@@omsteve4761 you can literally see the shadow of the car, but I don't believe the camera is strapped to the grill. I'd assume they have some sort of rig to support the camera for these smooth shots.

Indeed! In addition to running over 60mph behind him, he clearly moved his camera hand up and down in a way to perfectly offset his jerky movement while running at superhuman speeds, giving us a perfectly smooth video to watch as well! Very nice work from the camera man

I've done similar with Inlines and its all about routine and training - and ofc Inline-Skates are way less able to shock-absorb than this longboard. The wood does a good job here. You need to have good trained calves and hours of driving. Your soles of your feet will become callus and your leg muscles get used to it.
This video is so majestic, the flair from the sunlight, the wind flowing through his clothing, the sheer thrill of his downhill ride...the way that he aligns his right knee behind his left knee for the ultimate downhill aerodynamic speed.
This dude does not even have knee pads, but he drives at high speed along a mountain road. And I’m even scared to ride a skateboard in a flat city park.

If by "cruise" you mean plummet 600 miles per millisecond down a 40 degree mountainous paved road with hairpin turns every 11 inches - I'm'a give that a hard pass.
Not being a skate boarding fan, I have only just come across this guy due to his death in a plane crash in Iceland. It is a great loss to the skate boarding fraternity and all who knew him. I would probably have thought twice before doing what he was doing, on a bicycle, let alone a skate board. An truly amazing talent.
I remember being able to just tell my body to do crazy things when I was young and athletic and it would just comply. Now my body laughs at me. You took that same ability and cranked it up 100 notches. You are the kind of athlete who says if I can do this, then what else can I do and go do it. It’s frightening and exhilarating to watch at the same time.
That close call at 2:35 was amazing! You held that slide to the last possible second and still made it. I wish I had enough confidence to power slide like that. I learn so much from watching your videos. Total respect to you Josh!

@@adamvoliva I'm not too sure about that. If the guys sliding on the ground, he's pretty light and friction would slow him fairly fast. A heavy ass car on the other hand better at least have some good brakes
