i believe iphone has stepped up their game for last year and this year. iphones camera itself is better than the note even if by a small margin watching comparison videos. however, both phones have their ups and downs because phones cant have good pictures every single shot.
Completely agree with you.. although I have the Exynos varient of Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra,but when it comes to camera it is definitely samsung's the best till date..
yes I also got a exynos note 20 ultra. The camera is great. If samsung repeat the themself like in note 10 series they will able to fine tune the camera more and more.
Great camera review, I just subscribed because of it. I have the Note 20 Ultra and love my camera for what I've used so far. And regardless of the iphone 12 and Pixel, this is still the best phone of 2020
just picked up a note 20 ultra from best buy, unfortunately already dark out here, I tested some night mode with tripod which gives u 20 seconds, my mind is blown, I have never seen such an amazing looking night shot, can't wait to try the full camera tomorrow morning lol

Are there any differences between the s20 ultra and note 20 ultra in terms of camera stills? I own an s20 ultra, and my thoughts are that they are the same.
@@Flaviusbob Yes they are pretty much the same in fact there are times when the S20 is actually better. But if the image is moving then the Note does a better job in auto focus.
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I've been using Note phones since the Note 3 and I'm a little disappointed with this camera. Every time I take a picture of something from a couple feet away the edges are all blurry. My previous phones didn't have that problem.
Sorry, but I have to disagree. I am no Photo expert, but I switched from the Huawei P30 Pro recently and this camera is a lot better. You cannot even compare. And the Huawei is 2 yeary old. It is a lot easier to operate, the bokeh effects are a lot better.The low-light performance is a lot better. The Samsung live fokus option is just a joke and the low light performance is just okay. The 108MP camera is just useless in my eyes. The 12MP Ultrawide makes better pictures in every situation, even in the evening. The number 108 is just used for Marketing purposes. How come, that I am not able to use 3x optical zoom, but I can use 5x. Up to 5x zoom, you directly go into a digital zoom Once you reach 5x, the quality directly gets better. Or do I miss anything there? Can you explain this to me?
This video is bullshit. Photos taking in sunlight will always look amazing. I don't see any photos taken in normal light. I have the phone for 1 month now and I found the phone camera to be horrible. I have 10 good pictures from 200 taken. Look into Sony Ericsson or Huawey if you want a nice camera on your phone.
Pixels seriously need to step up this year man....iPhones caught up bigtime last year and Note 20 Ultra cameras are seriously impressive. I like Pixels' image processing and stabilization but boy are they still stuck in 2017 -_-
Subbed... The camera on a phone is one of the biggest draws for me but samsung is also so personally customizable with themes and ringtones and whatnot and the Dolby atmos is the real deal in the car using Bluetooth. Since I am always on my phone, I will say coming from a pixel 3 to a note 10+ and then the iPhone 11 pro. The note 20 ultra is a phone I actually might keep thru the whole year. I'm a phone guy, what can I say? Nobody really carries a camera in their pocket all the time and the note 10s biggest drawback for me was the camera. Very happy with this phone so far. I'm not really a camera person nor am I an s pen kind of guy either but there's something about the note series that keeps me coming back to this type of phone. I remember when I first took my 865+ ultra out of the box and held it in my hand its just pure quality. the weight of it, that curved edge screen and of course that bump on the back that means business! after watching this video im going to get out there and take some shots and write down some notes! this samsung device is a multi tasking beast. as for the battery im not disappointed I've watched a few videos on how to get the best of it and im happier now. I hope everyone is enjoying their note 20 ultra too its a great samsung phone😊👍❤
I have this phone but I don't think the camera is good at all. It is worse than the s9 and s9 plus. All images taken with this phone is blurry and over sharpened/processed and looks like a painting and thus loses a lot of details. This issue of Samsung camera painting effect has started since the s10s and it has been there since then until the note 20 ultra. Really disappointed with the processing which makes the camera on Samsung very very terrible compared to its early years. Wish this issue was discussed and wish they will improve the camera and remove this over sharpening/processing on these Samsung phones.
The camera on the Samsung note 20 ultra is totally splendid. My only real problem is how there's no simple way to adjust the picture resolution. As much as I love high quality photos, sometimes you want to take a few in lower quality to help conserve storage space.
Note 20 ultra is still oversaturated often. I took some photots in the forest the other day and the tree leafs and grass is still too god damn bright green. I have to manually adjust things to make it usable. It does not take very natural photots when it comes to trees, and bright grass. that's where it still suffers.
Had the same problem on my regular S10 and S20. I had a S8 and imo that phone made the best photos. I loved that phone. My daughter has a iPhone xr and every time she shows me a photo that she took I am truly impressed. Apple (camera) software is 👌
I love the phone but for some reason my pictures turned out digital looking not crisp or clean. The focus seems to have a hard time focusing but when it does it's amazing. I take pictures all the time and went to school for it so not sure why I can not figure this phone out. I'm slightly disappointed.
I want more sound demo from the camera while recording video: live concert, outside, wind, noise. I found the audio to be more metallic than iphone/ LG V60.
Shutter lag kills the entire camera. Samsung's processing is terrible. Pixel 4 kills this thing. Just sold my note 20 ultra to get back my pixel 4xl back. Finally, capturing every moment again.
Unless your some kind of professional photographer. This camera phone is excellent unless your the type that like the only problem is that it takes 0000000.01 second more to open an app then the iPhone and that's a shame if your that type just walk around with a camera strapped around your neck

Samsung still puts that beauty filter even when you turn it "off" that definitely has not changed and the blues are too saturated. And greens sometimes. Yellow in low light looks like dudu brown

I wanted the flat note 20, and it’s a REAL shame that samsung screwed me so bad by making it such a god awful phone for the price...the periscope camera with the 5x would’ve sold it for me, but they couldn’t even do that. I was set to ditch my iphone for a new galaxy watch and go back to a note that is FINALLY flat...probably would’ve even picked up their bean headphones, too.
So one thing. I find that Samsung do ok outside. But if you have moving kids or pets their cameras are weak. How's the note 20 do? My Note 10+ can't even hold a candle to even a Pixel 2 when it comes to indoor and moving object photos
Looks good, less colour cast than iphone 11 camera that came out greenish or cyanish cast in plain white/grey skies or white snow. But my iphone 11 is fine thankfully nothing as bad as reviewer was experienced with. Perhaps my is a good copy? Only bother me is reflection on lens though.
Other 2020 flashings not out yet. I still pick up skin smoothening and inaccurate skin tone especially on front camera. Last years iPhones are still best video recorders which is 50% of camera aspects
Hey. I wonder. Can you hard switch from one camera to another and stay there? I mean, I have a Note 9 and I can only use the 2x telephoto in very bright conditions. Sometimes it switches to the main camera and I end up with a cropped photo from with lower quality.
One other Review show the Note 20 Ultra vs the Note 10 lite camera. And I have to say, the quality of the Ultra cam ist not that big of a leap, except some night video is a bit better, the ultra its just more versatile. That really made me think about it, also some other side by side with the Pixel 4a, same same.
You're noticing the camera is better because you're using the Exynos version. Photos out of that unit are always better...it's just the performance and battery is worse than the snapdragon
Shame mine had no airbuds given the contract upgrade after it came up after the pre-order end date. Oh and I have removed music apps and subs to music artists due to the lack of headphone jack and no adaptor in the box.

With the note 20 ultra, the saturation has been toned down. The results are good. I think the only thing that is less than amazing with this phone is the battery performance. While it isn't bad by all means, if you get the Snapdragon variant that is.

Do you get motion blur when taking photos os moving thing (cats, dogs, children) at low artificial light? Not using night mode, of course, just auto mode. I'm trying to decide between note 20 ultra and p40 pro and can´t get enough information about that, and I know from previous phones that Samsung usually has some shutter lag with motion blur in their camera (unlike Pixel phones, por exemple).

If you zoom in, you can see some background fails, but from the distance the overall picture is impressive

Exynos. Thermals aren’t really the issue, but what I didn’t know was the difference in performance between the two CPU’s.

Why does everyone say 108 mega pixel sensor? After 5 times optical it’s digital zoom, therefor not a 108 mega pixel lens
