      @@TheSloganOfficial I dont have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and dont plan on buying one just to make a video - I made this video with the phone I'm currently using and the whole point of it is to inspire people to go out and shoot no matter the gear/phone they have. If you dont want to sub you dont have to, your choice.

      Actually most Samsung phones before one ui 2.0 could only capture a few stars bc the shutter speed was limited to 10s and the iso was limited to 800 iso after one ui 2.0 you can shoot at 3200 iso and up to 30s.

    This is sick. Definitely alot of work. The VIP is the user. The phone can only do so much if the user doesn't know how to use all the features of the camera.

    Your shots and edits came out great man! I have the S20 5G and I have been taking pics of the stars for a couple months now. I love how amazing everything comes out. My only issue even being on a tripod with 2 second delay at anything over 15 seconds i get trails. I also use the Lightroom app on my phone to edit the raw files.

      Ye that's the issue right? Because the aperture can't go any bigger and you can't go too high on the ISO then you're stuck shooting at 15s or 30s which means you will get a bit of trailing. But I think it's still pretty impressive that you can get this on a phone! :)

      @@brannonbarakat457 I would like to see them too. I have taken some pretty illshots with my 4 XL too I even have a TH-cam video of them, but they're not nearly as great as the shots in this video. That's partially due to the fact that there is still some light pollution around me though.

    this is amazing! the best Astrophotography on a smartphone! i really appreciate your hard work!
    I also hope iphone can do long exposure shot too.
    there's some app for 30s long exposure, but it seems like not real long exposure.
    it just photoshopping short exposure photos stack again and again
    apple seems like limiting camera module's exposure time to 1/3s

      Thanks so much! I'm sure on an iphone you can download a 3rd party camera app that allows you to control the settings and also shoot in RAW as well - it's just convenient that Samsung allows this in the native camera app :)

      Since iphone 11 its shooting real 30s long exposures.
      Older iphones can shoot up to 1sec exposure

    This is crazy. I used a Sigma lens to get a similar shot.
    Settings: f1.8 / ISO 400 / Speed: 15 seconds

      There are ways to take good photos even with a budget phone :) Go out and shoot as much as you can and push your creative boundaries

      @@demasrusli actually p40 pro and mate 40 pro have a slightly larger sensor, 1/1.28 vs 1/1.33" on samsung. Not a huge difference but yeah. Note 20 U pixels are 2.4micrometers while p40 i think is 2.5 or 2.6

      It's the Exynos model and yes the battery life is fine, I use it everyday and it lasts all day 😀

      @@farhaanmohammedhafees9459 I've got the Exynos one and whilst it's an awesome phone, the battery life is not fantastic. It's ok but not great. I do have a lot of stuff turned on though, but so you should right? Wish we got the Snapdragon one here in Australia as well

      I didnt spend hours processing and editing - it was actually quite a quick editing process.. I am still blown away I can shoot the Galaxy/astro on a phone though..

      While you may have been joking, to anyone who thinks this or takes the comment seriously, post processing gets better and better as the raw ingredients do.
      2 to 3 years all the editing in the world by the most high paid creators would do nothing but show faint specs on dark sky in the same situations with phone hardware of the time.

      i do admit it can record the best 4k@60 but... thats it. the camera isn't bad but there are better options, and the OS is the worst (thats what i think after trying it) and it isn't even that good in hardware wise. so why

    Great video and tips on astro shooting! I set my Note down flat on the floor once with similar settings, used my spen for remote shutter and got a great pic the very first shot. Phones are getting crazy.
