I Like the idea checking the CG the old fashion way
Some planes it just makes sense to keep it simple.

With that snow you'll need skies. Looking forward for the maiden.

Thanks Remi! Merry Christmas! Thanks for watching!
love your work....being a rigger for the past 25 years as my line work applying slinging technics to balance loads out for final placement etc i got really in death in my mind with how you balance the aircraft out
Thank you very much! And than you for watching!

Now you need a F86 Saber of the same size
Then after maiden flights,, maybe a little dog fighting lol
Just saying
Beautiful job as always
Thanks for the videos 😁👍
That would be cool! Thanks Jim for watching!
I use a three position switch for gear and another three position switch for lighting. On my gear switch, up is gear up and landing light off, middle is gear up and landing light on/deployed, and down is gear down with landing light on. For my light switch, up is off, middle is nav lights, and down is nav + strobe lights. Reason for this system is that I have only one two position switch on my radio (Frsky) and it is reserved for throttle hold, a carryover from getting started flying helicopters before moving to fixed wing.
Nice! What ever works for your brain is good! Far too often I see people looking down at their radio trying to find a switch. Big no no. Should all be easy to find with your fingers.
@@thelightersideofrc What I find to be just as important is consistency. I still fly helicopters from time to time, so while it is a challenge, I try to map equivalent functions to the same switches even across aircraft types (Gyro/Autopilot to Helicopter Gyro, throttle hold to motor kill, Idle up to flight mode/flaps, etc.) Unfortunately with my system the switches start in different positions based on the model, though I can program my transmitter with the intended starting positions for each model, and it won't load the model until everything is either correct or skipped, so loading the model is always the last thing I do right before powering it on.
Happy Holidays Jonathan &wife. One more customer Jet Done and looks Sweet . Jonathan what Cause the Yellow Flames so much this Time? This Jet Be Sweet flying in the Sky.👍🏻
Thanks Gregory! Merry Christmas to you! The look of yellow flames at the rear of the plane was the afterburner light doing it's job!
very cool!
Thanks Sean!
Have you considered building an F 100 super saber that would awesome!!!
That came up in discussions with one of my customers a couple years ago. Maybe in the future!
Very nice job and a very nice plane, looks much better than the ones that Mikoyan built.😊😊
Thank you very much!
What a fantastic Job you've done on the stunning Carf Mig!! Happy Christmas to you and your family Jonathan 😀👍
Thank you very much! Merry Christmas to you!
Looking forward to the spring , if these are customer jets hopefully you’ll get some footage of the flights too , nice work , you’ve been real busy , many thanks for your content this year , here’s to bigger things next year and some awesome ✈️ flights
Merry Christmas to you and all your family 🌲🙏
Hey Jay! Yea hopefully will get as much on video as possible! Merry Christmas!
Plane finisht, awsome Job done😃you and your Family a happy Christmas and a flightfull next Year😜
I'm excited to see what's to come next year
Thanks Thomas! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great video again. Look forward to the maiden in the spring I suppose. I noticed you did not use the automated balancer and I like the way you used the pulley system. Look forward to the next build. Merry Christmas to you and family.
Thanks Hank! Yea Spring time for sure! We have a tool on route that makes the Xicoy Balancer a breeze to use. On some planes the simple hanging method is just easy. Merry Christmas and Happy new Year!
🎄
Merry Christmas!
@@thelightersideofrc you and your family too
Mr. J I know that heated floor feel good on your knees when testing jets now...eh?
Oh YEA!!!! So nice. When it's cold out I go in the shop and lay on the floor! ☺
Do you check CG without Kerosene or with the usual amount that would be left after a flight?
Always is Landing condition. Gear down. UAT Full and with the amount of fuel you expect to be landing with.
Did you balance with fuel in the centre tank? All the fuel is in front of the balance. I’m back of the rear tube with over 1tr of fuel in the centre tank. I would remove most of the Aileron Expo…also just go 100% DR to start with, it’s very soft in roll and pitch. (I call switch position check…UP & Away. Front up and top away)
Thanks Dave. Yea Center tank about 1/3 full. Great info about the D/R. Thanks!
Nice job, how much does a plane like this cost?
Lots of factors but your looking about 25k USD to build.
I hope u don't have neighbors Johnathan because they must really love hearing jet turbines. Lol
HAHA. Nope! One of the benefits of the new house! No close neighbours.
@@thelightersideofrc I guess next is the Bull
You know if you would have lifted that nose higher, you'd have a clear entry to that door!
HAHA. No kidding hey! Thanks Thomas!
How much for the unit?
for the kit, check out carf-models.com/en/
Great pro-ject! I noticed in the thumb nail that a pitot tube might be on backwards. I might be wrong.
I think that is an antenna if it's the white one. Only goes on one way. Thanks for watching!
