I’ve put hundreds of thousands of miles on ram trucks in past 12 years. I absolutely love them. I’ve had a big horn and now I have a rebel. Both the best trims in the lineup
You’re right, I’m lying just to sound cool. Go on the forums or watch the guy who has like 275k miles on a stock 2019 on truck central. You sound like you’ve never owned a Ram.
Nice video. Thanks for reviewing the RAM. I've had 2 RAM 1500 Laramies (2009 and then a 2018). They were great family trucks and held their resale value pretty well. I just bought a Chevy ZR2 for my wife since the "kids" are grown up and we don't need a full size any more. Love your reviews!
It's the only turbo Id want in a full size truck largely due to the straight 6 design & I heard they overbuilt the bottom end like they do with diesel engines I also remember years ago how straight 6 & slant 6 motors lasting forever
The Night Edition really makes the Rams look so amazing. Since we don't have kids I'd get the smaller quad cab with the longer 6.4' bed with the noght edition pkg and the 3.6 v6.
Hi. My 2024 Anvil JEEP Gladiator Mojave X I mentioned with you lasted 2.5 months. I had 2024 RAM 1500 limited night edition about 10 months just before. As cool and fun as JEEP Gladiator Mojave is. I realized needed more HP, cabin room, comfort. Quiet etc. August I traded for 2025 RAM 1500 Limited, at 79K. Equity loss etc factored in. Big payments. But worth it. For now. Air suspension back again is so nice. Really loving HO SST 540 HP Hurricane. Smooth. Fast. Missing HEMI. But. A nice engine. Massage seats. Drive modes. Sun roof. Didn’t get 360 camera. HUD. Digital rear view mirror. For the money on limited. That should have been standard. Limited level A equipment group. Hopefully these hurricanes last. It’s nice MotorTrend gave 2025 1500 RAM Truck of the year Award. RAM Boxes are super convenient.
@ Thank you. It is bonkers how much these are. I figure. While I can. Why not. Just an average IT salary too. Not super rich. I do wish waited longer for Tungsten. Some dealers marked em down less than 80K new. I didn’t think they would. Knew Tungsten starts at 90K.
I agree with you on your opinion about ram trucks. I was never a ram fan but it seems like in the last couple years they've stepped up. My question to you Jason is with all the truck manufacturers out there, are they still all using transmission and oil dipsticks? Just curious that would be a deal-breaker for me.
I have 2022 RAM BH it only has 35,000 miles and it needed a new engine, a frigging V8 Hemi .! WTF 🤬 ask the mechanics before you buy, they don’t lie.!!
Really wish that Ram can offer 360 cam as a somewhat standard feature. That means to pair it with level 2 pkg without the tow mirror and other tow stuff. So it can match F-150 XLT 302A (even though 2024 F150 301A offers 360 cam standard :/)
Jason, take one for a test drive, get up to 55 mph or so, drop all window 1/3 down, and grab you ear plugs. The sound is similar to a helicopter (real close).
@@Jason-Samko Unreal, after trying the Ram 1500, I went with a 2024 SR5 Premium and the first thing I did on the test drive (honest to God) was give it the window test - quiet as a lamb. Life is funny. Great channel !!
Same as 2020 Ram But they got ride of row physical buttons so now u have to twitter around looking for electronic buttons , dash way overdue for newer clearer design
Ram has blurred the lines too much between the lower trims and upper trim levels in my opinion, especially when you look at the night edition. The average joe can’t tell the difference on the exterior between a tradesman night package versus a Laramie night package. I still think Ram is the best riding full size truck available
This is actually a good thing, in my opinion. It means for those of us who want a nicely equipped Ram but don't have 70k to spend on one, they can still afford it.
Is Jimmy Britt the same dealer that was in Statesboro in the early 2000's? I went to Georgia Southern and had a lot of work done on my 1995 Ram at the time at the Dodge Dealer in Statesboro, I know it was a much older building back then but I don't remember the dealer name.
@ all the trims now except limited, tungsten and RHO. The headlights bug me the most. A rebel and larami don’t have the classic ram led front lights now?? I know it sounds silly, but to me it makes those trims look like a tradesmen and you are spending 60-70k.
I could see you in a power wagon if you bought a full size ram as I'm pretty sure it'd get you where ya need to go & more importantly it'd get ya home as well I only say that based on how you need your truck to work I mean rebels are great but you'd probably have to put better shocks ,& bigger tires where as the power wagon you wouldn't have to upgrade
sport appearance pkg gives you vented hood on any trim.....owned a 21 Laramie 4x4, imo it felt cheaper than the GM trucks and bed was bigger and more useful in GM....interior looks nice but doesnt feel like it owning one...door seals weren't as solid nor were the doors when you shut them....screen was nice, hemi motor was outstanding as well as the head lights and brakes....the seats were more comfortable....the Ram felt more like an SUV than a truck, was lucky enough to dump it at the height of the market or I would have gotten killed on resale..... Rams A/C was very weak as well, and back seats reclined which would have been nice for passengers, the 17 speaker harmon Kardon was lil better than the Bose but not by much same weight in the bed the GM seem to handle it much better, probably the leaf springs vs coil....prefer the horizontal screen vs vertical......Rams are way too much for what they are but your right you can deal on them.....paid 55k for loaded Laramie back then, sticker was 63ish for truck stuff I would pick GM, if I wanted a SUV with a bed probably the Ram....it drove too smooth, very car like........absolutely hated the shift knob!
Yes these trucks are nice but your hyping them up a bit big horn/lone star having usb chargers is not something to be crazy about everyone has phones so that’s pretty much a essential now in days 😂
Great video as usual, but unfortunately that motor has a lot of serious issues that need to be worked out I have the 2022 bighorn myself 0% financing when I bought it, but it has the hemi and I definitely would not buy a hurricane engine and I would not want to be the guinea pig at these prices
Nothing bugs me more than the new Rams headlights and tail lights for the 2025. What is that?? No projector LEDs classic RAM headlight with a light bars. Now it’s reflector LEDs???
Ram has great ideas. The actual parts quality is inferior. Buggy electronics and marginal reliability. The hemi has known issues the manufacturer refused to correct. It would win a beauty contest for sure. Ford has tons of issues on the F150. Chevy/GMC has issues as well. Shame on the big 3 for screwing the same customers that bailed them out when they were on the verge of bankruptcy. He’s obviously a fan boy as he’s WAY overhyping this truck. Very little has changed from 24 other than a turbo engine which is already plagued with issues by design. I dunno. I personally wouldn’t buy any new truck. All highly overrated and inferior parts and 30G’s overpriced.
And yet i don't own a ram and have not since 2019. So no skin in the game and not a fan boy and I surenin the heck would not buy a full size truck, I'd go straight to HD. So a fan boy is a pretty far stretch for you to assume. And with that said, knowing everything I know as a person that makes a living knowing trucks, the ram 1500 would be my absolute first choice. All day every day without question, without concern, without worry.
