I love seeing the greatest platformer game of all time still being relevant. Banjo Kazooie was such an incredible game, and one of the very few games who had a sequel who improved and expanded upon EVERYTHING that was great about its predecessor. Banjo-Tooie was the perfect sequel. I think I'll watch the WR run of that one after this one! :D
Hey. Congrats on the WR. It was great to be able to finally see a new WR for this speedrun category. I'm relieved that the mistake at 28:48 didn't cost you the run. I'm also relieved about the luck that you got at 1:11:18 as that bit could've cost you the run. A few mistakes here and there but overall you did a great job and managed to produce what was a very overdue new WR for this speedrun category.
Thanks! I'm so happy I didn't lose this run to those mistakes, that would have made me quite sad. This run is far from perfect, but I am still super happy about the outcome! I don't think I will push it farther for the time being, but a low 1:55 is definitely doable with a bit more training and practicing!
My God. I know it's calculated and everything, but when you were in Clanker's Cavern underwater and didn't resurfaced to replenish the breath, I was so anxious.

I looked this up simply because I was revisiting it casually and wanted to speed things up a bit lol. I think after Furnace Fun Skip is when I kinda stopped watching given the whole situations surrounding various runners at the time... Anyway, really solid run.

I never died in Click Clock wood. However, we do go out of bounds to void out instead. Doing this brings me back to the start of the level, but I since I never actually died, I still get to keep my notes.

There's a specific line you can take that the sawblades can't hit Banjo's hitbox.

I have yet to fully play through banjo-tooie still. Maybe sometime in the future, but no plans to run is as of right now.

I spent 9 months straight pushing for the record. My time before grinding was a 2:01:30.
