David is my favourite Bon Jovi member. I have the key devil tattooed on my ancle (his tattoo on the back of his shoulder). He and Tico are the reasons I still want to see Bon Jovi. At 11 in 92 just seeing Jon on those stairs in keep the faith was like falling in love. Seeing them up close for the first time in 2001 made me fall out of it with Jon and made me adore David more. He's got so much fun on stage really seems to love it. And he's so incredibly talented. Once and forever a Lema Girl
Thank you so much for this wonderful interview! Such a fresh, somewhat different 'Bon Jovi' perspective and narration, new details coming from David Bryan compared to Jon's omnipresent, predominant, somewhat egocentric voice. New insight. Very interesting! Very well conducted interview and yes, the remaining band members sound like professional athletes! Very impressive and inspiring! Love to everyone!
Jon as well as Bryan are driven and lazer focused on making music. They haven't taken their foot off the gas in 40 years. Which is why they are still here. Egocentric? Maybe. But at the same time they value hard work and have helped others along the way...anyone who is completely honest knows that it's almost impossible to achieve their level of fame and not have it go a little bit to their heads. Fame is tricky. It will either turn you into an ass hole or give you a certain amount of humility and gratitude...
@@Julieglam3 I completely agree with everything you say! 'Egocentric' fails to capture the sentiment I have. I profoundly admire Jon in many ways (aside from his political campaigns; I prefer David's stance on claiming he's apolitical). I was just surprised to learn that David came up with the iconic piano intro into 'Runaway' and I never heard Jon giving him credit for this, always claiming that he wrote the song, got signed, assembled the band without mentioning David's seemingly not insignificant role. Again, it's easy to nitpick. They are all iconic! I love and admire the talent, character and personality of all of the mostly original band members. And they are human and not perfect. Thank you for taking the time to expand and 'correct' me and elicit a hopefully more nuanced response.
Great interview, love it, great to hear this storys. Great man in a great Rock Band. Love them. He is so full of energie and I like him to see him everytime on stage in action.
As a Decades long Bon Jovi fan and a successful Business owner I love this! My Dad once asked me "what is the worst thing you can do in any given situation" His answer " Nothimg" David , you Jon & the band are true inspirations & I will stop at Nothing to meet you guys one day. Now add Newfoundland Canada to next year's tour dates. ❤❤❤
I didn't know that Alec had substance problems. Ive heard different reasons of him leaving. One that he was the oldest member of the band and felt he wanted to get out. And that VH1 Behind the music Richie said he was just playing poorly and Jon said he fired him. And i heard that Alec gave some interview trashing Jon. It doesnt matter to me. Because back then seeing all 5 up there was just magic. They put on great shows
Exactly! And now he's crying because he had no sympathy and compassion from anyone when he left the band and never showed up the night of a show at the start of a tour. Jon never said one bad word about him, but now in interviews he's bad mouthing Jon and the band. That really takes some brass ones He needs to sober his ass up already and show some gratitude and class. Jon made him a very rich man and he ought to feel some appreciation for that.
he had every right cause Jon was treating them like they were non human robots. they said it is like being in the Mafia. now he was very wrong with the way he did it for sue
David, you are nearly as handsome as Jon and Richie, but you are the five star Piano master!! Brilliant, unique! Love ❤️ from 🇨🇭
Absolutely the BEST podcast I've ever listened to. David you are awesome 👌
I just love David! Such a down to earth, humble, smart, funny Jersey guy.
I just love him so much💕💕💕💕
I absolutely love David Bryan. He is so sweet and so nice and his curls are just so curly and white and beautiful really nice band Bon Jovi
Great talk I do agree with this Doc and it is one of the very best.
Godbless you as a good friend of Jon bon jovi❤❤❤❤

you are so right
The last man in Bon Jovi with long hair. Dave is the man!
Phil X has long hair as well.
its a hair piece
time to change it though

What a great interview 👏👏👏 It's great to hear in-depth interviews like this, especially with the other band members. Dave's great 👍
Brilliant interview/podcast - thank you 🙌🎶👌

I wouldn't call Jon's presence over the others egocentric. He's the front man, it happens with almost all bands

Fantastic interview, very inspiring! Love David’s energy and humor! 🙏☮️♥️
Awesome podcast, loved it ❤
❤ Humanity rising. ❤ Protection.
Great interview, love it, great to hear this storys. Great man in a great Rock Band. Love them. He is so full of energie and I like him to see him everytime on stage in action.
so great seeing more interviews with David. Seeing a different perspective of the band again

There's a typo in David's name. Should be Bryan instead of Byran.

You spelled his last name wrong in the title.
Please correct the video title to show respect to David. His last name is Bryan, not Bryan. Careless mistake.
Bryan is not his last name
When I was little, my dad wrote a song for me.
Has he ever written a song for his kids?
I thought runaway was jon and studio guys, david didnt play on it !roy bitten played on it
Love you guys but the intro to Runaway sounds like Billy Joel's All for Lena. Two great songs.
"Blessed" 😅
Dave not trying to be a dick, but that medallion looks like a possible replica of the circular saw blade that ate your finger lol

Correct the title please 😃

No brotherhood. He is Jon's employee (puppet)
David doesn't need to he a puppet for anyone. Hw writes and directs his own musicals.
one of the reasons why Richie left cause he was hoping it would turn into a real band instead of them being employees. Jon was not havin it
Big fan of DB but he is not funny. He has no delivery or charisma
The name of the old Playboy is David Bryan, not David Byran.
Sambora had alot going on please he didnt mean to hurt tje band
