12:36 I feel that "how to play when you're ahead" could be a whole-ass discussion on it's own. It's something I really have been looking at in my own play too. Being aware of my HP vs my opponent's HP and knowing that there are certain risks I do not have to take so why would I take them.
Awesome video, I feel this is exactly what a lot of intermediate players like myself needed to hear.

I made it to 1600-1700 MR without this guide and looking on how to get past that block. Everything he says is what I've independently found to be true.

I think my biggest problem is when i have someone cornered ill have a habit of jumping in the corner for the fake mixup and i always end up in the corner. I do it Everytime and idk why.
Been in the 1400-1500 range with Manon for a while now. Think my biggest issue is probably defense. I need to block more instead of trying to parry (getting punish thrown) or mash jabs (and getting counterhit by meatys).

Ryu mains - avoid block strings ending with medium donkey kick against ken - it's an easy punish for ken (stand mk). Ken mains - you need to punish block string donkey kick with st. mk. MDonkey kick from neutral can be spaced to be safe. MDonkey kick i believe cannot be spaced to be safe in a block string (not 100% sure).

Fchamp this is great. I got to 1700 last phase, but struggle 1500 this phase. Went 1540 - 1610 in an hour or two After taking a step back, and following your guide. I was too impatient. Any tips 1600-1700?
The no tech part, are you sayin to block frame one then jump or hold up on wake up?
I think hold up on wake up because if it's a meaty throw then you won't get the jump

@@artllo5860 luke its my first street fighter game and i started at rookie with luke and got him to plat but thats because i mostly played defensive as patient and only went on offense when i got the hit in neutral i feel the weakest as my whiff punishing skills feels weak
we all struggle, its just the process of learning
