A while ago, I made this Banjo-Kazooie iceberg image. Now, I'm doing a video explaining it. 0:07 Intro 1:16 Layer 1 13:07 Layer 2 27:03 Layer 3 34:48 Layer 4 44:16 Layer 5 52:42 Layer 6 59:14 Outro
Some minor corrections *Mount Fire-eyes: that was confirmed to be a fake rumor by the developers, but they admired the dedication of the fans to make a wiki page for it. *Stop and Swap: The items that appear in Tooie appear regardless even if you don’t have a save file from Kazooie in the N64 version, Stop and Swap was also meant for Rare’s other games for the N64 after Banjo Kazooie (DK64 being the only game having some work done for stop and swap alongside Tooie before it was scrapped, not just the BK fridge but also a cut DK statue in Creepy Castle that would’ve tied to Stop and Swap.) * Tooty’s whereabouts: Again not a correction, but the original pitch for Grunty’s revenge explained that she was having her own adventures offscreen which I feel makes more sense than the Rubbish video game police. Still a pretty good iceberg video regardless! There was some stuff I didn’t even know about!
Regarding Stop N Swop, I saw Ben Rai's excellent documentary on it a week or so ago and had come to say similar. I like the scope of what Rare wanted with Stop N Swop, and it's a shame hardware limited what they wanted to do.
Pretty sure the part about Stop n Swop 2 items being used in Nuts & Bolts is incorrect. The template vehicles mentioned are unlocked with the original SNS items, and the ones from 2 have no use whatsoever.
Just figured I'd step in here; The composition for "Teddy Bear's Picnic" was written in 1907 and is therefore in the Public Domain. The _lyrics_ were added in 1932, meaning those are still protected under copyright. If you wanted to, you could find an instrumental and simply add singalong lyrics on-screen.
I think Barrell Boy may have been a subtle insult directed toward Bottles' weight, Kazooie is a real classy bird after all and would probably stoop to such comedy
Man, your sense of humor really elevates an already interesting and well organized topic choice. Pretty sure I ACTUALLY laughed a couple of times, and that almost doesn't happen anymore. You are really good at this! Thanks for the fantastic video!
Off to a strong start with this channel, it feels like. Hope this gets a fair amount of views. There's already a ton of iceberg videos, but if you want to keep making them, I'll gladly watch.
Damn, ever since throwing my hat back into the small youtuber ring I'm getting recommended all sorts of small gaming youtubers, and man it's great. There's just a neat feeling of old youtube style passion and simplicity, and it's real nice.
@@agentepolaris4914 I'll avoid posting the link because I'm not sure if that would get my comment removed, but you can find it by searching "banjo kazooie iceberg" and then using the recently uploaded option.
44:30 Well I be a Mumbo's uncle! I can't believe someone actually found that old BK Crystal Jiggy proof of concept!! Farfetched to believed but some of those sketches shown are actually some of mine when I was like around 15 years old (opening scene concept, Hub entrances sketches, enemy concepts) which is why they are really bad, hahaha. Obviously we were all really young folks working on something way too big for our britches and we had little knowledge of how to pull off so the whole project fell apart fairly quickly as far as I know. But it was a food memory nonetheless. No idea if the concepts that ended up in the mod were taken from our old thing or just coincidence, but regardless I thank you a lot for giving me a small trip down memory lane!
Vídeo fenomenal., cara. Parabéns! Você resumiu com maestria TODAS as curiosidades do meu game favorito. Meu sonho é a volta dessa dupla num remake tipo Banjo X e num novo game. Phenomenal video, dude. Congrats! You masterfully summarized ALL the interesting facts about my favorite game. My dream is the comeback of the duo in a remake like Banjo X and a new game.
56:20 the legs and wings thing is very true. In some Rare Replay bonus video content, original devs of the game talk about giving banjo more advanced moves, and that started with kazooie just being wings and then legs coming out from the backpack
I think the reason that the music for Bottles' Party doesn't need to be listened to to be unlocked for the jukebox is because most returning players would just go straight to the final boss after beating Tower of Tragedy. I guess the game developers realized that it isn't worth it to win Tower of Tragedy, go to Bottles' house during the party, listen to the music, and then go back to beat the final boss. I think only beginner players or people who like to see all the details of a game would actually go to Bottles house between the quiz and final boss.
I just started watching but it was such a throwback to hear the mention of Mandolin from the RWP! I used to frequent those forums as a kid (pre-Nuts and Bolts release), and I still look back on those memories fondly now that I’m in my 30s. I remember they had a pretty great April Fools’ prank one year (which they started as far back as February for believability) involving supposedly finding the unfinished but still usable remnants of Stop N Swop through data mining the game (including new never before seen eggs). It was a ROM hack of course, but they were so dedicated with making it believable! Thanks for the vid!
48:31 I’M SO GLAD I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FELT THIS WAY. In fact the entire Terrydactyland level in general has always just felt really unsettling to me and I could never quite figure out why. ESPECIALLY the Stomping Plains.
I remember buying Nuts & Bolts, excited to see Banjo years after his classic adventures in HD... only to have weird car building as the main focus and a mechanic that over-powered the whole game. Imagine purchasing the next Super Mario obviously, only for it to be a Mario Paint HD remaster.
Seriously. You don't know that Grant Kirkope admitted that the original purpose of Stop and Swop was for Banjo-Kazooie and DK64 to interact?! Did you not here that from there you were supposed to be able to share items between other rareware games?
55:40 Maybe they represent Banjo's and Kazooie's ancestors meaning that they are part of ancient, important bloodlines. Perhaps that would be one of the extra reasons why Grunty considered Tooty important enough to kidnap, besides her youth. That's my fun speculation.
Glad to see people still is talking about this amazing franchise, there were many details I didn't knew. Also feels great to see an Iceberg again. Totally subscribing my dude.
The Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts concept art (Mainly the Humba ones for exemple): [Exists] Me, as I watch the video: [Recognise the style of Jolly Jack. To make it short, they do make pretty ladies, like a lot] Nice video!
Everytime you showcase doing the game doing something interesting or cool your reaction is always "ok..." Or "I dont know why they did this..." Bro get on an ssri 💀

Got a copyright claim, had to mute the part where it plays "Teddy Bear's Picnic"
Damn don’t let it way on you. Love banjo/rare videos. Always nostalgic.

Use MIDI.
That's gay
@@chuckthequail137 I had to look it up. There's a video on that song that's been on youtube for 17 years.
Bear With A Sword that eventually became Banjo looks badass and I will headcanon him as Banjo's medieval ancestor

Where has THIS been the last 3 days
29:00 My satisfying factory building was abruptly halted. So yes.
I LOVE niche Rare facts. Crazy how a games development is so well documented all these years later.
Perhaps they gave Mr. Fit more of a role in Nuts 'n Bolts because they originally wanted to do more with him in BT
According to Gregg Mayles, he just brought back Mr. Fit "because he was so daft". As good a reason as any, methinks!
good video, hope to see more from you!
Solid video for less than a hundred subscribers! You got a sub from me dude!
Excellent video. So much stuff I had no idea about.
Epic fail
This video rocks dude
Nice video. I liked it.
Awesome video man!
22:24 or maybe kazooie is mocking bottles size,
I mean the fat on him makes him ook like a barrel,
I think about the "what if Nintendo owned BK" all the time too...😢
Omg nuts and bolts must be mentioned in this at least a few times 😍
29:00 Ah...😨
Two BK iceberg videos from different channels in less than 24 hours? heck yeah
Where's the other one?

The rhymes at the end were amazing! Love your channel
And Tiptup! Tiptup is a Banjo character too!

31:23 Fun fact: that Mumbo skin was designed by Mark Brown (from the Game Maker's Toolkit channel) as part of a Kameo skin design competition.

That was a really interesting iceberg, I learned a few things about Banjo-Kazooie
I liked the litte Rhythm heaven sting at the Pregnancy bit
I actually slowed down to .25x speed for your rant so I could hear it all.
u sound like u walk around ur house in slow motion for fun
@@Ashley3AndKnuckles no I just wanted to hear what he was saying
Are Iceberg videos really a meme?

great video! always nice to see some new BK theories and learn things I never knew about before :) keep it up!

Finishing a puzzle then coming across a video talking about a game that uses jigsaws as their puzzles.
I was playing Diablo 4 and listening to this video and your part about penis rock was verbatim how i reacted😂
You might think "Mingella's Milk" is weird but Minghella Ice Cream is a genuine thing on the Isle of Wight.

Thankfully Playtonic doesn't own Banjo-Kazooie so Kazooie always being pregnant is not canon.
I'm still waitng for Banjo Threeie. I jjust loved the game v.v
Everytime you showcase doing the game doing something interesting or cool your reaction is always "ok..." Or "I dont know why they did this..." Bro get on an ssri 💀
I would like to see a Donkey Kong Iceberg video. The ones I’ve come across have been too short and/or only cover the Country games+show.
maybe "barrel boy" was because Bottles body shape is kinda barrel-esque
Banjo Kazooie Worlds Collide is a little similar to what was conceptualized for Banjo X
I’m really enjoying this video! I’ve seen many icebergs and this one was entertaining.
Love me some banjo kazooie!
Mumbo is a Pokémon apparently. A mysterious Shaymin.
40:06 it is not just you who thinks like that, i do as well!
I don’t know how I got it but I had the banjo kazooie promo video as a kid. I don’t remember what else was on it.
Great vid man - you deserve way more subs. Keep it up :)
29:00 I was the one viewer prophesized.
Enjoyed every second of this video! Very well made
Still can’t believe Yooka Replayie is a thing
The only iceberg video I may ever watch
YT recommended me this video, good stuff!
