@stillsolo You read the country exclusion list wrong. It' the other way around. Only 69 countries have PSN accounts. The rest 120-ish countries do not have them.

i quit at a perfect time two weeks ago seeing as not a single update made any sense o impact
I can see that
I'm probably not going to quit, cuz a PSN account is like whatever for me, since I already had one setup with fake info cuz I thought it'd be required for crossplay. But I'm pissed that they're forcing this on people and just leaving a lot of players out to dry, which is why I've left a negative review. I'm mad in behalf of my other fellow Helldivers, and still holding out hope that this will get changed. But reality is probably just that Sony doesn't care and is happy letting Arrowhead take the fall for this so long as they pump up those sweet sweet PSN numbers to harvest that data and report more users on their quarterly report.

It feels like the Devs trying to kill the game, because theygot too many players, but they don't want to spend more money on servers...
I was thinking along these lines as well. But cant say for sure without data.
it was Sony's decision in the end of the day, not them. They just had to follow what's being implemented.
That's kind of a silly take, if they have more players they make more money and can just buy more servers. If they lose their players/people ask for refunds *then* they have to scale down the servers.
I think they are just getting lost in the sauce of nerfs
