- You usually can't have your cake and eat it too, but Toyota is at least letting you choose from two very distinct varieties.
In one corner there's the Corolla Cross Hybrid, one that's equipped with the brand's latest electrification tech for supreme fuel efficiency and EV-like serenity.
Then there's the Corolla Cross GR-Sport, which takes driving enjoyment sporty styling well beyond expectations, promising many grins from each corner you carve with it!

Nice review. I test drove both vehicles the Corolla Cross hybrid and GR Sport. In hard acceleration, the hybrid feels underpowered and lets out a louder and weird engine sound while the GR Sport feels more powerful with softer and normal engine growl. If you want a slightly more powerful vehicle which responds better in hard acceleration, the GR Sports or normal petrol model will be more suitable. The hybrid is just for fuel saving only but in terms of power it is lacking.
If long journey, what model do you think ok?
@@Wanpmsb in the end I didn't buy either. For long journey, my pick would be the petrol version of the Corolla Cross. As a matter of fact, for all driving patterns City or highway long journey I will pick Corolla Cross petrol or GR Sport for better drivability and normal engine sound in normal and hard acceleration. The hybrid lets out a weird and loud tone during hard acceleration.
I will only consider hybrid if the government raises price of Ron95 to crazy levels until all the rakyat cannot take it. At this stage it is still OK for me.

I wonder how to manage the vehicle out from the sloping parking lot. Toyota Cross is using leg pedal for "hand brake".
toyota equips their cars with "hill start assist". when the car senses it's on an incline it will automatically hold braking pressure and will release when you depress the accelerator. The system will continue doing so as long as it senses it's going up hill, though you can treat the pedal e-brake just like you would a normal e-brake. but rest assured that the car wont roll downhill in the time it takes you to switch between pedals. granted you dont shift to neutral.
Please compare with HRV-V spec with cross V-spec
