Beautiful bird. May I suggest a treat for Jinky... a hard shell Rigatoni noodle filled with either banana or peanut butter, water-melon, or apple or anything he likes. He'll likely love food served that way. It is so easy to prepare and it makes for both a treat and a toy. Please try it. My Timneh loves chewing on a hard shell unboiled Rigatoni and eating from it. He takes it into his leg and eats from it as if it were an ice cream cone.

Omg Jinky what a precious name. He is just beautiful. I’m looking at buying my first eclectus in the next few weeks. I’m super excited as they’ve always been my favourite bird breed. There speech is just the cutest once they learn to speak. My friend has one. She is a teacher she takes him to work with her everyday. His name is jimmy. Doesn’t stop talking.😂

Awesome video, awesome looking bird.
Sadly many wannabe bird owners do not realize the commitment involved in owning a bird. I have an African Gray, inherited from a friend that sadly passed away due to covid vacs adverse event, and it took me almost 2 years for us to bond and develop a mutual respect and trust in each other. The amount of commitment involved is almost as much as having a 5 year old child in the house. And you 100% correct, once you have mutual respect and trust for each other, biting is no longer an issue.
PS: But I must say, after doing lots of reading/research on my African Gray, I ran across several articles & videos on the Eclectus, and I doubt I would be able to handle one of them, because it seems like it is supper difficult to read their mood or intentions.

I learned a lot about parrots today ,I owned a budgie that could talk his name was Joe and we also owned a cockatoo! They are a lot of work and hard to have around children

This is a diet that has worked well daily for my 21 y.o. electus rora female: water bowl with nearby bread and almonds, scrambled eggs, liver paste, sunflower seeds, blueberries in season, pomengrate at least twice a week, slices of oranges, cheese, and muesli with milk.
She is an egg layer and need sthe calcium. Presumably birds do not digest lactose, but no problem has been observed, and she loves the cheese. She generally loves meat, especially McDonalds hamburgers.

@madebynicolezan I think you mentioned that you're able to take him to work? If so, I just love that. Do you just keep him at your desk? I'm lucky that I telework, but if I ever went to a new job I think I'd make bringing my two parakeets along a condition of my employment, lol. They're so quiet anyway, mostly they warble and at their loudest they screech a bit.
