just rooted my LG V50 V500N using this and i can confirm it works and i can vouch that this is brick proof as long as you strongly follow the backing up part, AND A VERY IMPORTANT ADVICE---- this tutorial video is for advanced users only who has previous adb and rooting knowledge because the uploader SKIPS ALOT of newbie how-to steps that is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on ur situtation --- good luck

Add a fingerprint fix tutorial too... Downgrade to 10e or f goto hidden menu and check optical fingerprint, enroll fingerprint from settings and upgrade to 20e. Fingerprint will be fixed. Also remove TWRP, it does not work with stock rom, people will get softbrick if they use it.

Make sure your mobile is connected to a usb 2.0 port ok your pc / laptop
Newer laptop come with usb 3.0 ports and they don't work well with fastboot
