McKeil Marine Salvaging a Barge

- McKeil Marine was hired to salvage the barge, Sault au Cochon in the Northumberland Straits in Nova Scotia. Using various tugs and special designed barges the salvage was a success for McKeil and for the surrounding environment.

hey sweet they showed the tug that was originaly named the Foundation Vibert, its the "modern" sister tug to the one my grampa use to own. the ex foundation (later named point) vibert was built in 1961, while the one my grampa owned was built in 1958 and named the Point Valour.

As a carpenter - save that wood!! Gotta believe its second life for a tree. And on another note - the mechanics that service those hydraulic pumps, servicing machines like that, Its like working on a transformer , superhero in a way - but in the real world !
