyone named bill now‼️‼️‼️
Because monsters are usually not sheep and can think outside the box therefore being able to make more decisions with higher chances of surviving. Normal people are much more likely to make decisions to trust government during the apocalypse and end up dead. Or attempt to save as many people as they can, also ending up dead
A lacking sense of morality and compassion is in apocalyptic scenarios sadly quite beneficial. It gives a headstart in making decisions that serves to your own survival where "normal" people would've hesitated.

No he ain't a pedophile he's a cannibal... not everything has to be in a sexual way you know

Why would David walk around eating ppl if it weren't for the fungus?
@@atanaZion He would still be a pedophile and most likely was before pandemic

Beautiful scenes. I do still love the ones from the game more than the show, especially David in the game. But both are good by themselves.
Keep the videos coming please doing a fantastic job. Can't wait for a season play list

The scene where David is revealed to have been part of the group that attacked Joel and Ellie was so creepy it gives me chills every time I see it
He deserved more than one episode on the show.
He did not whatsoever. 💀
HE DID NOT😨
@@niteski Definitely
If they show this is the series, I would be more amazed than disappointed
Are you amazed? :)

Someone has to fight the infecteds off
@@niggtendo David may be a pedo, but he is quite conpassionate to his group of ppl, that's part of his character concept, tho
I love this game, beat it yesterday, and David is definitely one of my favorite character!!
Just in time, after the show just ended! Nice marketing lol
dayum, u uplouded when hbo version releashed
master degree of marketing
youre a genius
The show is more grounded to reality than the game, and I kinda like the show better than this. Don't get me wrong, I also love this scene.
Yeah I like the series version better 👌🏽
He reminds me of Charles Manson
That's a spoilerheavy video title!
Not really. The game's 10 years old.
@@jlev1028 Lots of people go into the hbo series blindly
@deostickk Then they shouldn't be looking for videos like these on TH-cam.
I didn't. It just popped up on my feed
