This is the story of the one weapon in CS:GO that not everyone should wield. The weapon that can make or break any round. This the Story of the Deagle.

@@magnol1a_ lol just met someone worse, chinese dude who troll the game with his friend. First they just spin in spawn but we were winning so they started moving and blocking, teamkill and flashing us.
I have done that, and hit those one taps. Wouldn’t recommend for general play but for the occasional round it’s surprisingly fun and effective, with the right position/style

Well zeus only has one shot so it can't reach the same height of 'game changer' like deagle, not to mention cz75 is a more viable choice it when it comes to gun-stealing
the fact that zeus has one shot makes it riskier but you can use it only at close range. The deagle can be used at close as well as long range hence makes it more risk taking than zeus. You know opponent is holding angle even then you peek cause you have deagle and shit load of confidence.

One of my moments I remember with the deagle was in mirage,we were broke and one of our teammate had enough cash to buy one rifle for himself and 4 deags for us,I am a silver btw,so I was holding a main with the deagle from CT,idk how but a guy walked into my crosshair and I shot and he got headshoted,the amount of satisfaction I felt cannot be put into words.Thanks for reading this far.Peace.

me and my homies went to the lan house to play grand chase. Servers are under maintenance and one of them suggest cs 1.6 cuz he like to play when he's not farming with us. We open the game since we don't have anything else to play, and he explain the game briefly. I open the shop and since I don't know what to buy just select deagle since the guy also bought it. I go around a corner, miss the first shot but the second goes directly on head. The satisfaction was so magical that 20 years later i still feel it like it just happened, and that was basically my "oh i get it" moment with cs. Ak you learn how to love, deagle is basically one head shot and you're enamoured.
Boi, the *SATISFACTION* you get from a ONE DEAG is UNHOLY.
I guess it is even more satisfying than the ak one taps (for me), but all one taps are satisfying btw.
because you can still accurately spray with AK even if you missed the one tap. The Deag doesn't have that safety net, you either deag or die, unless you're playing against a potato of course.
The feeling of screaming out of the lungs "QUE OOOOOOTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" is so satisfying

My god, I still have vivid memories of server mods lining everyone up outside the long hall in CS_Office for deagle 1v1s late at night.
Custom servers will forever be a cherished era of gaming.

the nostalgia makes me sad
i remembered my old cs 1.6 back when i was small. There was this 2 brothers who was a very fanatic deag players and their body size was so huge, like the asian version of loba and pashabiceps. They don't buy anything, at any map, on any round, or whatever the economy state is, except a deag and full-vest. Never questioning or argue with their weapon decision, they just deag and rush.
There was once this LAN 5vs5 spar between community. The opponent was leading far ahead and begin to non-stop trashtalk about how bad a deag compare to rifle. On the next round, suddenly a loud sound breakout and stop the trashtalk. the older brother start to double, triple, quadruple, and quintuple headshots to the opponent. not with a deag, but with his fist which size was as big as my head at that time. They lost the match in the end, but from that on nobody in my city ever argue about how powerful a deag in the right hand who guiding it. or should i say in the right "fist".

One of the earliest pros to have used a deagle efficiently back in the days of 2012-2013 was Scream. He deserves much love and recognition for this.

except that was overblown by everyone. In reality, the inaccuracy at the apex of the jump was still the same and no one is going around hitting jumpshots every round like they were phoon

During beta counter strike 1.3 and just when cs 1.5 was beta stage.
There was no recoil for any guns. It was much like half life.
You just rush and jumped with guns with crosshair on enemy. It worked.
There are old SK , NiP and clan strategies revolving around bunny hops and deagles. Moment speed was not capped and you can achieve crazy bunnyhop speeds.
I remember during some Dubai based international Events one clan was able to do extreme bunnyhops. (Dust2 was not there - there was De Dust) . For making it simple to understand, these people could bunnyhop from ct base to t base in like 4 - 5 bunny jumps. Less than 7-10 seconds. Many old memories which current generation dosent know.

the deagle is a prime example of the types of things that make cs great. its a fully accessible gun that has a REALLY high skill cap, and one of the most satisfying guns to use in cs. it requires skill, and it means that the one with more skill always wins. theres no nonsense. theres no rng. theres no do this to get that to get the gun. its clean simple and a big "SIT THE FUK DOWN" whenever you make plays with it

Well, there is still rng involved. If you aim right at the head mid or long range with deag accurately at the center of the hit box, you still can miss because of the spread. It is an inherent attribute of any shot, or else why would there be clips of people missing 7 and more times in a row shooting right at the opponents head. So if even if you miss slightly your shot can actually connect, and likewise even if you shoot perfectly you may still miss by a small margin.

This makes me happy how much more balanced and viable almost all the guns are in csgo now

Im part of that group of people that just loves big damage slow/precise weapons. Playing with snipers in old cods or almost anything, revolvers, deagles it was just delightful. I loved playing advanced warfare with the MORS, RW1 and the spike balls (tomahawks), so fun having your full loadout being able to one shot.
Dude I remember being scared watching simple clutch in games. it's crazy how he'd pull massive comebacks out of seemingly insane pushes.

The Deagle really reminds me of The Ambassador from TF2. Extreme risk, extreme reward, and ridiculous headshot potential. Even the need to wait after each shot is eerily similar. And I don't know why, but the idea of a "pocket sniper" is just so satisfying and fun to use. The sad part being that The Deagle had a resurgence, while the modern Amby... We don't talk about that rotting corpse.

God i miss my dual beretta, to be fair my golden era included hostage rescue maps where i felt it shined. Its a mix of shotgun and smg when you spam out the rounds or a deadly burst mode when you master the huge cursor flare.

There is tactical use of a deagle in pro games. Because you can 1shot an enemy they often buy deagles in eco rounds. So a deagle have potential to kill an enemy even if he has an awp. With minimal investment they can potentially win a round against a full buy.
D-Eagle mains are the most skilled CS:GO players.

There's no such thing as a deagle main, you dont main weapons in CS, but I guess you mean the people who consistently buy them on ecos and put numbers on the scoreboard, deagle really is kind of the standard eco buy nowadays.

There was a pretty good discussion on reddit about using the deagle and it seemed that the consensus was people don't want to use it which blows my mind. Not only do you have a huge advantage on a second round after a loss but the skill you earn from frequently using the deagle will literally change the way you play the game. Like they said in the video DM hs only practice not only builds your pistol skills but it teaches you so much patience with any gun. Don't sleep on the deagle and don't underestimate yourself with the deagle, take the chance to learn it and it will sharpen your skills greatly!
