Yea don't see anything new here. Bought one. Arrives today going to use it next week in "the most remote locations" as the video says and I'll see if I like it. Otherwise I'm sure I can sell it and recoup most my funds.
Also what are you sleeping on because setting up a bed and blankets will probably add double the time. All things you don’t have to do in a rooftop tent
I like idea of rooftop once i get smewhere i stay there unless to go bathroom and cant make it walking so drive i like idea of being off ground bed already included
I really dislike my rooftop tent, that being said sleeping on the ground sucks. It’s rough, wet, cold and the tent is big enough but add in a decent mattress that doesn’t go flat when it gets cold takes up space as well.
All this about. Lite, quick and fast. I don’t get. I chill setup of a tent, grill, ice chest, chairs, tables is all part of getting out.. people put too much pressure on themselves to do everything fast… just chill your missing the point and moment..have a cold drink.enjoy life.
It is $770. Add $100 for the weather pack which includes a rainfly and footprint. Also not in the video but the floor dimensions are 6’8” by 6’8”. Seems to me the price for what you get isn’t too bad. Try camping in a non-insulated tent in the winter and see how it goes. I wouldn’t use this tent in the summer in the south, but I wouldn’t use any tent.
Appreciate the time you took to make the video...Major downside to this tent....if you use a cot (I've tried 3 different ones) you have to move it almost to the middle in order to not rub up against the ends of the tent...messes up the interior space. Ok for one person, but two cots? forget it. Also, this tent is not cool in the summer even if you have all windows open. It's solidly built but has some definite design flaws...insane that the rain fly is sold separately on such an expensive tent. If you don't have it you will get a ton of water inside even with the windows buttoned up tight. I know I will appreciate it more with winter camping but there are better/cheaper choices out there.
ShiftPod wss the inventer of this type of tent and these guys seem to 100% copied that design. The SHiftPod has a reflective exterior with a reflector 'rain fly' keeping a barrier between the top of the tent and the sun and stays far cooler in the summer in the desert (IMHE). it even has a zipped in floor that can be taken out and cleaned. it also has AC vent holes so I can use the EcoFlow portable AC and make it more than liveable. Will you forgive me for having a rooftop tent I can't replace since it's part of the GoFastCamper I have?
@@desertchief5769 100% agree. I have the GFC shell and tent on my PowerWagon for two years and it's been fantastic. They even updated the lock hinges for me when they improved the design. Their rails along the tent base allow one to install awnings, lights, and all sorts of items.
Cool looking but they are expensive for what you get and it’s weird that the rainfly and footprint are extra at that price. Also strange that the windows are so small.
It's almost like they copied the gazelle tent but were like "how do we turn it into a barely vented sauna". When it's cold in my gazelle I just put another sweatshirt on, if I wanted a hotbox I'd buy a much lower priced ice fishing tent 🤷♂️

I like the rooftop tent
Wow they literally just took a pop up hunting blind and said “look new technology”
They think were all brain dead and will Just Buy that whatever they say is best
That's an ice shanty.
Overland TAX included

I feel like I'm watching an infomercial. I'm out.
That’s because we are
All overlanding videos are infomercials

Dafuck are you talking about? You just lay in the bed of the truck? That's bullshit dude.
Rooftop tents open up a lot of camp spots that would otherwise be extremely uncomfortable in a ground tent. Everything is a trade off.

I agree. Take some grammar classes though.
Some people want to setup quickly after driving all day
Tow a Sylvan GOAT trailer with a couple dirt bikes on it.
But can you put a wood-burning stove in it, turn into a hot tint where you can camp in it in the winter
How much? Outch!
Out with expensive RTT and on to $2000 ground tents!!
Nice! I've been looking for something like this. I have a RTT but it never felt like the right solution.

6:08 ??!!!?
GFC is the only RTT that I approve of. They're rad.

Is there plenty enough room for a large cot?

How much does it cost
I'm peeing in a bottle right now.
Can’t find ware to buy
Why not just buy an ice house hub house? Half the price, and it's literally where they took the idea.
It would have been nice if you showed us the fold up and fold down . Such a long video without that info is not helpful
Not bear proof like a hard sided tent
I give YOU my heart Soul everything belongs to you Father,AMEN
Coleman tents are only 30 bucks. And if you don’t have a tent on your roof no one will know you car camp.
I'll stick to my gfc lol
Ditto
Spent more time talking about what he’s going to talk about, instead of just actually talking about the tent.
$1200! for a tent. Yikes.
You talk way too much … show the tent while you talk Bro! Please 🙏 Man show the tent while you
Speak
About the tent.
