One of Veilside's best kits. An instant classic. Looks absolutely killer.
Súper JDM bosozoku vibes
Fake rivets are ridiculous. Why? No widebody fender, but sticking fake rivets?
Probably cost around 20K
The line on the Katana is called a hamon, it's where they put a clay/ash mixture to alter the heating of the steel and iron mix blade.
Ok
Surprised people don't know that !
Yes on samurai sword pattern
Thanks for the tip, I like to know such little details.
The function of the clay is to offer heat protection to the spine of the blade so that the edge is hardened but the spine doesn't become as hard and brittle
Such a well designed kit. Love how it just looks fast even sitting there parked! Really has that Veilside feel to it; and when he said "no cutting" I was sold!! Hope to be able to see one in my garage someday!!
What’s up Johnny!!
Fake rivets look ugly
@@JK4fam2008 What's up!! :D sorry, I just saw this reply!!
@@lucky889s9 I see what you mean, maybe if they paint matched them they'd look better. Or silver rivets possibly
@@JohnnyB. Or no fake rivets altogether. Keep it clean
Sung is such a stud and this may be a little extreme for some enthusiasts, but it's perfect for the movie and even the streets. Love it.
The front lip for streets is a concern been so low.
@@caribbeangtr8077 hopefully that air suspension lifts it high enough in the default setting to overcome speed bumps and stuff on the road.
@@caribbeangtr8077 given that the car is with air suspension, it shouldn't be a problem at all. The setting you see in the video is only for when the car s standing still. It will be higher when in motion.
Man that z is amazing, the kit really sets it off from stock, pretty amazing veilside has been around so long!
This is the best KIT I've seen on a Z, WOW!!!!
the design and color is insane. Insanely good.the original is excellent, this is insane.
This Z is so badass! There's a lot of Z boys that will try to save a lot of dough to obtain this bodykit and all the other accessories in this car!
The wavy thing on the katana is a "Hamon". The Hamon is the demarcation line from the clay hardening process during a "water" quench. Giving the sword the ability to flex. "Against the Mongolian armor:" the Hamons brilliants can be brightened using the a isuya stone in the Hadori method. The Isuya is a chip off the uchagamori stone, witch is the final polishing procedure. The steel is made up of tomahagonai " Japanese for round and precious " "iron- orr " Astennight witch is iron orr goes into the quench turning the steel into a purelight, fiaright, Martinight structure. Martinight being the wavy line as you say is the hardest fully matured edge of the Katana. Edit: I did not realize someone already said this! Sorry I'm dumb
The steel used by Japanese Swordsmiths I'd called bright-steel as they looked for meteorites that had struck the earth in Japan and believed the blades were then inbude with super strength, and possibly why they name their blades in what they saw in battle or within the smything of the blade.
You explained it better than I did and more information about the belief behind the blades, and its strange that the smaller blade has the longer name lol .
@Neil Perry yes, the small blade is a wakizashi, "Japanese for side arm." The small blade with a long handle is a Ko-katana. Katana itself means long single edged blade. Or something take it all with a grain of salt.
This amazing info, now I want this kit!
Always love Mr.Yokomaku's work, from the Combat cars and the Fortune cars
Truly timeless, in 20 years it will still hit the same.. beauty
I love the semi S-series styling on the taillights. I can't wait to see what the aftermarket brings to this series.
Kuki, here we come.
I don’t think I could have said it better than what Larry said , such an incredible body kit and definitely makes it more aggressive in a good way !
Stop putting spaces before punctuation
@@IJm3 Fr kinda gives me anxiety 😂

not going to lie but way back in like 2010 i used to have larry chens pictures saved as my background on my pc...i got them of his website and saved his pictures from drift events at the time...whenever my computer would go on stand by mode my computer would go through the album with straight drift pictures from larry chen usually 240sx, s15's n rx7 are mostly what i really was into...at that time i was 17 n had a 240sx with an exhaust, air intake n tweaked the tune a bit. but its awesome to randomly get on youtube and the first thing i see after all these years of disconnection its a Larry Chen Video with my favorite new car right now...its an honor an a pleasure to subscribe today bcs i always was a fan of his pictures from way back...Hope you read this bcs i just want to say hi and you definitely always been amazing with the camera and i just want to say Thank you for sharing with us. Mad love and respect all the way from New york
5:02 the colour is also a nod to the original 432-R 918 orange and the flat black hoot that was often on the Nissan S30z race cars.
this is the most incredible body kit. my god it really highlights how beautiful this new Z can be
Daaaammmmnn!! I'm literally drooling here....sickest kit for this car period!!...Veilside at it again🔥🔥
love this version of the Z. probably my top 2 kit, other than the nismo GT version
I am a total purist when it comes to the Z but I definitely like the body mods Veilside made. Most body mods usually change the shape and stick out but all the mods look smooth.
I HATE bodykits
But I'm loving this one because it actually looks better, MUCH better than stock. Especially what they did with the front end, AND the lights. Sooo much better
they made that fugly grill looks good. thats hard to do. well done VS, well done.
It turned out absolutely beautifully
This is art , everything is detailed to perfection . I could spend hours just to watch the rear end of this car !!!!
The bodykit is a perfect blend of simple yet creative and with a modern touch 👌🏻
With the whole industry turning EV. I hope all those Japanese tuning houses make a come back.
That would be interesting but the biggest problem right now is that access to the power train(s) is difficult. Mostly due to buttoning down the security to keep tuners from access to some truly dangerous....
That being said, I don't think manufacturers will be able to hold back an aftermarket industry for long. It's truly a question of which manufacturer begins to budge first... ironically enough, a lot of eyes are on Nissan.
That said, let me also say this... body kits. Body kits are likely going to be an even bigger business than they are currently because they are the only thing that you can really modify that Manufactures can't stop. As much as Ricers Cars ANNOY the hell out of me, it is something that alot of EV's will likely lean to.
EVs are a trap.
@@DuvJones "keep tuners from access to some truly dangerous....." what?
@@gemini4lyfe3001
Electric motors at the high end tend to disregard the driver when it comes to limits, the body can only handle so much and only really with training and/or experience at the upper end. Not everyone should be pushing hight horse power when that is a threshold that is easy broken, a rather consistence theme among tuners.
It might come down to the point where tuners have to derate the power and torque to be manageable, but I doubt anyone in the industry is thinking along those lines.
Sooooo nice!!! Thanks Larry for getting it" hot off the press".
OOOOMG this is the best one I've seen yet🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tuning in for my daily dose of Larry Chen media❤. Veilside childhood memories are always masterpieces. The shot of the shop and the Fortune Supra, NSX booklet, RX7 were forever timeless masterpieces growing up. I remember the Veilside Celica body kit for my car. And the vent carbon FFGT Hood I had to get for my Celica boy was it expensive but worth every bit knowing not everyone had it due to rarity and cost. Just the Veilside JDM badging back in the day displayed pureness from the fake knock offs. I’m glad they badged that Veilside Z as a complete package throughout the entire vehicle. It looks aggressive as though it came as a factory option and very well put together! Larry you are the King of JDM content. Keep it up brother. ❤❤❤
That is the coolest fairlady Z I've ever seen.😍
Obviously it’s very well built and awesome, it’s just a bit strange at the same time. It reminds me of a boss car from a street racing game, which is pretty cool in that regard.
Tokyo midnight racer for sure
I agree, it looks professionally made and there’s a certain coherence in the kit but it is definitely not my thing, way too tacky and childish imo
I love it. It's looks really nice
Air ride and fake wide body, fake vents show you who this car is for.
@@porkchopexpress6969 Still just 4 wheels and a seat. I genuinely don’t care if someone races it/daily drives it or it sits in a garage with some sort red velvet rope that stops you from getting within 5 feet of it. I like automobiles in general. I would like to have money and so many cars that I could have ones potentially just for show/cruising and others to track. I would happily take this car, fake vents, bags, and all.
The hamon pattern is what I want on my Z! I'm glad I someone did it. Looks awesome.
Wow that curving Hamon on the katana design on the upper side is my favourite! The fact they made it chrome looked like they removed the blade from a real katana and attached it there. Exactly I wished Nissan did on that katana side since they almost nailed it. I wished I get to heat the sound. That exhaust tip looks loud
Fortune favors the brave. Clean looking and love the Andrew Racing wheels!
Easily the best looking Z I’ve seen so far. This actually makes me want one for the first time. Amazing!
This is sickkk. So glad you visited them and showcased a little of their drag racing past. The gunmetal 32 did 0-300km/h in 13 seconds a Yatabe and ran 8.4 1/4mile times
That Looks Amazing. VeilSide Always Doing Something Crazy
Good looking machine for sure! Always loved those Andrew racing evo wheels.
They complete it
we need a feature on that white Supra inside the shop, it has so much presence unlike any other Supra I’ve ever seen
Honestly, I wasn't sold on the looks of the new Z but this might make me change my mind. Looks good with the kit and I say that as someone who hates body kits.
I would love to have one as a vinyl wrapping project!
1.35 mark ..
AWESOMENESS 💯👍👀😎
Friggin rad! Can't wait to see it again!
That lip wing is such a nice touch to an already sick body kit 👌
saw the photos on IG. dam Larry this is the content i’ve been waiting for!!! soo sick!
Oooh Man this gives me chills
This company is amazing
Instantly recognisable as VeilSide
wow Nice video! Such a vision and streamlining contours from the body and front end.
That is freakin beautiful. I love that front end of that. Veilslide make amazing kits. If I could afford a new Z I would love to get this kit as well
Never disappoint. Veilside bodykit always cool as well.
The rear spoiler on this Z is really gorgeous. They did a great job.
In June 2006 when I was 9 years old, Mack and his Father brought me to the movie theatre. We saw Tokyo Drift, I did not even like cars yet. Things changed for little Seany that day.
Han’s RX7 became My First Favourite Car. Dad was a Toyota guy who tried getting me more interested in Miatas Porsches Ferraris Supras and the all new C6 Corvette, but nothing worked. Nothing in the world compared to Han’s RX7.
It is my first love, it will have a special place in my heart for ever, along with LS’s from Mom and 2JZ’s because of Dad. 🍻
The hamon on the window trim, super cool detail.
Such a simple yet aggressive design, this def made the 400z look amazing and meaner. I didnt like the stock front end but now i like it with this veilside kit
That front bumper looks awesome.
So sweet! Well done Veilside!
That is a beautiful Z.... you can see the dna of the Z and the 86 came from the same engineer back in the 60s. Those retro hints show. Veilside did a very good job on the front end.
Awesome. Like the backend and it looks sleek .
In my opinion this Kit is one pf the best body kits of 400z not gonna lie this looks fire af 🔥💯
Larry comes through again with the top notch quality car content that we all love. I'm so glad u care this much about car culture, cause we get to see some awesome stuff because of it. Thanks man
Looks so good!
That, right there, makes the new Z look absolutely amazing. 100% drool worthy.
great use

Love the design, giving me a bit of Viper vibes, loving those new body lines at the quarter back 🔥🔥
Cant wait to see this in action both Veilside and liberty walk
Have been doing some super cool stuff lately 👀💎🔥
This is a $10k kit. Amazing kit. I would do it in a heartbeat.
That machine is stunning🔥🔥🔥…salute 🫡
Great looking Z, would love to have seen in the shop. Hopefully you will release a tour.
Best design I've seen by far and hands down.
This is my new favorite Z! It looks incredible 👌
良いセンスだ・・・・美しいしかっこいい、、、刀のエッジをモールに見立ててるもの素晴らしいセンスだ・・・
The front grill was my biggest peeve and I love what they did with it
CLEAN AF!!!! 😀😀😀
Like it , it’s different. The one thing I’d change is the black vents on the front bumper . It looks good straight on but any other angle, it doesn’t flow with the body at all . Look’s missed placed
Ive never really been a fan of Vielsides design choices, but this one is exceptionally awesome.
wow i never liked the veil designs but this is the best looking z i've ever seen even sparking my interest in cars back up maybe ill be driving this one day
That's a pretty sick kit💯‼️😎
The wing is NASTY! Beautiful.
That is one beautiful machine.
the blue 34 in the background speaks for it self this new z is badass
The Veilside on the 400Z(Z35) is still the better one overall than Rocket Bunny since the Z33.
This kit definitely sells me on this car
Loving this kit 🤙🏽
this Kit will probaly be the best for this car, Extreme and Clean at same time,
I don't know if this is just me. I feel it looks even more like the 240-260Z's with this kit,
just love it
thanks for Sharing!!
luv this reddish orange color
That looks incredible well done
This is amazing!!
Too amazing ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Car looks great, I would just get rid of the tired "bolted fenders", it's already a tired look
saw this at Tokyo Auto Salon. It’s such a beautiful car
Never was a fan of veilside kits but this one is nice as hell
Actually pretty nice looking kit
13K isn't too bad at all for the whole kit. Man what a beatiful car.
they got Sung Kang hooked up, love to see it
Best kit by far 🔥🔥
Add the 600hp conversion (non internal engine modification) and now you have something Kang Sang can be blasting in the next Fast and Furious Edition movie!
Super awesome 400Z Veilside
Nice ride, I am a fan!
Very well executed design and quality kit, transforms the car well. BUT the side curves front to back definitely remind me of the Supra's.
That Nissan Z looks amazing!
Almost feels like an OEM plus design rather than an overhaul. Very subtle but effective.
